This is fantastic work!! As an AN1x owner, I am super grateful for this and I can now stop using the original editor via a Windows VM on my Mac! THANK YOU!! 🙂 I will be featuring this on the Pro Synth Network show this Friday night @ProSynthNetwork
Love the editor, thank you so much! The AN1x just became even more legendary. This synth is special, despite the terrible UI. If you could turn it into a VST, that would be humongous!
I'm using a PLG150-AN card in my Motif ES Rack but not having any luck transmitting data to or from the synth, even though I have MIDI I/O set up correctly. IS there a walkthrough for setting this up to communicate with the PLG150-AN card available?
@@TheFinalCutBG In DAW you can record all the sounds from synth. You can assign every knob from control parameters into midi controller knob. Also in DAW you can automate those parameters and record automations. You can record midi from it or play. Basically then you could treat it like vst synth. Check for example "Ctrlr Yamaha AN200". It is free controler for Yamaha AN200 . It has vst version.
@@BadTrip69 maybe you have a point. I will look into it, but as far as I've read VST has its own graphical interface environment. Probably I'll have to rewrite the UI part from scratch :D
@@TheFinalCutBGYou don't have to use VSTGUI (if that's what you're talking about). Plugins don't really care what draws the GUI, you get a window handle and you decide how it's drawn - you can use individual OS APIs directly, or you can use one of existing graphical frameworks (JUCE, iPlug, Qt...)

This is amazing, thank you thank you thank you!
EXCELLENT!!
Fantastic work, thank you! The small inconvenience is that on WIN it does not store last selected/preferred MIDI ports and also +1 on VST.
thank you so much !
Oh. So cool! Thank You! I will test it soon!
You…are…AMAZING!
fantastic! now we need some one to create plugin versions.
Thanks for sharing your work. That must have taken quite some effort to put together. Even the sequencer is working!
IS POSIBLE TO MAP A EXTERNAL MIDI CONTROLLER LIKE Korg nanokontrol ....?? THANKS A LOT!

probably PLG150-AN has different header for SysEx messages. Since the headers are hardcoded in the software, they work only with AN1x.
Just now find someone to make port into VST plugin. Is it possible?
It surely is possible, but I don't see much benefit. It is an app that controls the hardware synthesizer. It has nothing to do with DAWs
