I used to love yugioh as a kid. I lost interest after yugioh gx and never played until duel links came out. I realized how far behind I was in terms of the new cards and strategies, I wasn’t interested in learning all the new stuff after gx. Once master duel came out, I discovered the grave keepers deck and it really saved me. I easily go through the gold ranks. The deck stops the opponent from spending 30 minutes special summoning monsters which is the main reason I love the deck.
Man we're in the same boat when it comes to interest & history, except that i didn't even give duel links a shot. First starting out master duel was such a wall to overcome due to all the types of special summoning, etc. so my immediate reaction was like "na f that, i'll just use floodgates" xD
I remember use Alter-GK combo as long as personal spoofing on the field, manifest could bring anyone from GY back to field hard to pull out, but once you manage to pull it on 1st move... your opponent is so done
It's mean, but watching the insta scoops where the opponent realizes "oh I'm fucked", and concedes never gets old. Losing an entire hand to Royal Tribute is brutal, lmao.
I love gravekeeper’s if it means making you’re opponent rage quit or instant scoop hell yeah and the floodgates will definitely keep those meta slaves in check and make sure they’re minding their manners
love this deck, I decided to make a gravekeeper deck myself after watching this, and i've been able to lock up a good amount of people so far, but going second is so rough. would love to see an updated version of this deck. trying to figure out what I can add myself to make it better at going second, maybe just more Evenly Matched? or add Soul crossing with some way to search out one of the Egyptian gods? or more lava golem? idk
Going second, you absolutely need to run Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, and 2x Raigeki, as well as 3x Thrust. Especially since this is lockdown deck, not an OTK deck, you absoultely want DRNM, the downside doesnt affect you, you just wanna shut down their board in order to set up. You might also consider Super Poly with some targets in the ED to help break boards. I would personally suggest building this deck as a going second deck, meaning you cut the Ash Blossom entirely, and really downside your core engine into the Gravekeeper/Necrovalley lock.
Just started getting back into yugioh again and gravekeeper's was my favorite deck back in the day. Loved seeing you absolutely crush some opponents' plays. Also, what is crossout designator supposed to do?
Now that you mention it, the crossout is a tad bit redundant, yeah. I'll update this decklist soon-ish! The idea, with the current list, is to mostly counter evenly, imperm & ash. And thank you btw!
climbing in higher rank is so hard with gravekeeper. the opponent just seem to find a way to eradicate my necrovalley field spell card somehow. not sure if adding skill drain trap card could counter the effect from the opponent's monster card to not negate/remove or destroy my field spell card. my graveyard deck just get wooped to defeat when the field spell card is gone.
Skill Drain may be a nice addition as some sort of last resort. Mind you that skill drain also negates your gravekeeper fusion, which protects your field spell, which is why I would only use it as a last resort. Although necrovalley + skill drain alone may win you the game. Unfortunately there is no way to search for skill drain & it's limited :(
@@HeyIamPaddy hey there. That is true. What about soul drain? Necrovalley doesn’t stop the effect to continue trigger in graveyard, but soul drain could?
Hmm yeah that could definitely work. Although it usually isn't effects that resolve in the graveyard that get rid of your necrovalley, right? What do you think are the most problematic cards? For me it was definitely Fenrir, while he was semi-limited, which shouldn't be a problem anymore. For destruction protection you still have your fusion
@@HeyIamPaddy I’m not really sure. It’s happening too fast that I gave up starring the screen since the opponent just loves to humiliate with summoning nonstop cards.
With this deck, yes. I was trying to be as consistently as possible. You CAN, no doubt, trade some of that consistency for some more outs when you have to go second. I might do a GK version of that as well in the future. But for now, yes this is definitely a go first deck, trying to be consistent.
Hey, since you running necrovalley temple, whats your thought on running a foolish burial goods plus exchange of spirit and gravekeepers trap? Since you can mill a necrovalley to activate it from grave by necrovalley temple, or mill exchange of spirit to fully lock grave effects by gravekeepers trap?
That sounds really interesting! Might have to explore that and test it a bit! However, I do fear that it might not be consistent enough due to foolish burial goods being limited to 1
The idea with Gravekeeper is to stop your opponents from establishing any kind of board. And yeah, I've never been to master before but these clips were recorded in diamond.

The dragonmaid player just refuses to read Necrovalley
True! Typical yugioh player xD

Yeah it truly is! HOWEVER, it's all the more sweet when you realise you're playing against Kash xD

I liked the part where your opponent couldn’t play the game the whole time.
😂

Nice, love hearing that! Yeah going second is really rough. I'd probably start by adding more evenly matched, yeah thats probably your best bet

What song was being played when you where going over the decklist?
That was "Yu-Gi-Oh - Sound Duel 2 - Duel of Friendship" :)
so basically go first or loose

@@HeyIamPaddy Thats a good point! Maybe on TCG this can be a lot more consistent! Nice video btw
Yeah, probably. Thank you very much!
Ngl this music is 🔥 🔥 🔥
I agree! :D
Ok I cannot believe you got diamond with this. Let the grave keepers rip. Also how expensive was this deck?
Not too expensive, i mean you can see it in the decklist section of the video. Only very few URs that are actually needed but quite a few SR
Also hate to be greedy but do you have the music list?
The first one is called "Dark Magician", the second one is ""Passionate Duelist" & the third one is "Duel of Friendship"!
Your going up against some weak boards, now way that deck gets passed diamond
