Sirheni, the S 56, and an Unbelievable Pride of Thirty-seven Lions

Our many, many years of visiting the Kruger Park have left us with some profound memories, few more special than a pride of thirty-seven lions we found on the S 56 near Sirheni Bushveld Camp. The s 56 is one of the most scenic roads in the park, replete with huge, old, and beautiful indigenous trees; frequented by leopards, lions and buffalo, and providing chance encounters with three of the awesome exotic antelope, Eland, Roan Antelope, and Sable. Giraffe and elephant are of course also frequent visitors to this exceptional road. Starting at Babalala Picnic site, it winds along the banks of two rivers, the Mpongolo and the Shingwedzi and culminates on the H1 6 near Shingwedzi Rest Camp where you can stop for tea or a delicious cappuccino. Only a few weeks to go for me till my 5 week visit. Last time I was there (15 years ago) I can remember pulling up numerous times to a sighting or waterhole, camera in my lap with coffee and rusks, I couldn't think of anything else in this world I'd rather do...safe travels and enjoy the rest of your trip !!! ...Andy 🤠😎

We go in Sept for 3 Months only in the Real Kruger >> North of Phalaborwa Camping with the Last 7 Nights at Satara to see how Hollywood is doing these days Lol

Thats is the Boyela Pride , Krugers Largest Pride and hardly anyone sees it as they all think the Big Prides in the South>. Cars Yes but no BIG Prides >> thats in the North !!S56 , Boyela , Babalala is where I see this big Pride >> I have only seen them though with 29 Lions >> This is Not a Duiker standing Still Its a KLIPSRINGER >> A Duiker doesnt even stand like that and they always beat a hasy retreat wheras a Klipspringer STANDS .. Look at the Fur its grizzly Klipspringer Hide >> a Duiker has smooth Hide. Wrong: When A Duiker senses Danger it Darts off Fast .. Hence its Name Duiker ( Diver)
