The 05-09 GT has the best body style for sure. They look like the original 60’s mustangs. Namely the 69 Mach 1 with the hood scoop, ring wing and 4 headlamp configuration. Even the tail lamps look original. This 2012 is faster but just got away from the original styling..especial the funky looking tail lights and the projection headlamps. The automatic tranny really ruins the experience BTW.

Great raw video review of a great car. Would be good if you could get a car like this in the UK today,but that would be a mission to try and find one. It is the LION of cars,,,strong,simple,powerful,arrogant and what you'd want to ride on the back off. I'd love to own one.
Love this review Bill ! This 2012 GT is the best looking 5.0 ever. In 1996 I bought a brand new 5 speed 1996 4.6 L which had an anemic 205 hp. Tons of Torque down low but definitely underpowered ! Now Big decision as I get closer to retirement in about 5 years is either this 2012 Mustang with a six speed manual OR a 2002-2004 C5 Corvette non-Z06 hatchback coupe With a six speed manual.!! I haven’t driven either model which I will definitely do as i get closer to retirement, but would love to hear your take on what is the best bang for the buck more exciting car to drive?!. I don’t plan on tracking either one of them. Thank you!
Completely different cars. Vette's are generally a wider car, and definitely lower. Ride is smoother and steering more precise than stang. Mustangs are marrow, easier to park, get in and out of, and sit higher. Test drive both, and see what you prefer. Both are awesome. I have a C6 Z and 13 Boss. Absolutely love both, but are very different cars. Keeping both as I like them both so much. Go stock, lo milage if you can. No drama, minimal issues. Cheers from Canada :-)
@@billmcmeekin7909 in April of this year I pulled the trigger on a 1999 C5 FRC. Didn’t want to wait until I retire, want to have it paid off before I retire. For 1999 Only about 4000 made, only 1,040 in pewter metallic 100% bone stock, exactly what I wanted. Only 18k miles when I took delivery. Replaced the accessory and AC belts, and the pulleys and tensioners. Good thing the serpentine belt had cracks. Garage kept still smells new inside. Love it.
Beautiful car; I've had one on my wish list for the longest. Problem I have is importing one into my county they'd charge me about 60% addional on the value of the car 😅
