    Well after watching a zillion videos on how to make a traveler's notebook arrangement, I don't have to look at any more videos. Your method is by far the best and makes a really professional and serviceable notebook that will last a while. Thank you!

    I really like what you did here. You are actively creating instead of just consuming. I love how popular these travel journals are, and I love anything that inspires people to write more but I am not a fan of feeling the need to go out and buy things just to scratch the creative itch. I feel the benefit to taking your time to create something like this is that you will end up writing in it more often because of the pride you feel in it. It truly becomes YOUR journal. Thank you for the wonderful content.

    Hi! To keep the elastic from undying themselves, put a couple of drops of nail polish on the knot! If you coat the elastic ends with nail polish, they will be less likely to fray also. PVA glue (white school glue) works as well, it needs more than one coat to get the same results as the nail polish though. Also, if you put a little clear nail polish on the eyelets, they will take WAY longer to tarnish! Thanks for a great video!

    When using staples be aware than unless they are brass they will eventually rust and damage the pages - this will take a good number of years, but if you want it to last there are many Japanese sewing/bookbinding techniques that will let you have pages that will open flat without any rust problems

    This is a very exciting project for making a totally custom vegan Traveler's Notebook (any color paper and elastics, etc., etc.) with thoughtful attention to detail and really clever techniques (like not needing to buy the really long, strong staplers)!!! Your videos are beautifully filmed with very clear information. Only thing missing is I'd love to see how to make a pen loop.

    I'm just starting to use traveler's notebooks for my bullet journal because I was so tired of transferring all my collections and logs from journal to journal. This way I can have all my main logs and collections in one notebook and just switch out the monthly/weekly/daily log book when those are done with.

    Love your tutorial. The only thing I would change is the binding of the inner inserts. I would totally take the extra time to stitch them together because knowing clumsy me, the staples won't be enough to keep my inserts together. I really love your closure idea!

    I came here because I wanted to learn how to make a bullet journal inexpensively and that I wouldn't have to buy supplies for the only thing I had to buy were the eyelids and those were not expensive at all. Overall whenever someone asks me where I got my bullet journal i'll be able to tell them I made it myself and i'm really exited about that. Thanks for making the amazing video!

    So, I watched a number of TN tutorials in prep for making one, but yours is the one that hits all the right notes. It answers or explains how to avoid the pitfalls I ran into, the pacing is perfect and narration pleasant and concise. Plus the video work itself is flawless. Also I wanted to have three strand spine which I couldn’t find in many other vids. Only question, rather than using two different strings could you just use a longer strand and incorporate the width stand into the length strands? I’m not phrasing it well. I hope your video moves up the foodchain so that other ppl like myself come upon it quickly, would have saved time and bother!

    • @MyLifeinaBullet
      @MyLifeinaBullet  5 лет назад

      Thank you so much for the kind words, they mean a lot! That's a good question! I'm sure it could be done, you could use a single string for both the closure and to hold the notebooks, but I'm not sure what the technique would be. But with some trial and error I'm sure you could find a way 😁
