Wow. It is amazing how Elephants keep on impressing the world. I agree with you! Magical.
I have noticed the same on many of these nature videos...but you wouldn't think it possible w/elephants...Then, gone...no trace, except the footprints.
On these types of trails we were warned that if you saw an elephant dung-pile, that was still steaming, you were point-blank in the danger zone. Yep, the bush just opens and closes like sliding doors even for the largest land mammals on Earth.
This is barely related, but it's the same with deer that live near me. They live in a fairly small wooded area and I've only seen them a handful of times. I've explored the woodland a lot as a kid and have no idea where they stay during the day.

Thank you for the kind words! Africa is a beautiful place.
I love the fact that these guys were in a way prepared for this situation hearing from their communication, even the driver telling him to hit the bonnet, big ups to the guides
Elephants have an innate fear of humans due to the amount of time they've lived alongside us. We're not the biggest or strongest, but we are incredibly adaptable, intelligent, and live in large groups. This means that if one person is killed, it's more than likely that more people will come for whatever killed their friend. There are lots of videos where people who hold their ground are able to ward off large elephants. Really neat stuff!
Wow! Fantastic job to the guide and his co-worker. I would’ve had a heart attack right on the spot! Good job on the elephant’s part too for self control💜
You know how they say an elephant 🐘 never forgets, i think it turned away because it knows the guides that work there, if it was a stranger it would have been a different story.
@Rigza_wa_Jane no lmao, it's because elephants test if you are confident or not by charging at you. When it charges at a rhino or human and they don't move they stop because they think you are calm because you can win against them and don't feel threatened. Running shows fear which means the elephant is confident in the fact that it poses a threat to you
The Elephants sees these safari jeeps quite a lot, they probably see it as a nuisance, rather than a actual physical attack. I'm sure if they felt impending danger no one would be able to walk away from their wrath.
When I went on a safari, we saw the elephants from far away and they came toward us to check us out. It probably depends on the situation in the park, but they seemed as curious about us as we were about them 😊
It's 100,000 years ago. You're walking with some other hunters from your tribe through the scrublands of Africa, armed only with primitive weapons. Suddenly you hear a trumpeting sound and the snapping of tree limbs. You look ahead and see a massive, tusked animal running at you with incredible speed while making the loudest sound you've ever heard. It's incredible to think that every human on Earth had ancestors who experienced this very situation. We've come a long ways as a species.
