    This type of video is why I subscribed to your channel. So few Etsy sellers discuss the smaller, yet important issues like these. Thanks for all of your work!

    Excellent video, I love your vibe, so relaxed and different from most of the other people that are doing these videos. I have subscribed on both of my channels! I’m in the process of scouring your channel now - I am just starting to add my listings from Printful, so the timing of me finding this is perfect. I’ve really been struggling with all of this, thank you so very much and keep it up!

    Super helpful. This inadvertently helped me decide that I might as well keep starting my listings on Etsy instead of Printify, saving a huge amount of time upfront. I wasn't crazy about going into Printify to manually add a second item to someone's order. But this shows that you probably have to do it anyway if you're using different providers bc of the shipping tracking number glitch on the Etsy side. You either have to spend the time upfront on Printify, designing items that probably won't even sell, or spend (much) less time on Printify later, clicking a couple times to fulfill the items that actually do sell. Hopefully this makes sense. There's no escaping some active work with pod. The question is what active work you want to do 😁

      You're right! You can either put the time in on the front end or the back end. In my opinion it's worth publishing from Printify for super basic listings that only contain one or two variants from the same provider (like mugs or tote bags) because orders will sync, but there definitely is a point with the number of variants in a listing where it's not a good return on your time investment. I've actually made some bigger listings on Etsy and then took the time to copy/paste Printify SKUs over after it made a few sales, so that's even a third option if you identify that a listing is going to keep selling and want to sync all the variants.

      @@PODinsights Yes you read my mind:) I start mugs on Printify because they never change and I find them kinda finicky to do. About 75% of my listings are combo listings and I just don't want to design all the variations in Printify lol. I'm not sure about others, but my sales tend to follow the 80/20 rule (20 percent of my listings sell 80 percent of the time). Of course I'm new and have a very small shop, other sellers might have better conversions and do stuff differently. Going forward I'm going to copy and paste my skus to Etsy once something sells, as you mentioned. I've been kicking around the idea but just never did it lol. It sounds great to be fully automated, but I know that as long as I'm growing my shop, I'm spending less time & being more productive this way. And there's always customer questions and weird glitches like the Etsy shipping thing that you need to do. This video was great bc it really went in depth and didn't recycle the same old info 🙌 Edit: I am still going to stay on manual fulfillment though, just in case someone orders more than one listing, I can add it to the same order. I am also a bit of a control freak and feel more comfortable taking a quick look at the orders before sending to fulfillment. Committing to where to start my listings has really been a mental struggle for me lol.

    Hey there, i found this video very helpful, thank you! I did not realize the consequences of the manual vs automatic renewal. I did not know that it would nevertheless auto renew after a sale. So i changed all my listings to manual and will then check every expired listing and make seo adjustments if necessary. Regarding the VAT charges - i thought that etsy would charge the vat and then transfer it to the country, i was not aware that printify charges the vat as well - or did i misunderstand that?

    I live in the UK but I am only selling in the US now! Using US print providers... So on top of all the fees I am also going to get charged? If I price something 21.99 when I open the product in the etsy the price goes up around to 24, isnt that the VAT that got added?

    If I turn all of my listings to “manual” will the listing still renew after a sale or will I have to manually renew that too just like at the end of the 4 months???

      It looks like we all will have to adjust to a new Etsy listing workflow now too! I just received the changes in my shop today so I haven't had a chance to really test it out much - I'm not sure if the new layout is faster or slower but I hope it's an improvement!

    Why does Etsy only charge .20 cents for your listings? They charge me .40 cents. Is there something I need to sign up for?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +1

      Etsy's listing fee is $0.20 according to the seller handbook. If you're seeing a $0.40 listing fee in your shop payment account history you may want to reach out to Etsy support.
