What a wet season! Our block is absolutely soaked! It is a huge mess! We are walking ankle deep in mud! but we don't care😁

The region, known for its tropical climate, has experienced heavy rainfall and severe weather conditions over the past three months, resulting in our property and everywhere around us being a wet and muddy mess!
The Wet Season, typically occurring from November to April in Far North Queensland, is characterized by increased precipitation, high humidity, and frequent thunderstorms. However, this year's wet season has been particularly exciting and intense!
The prolonged periods of rain have had an incredible impact on the environment. The constant rain has produced stunning lush vegetation, with rivers, creeks and waterfalls flowing at full capacity.
While the increased rainfall has been beneficial for the natural environment, it has posed challenges for the local communities. The heavy downpours have caused flooding in several areas, damaging roads, disrupting transport and damaging significant infrastructure.
The Wet Season this year in Far North Queensland has showcased the power and beauty of nature while presenting challenges to local residents, tourists and businesses. Despite the disruptions caused by the heavy rainfall, the region has also benefited from the rejuvenating effects it has had on the environment. As the wet season slowly gives way to drier months our clean up will begin.
