i think a trigger warning or something in the beginning of the video to make it very clear that the book is not for children would be helpful if they still watch it then that's not your fault i'm sure the situation is very frustrating for you, wishing you the best!
It's not your fault, nor your responsibility. When I was a kid, I was reading many books that in retrospective where probably too heavy for my age (although i feel like I learned a lot of empathy from it), but the truth is, kids will find a way to access whatever content they want to consume. The only way to protect them is by educating them, about the dangers of the world, sociopolitics, discrimination, mental health, how to express their emotions, etc... Teaching them about these topics and their parents/teachers creating a bond of trust and good communication, so they will ask for help if they get in trouble, that's the only way to protect them. Because children are smart and perceptive, if they have information and are taught morals, then they will stay away from danger, make better choices, or be able to open up if something bad happens. Ignorance, being overly-protective or overly-secretive, negligence, agression, dogmatic ideas, these are things that put minors in more vulnerable situations. As a minor, I never tried any drugs, never did anything too reckless, for example... And it wasn't due to me not knowing anything or not having the opportunities, I just was well aware of the risks (and a nerdy goody two shoes, I admit). Anyways, to answer your question, I think all you can do is add an honest warning about "this story/book is not for children, it's intended to be read by an adult audience"... Now, people are lazy and don't always read the video descriptions, so maybe you can add the warning written at the start of your videos too, or in [...] the video name. Maybe you can add a brief explanation of "why" is it age restricted, like the genre or topics or triggers of the story, so people can have an idea of why "maybe this is not something I would enjoy/understand". Very simple trigger descriptions, don't make it sound "mysterious/cool" or else they will get more curious.
You're not being silly at all. What you're saying is completely normal and understandable. First of all, I don't think it's the kids' that watch your video fault, their parents should stop them from watching especially at such a young age. But even kids could put a fake dob so I don't think it's an easy thing to avoid. And putting an age restriction is not guaranteed to keep the kids away. It'd suggest putting a warning in the beginning of your videos and if it keep on going then put an age restriction. I know that your videos won't get as mush promo as they would normally but it'd be worth a try. Thank you for speaking up about this, I hope everything goes well!
Thank you, yeah I don't want it to make it seem like I'm blaming the kids, they are just kids. I just want to protect them. It sure isn't an easy situation that's for sure, I'll definitely consider the trigger warning. Maybe put it in a pinned comment too. Thank you ❤
this must be so frustrating!! TT maybe put a trigger warning in the beginning? or something that warns kids to not watch it or that it has scary content that is not for their ages? but the problem is that they still watch ! it's not your fault , you are not doing anything bad ~ if this continues, put the age-restriction maybe. it's your dream, don't let anything stops you ^^
This problem happens a lot with a fandom I’m in. I would have to say what other comments say which is give warnings in the description and the video. Beyond that this is the internet and if kids roaming it unsupervised that’s not your fault :(
Never be sorry for ranting or for feeling the way you do, everything you feel is completely valid and you’re not silly at all! I believe a trigger warning or disclaimer for the audience in the beginning would be helpful to potentially keep away these young viewers who are watching and disliking because the content could be scary to them. It’s not fair to you and I think this is the easiest option to do. Also, don’t be afraid to upload random rants or random videos where you just wanna speak what’s on your mind, that’s what we’re all here for, to listen and to watch and perhaps give our own thoughts and relate to you :) thank you for everything, Tina 💜
I think it's not your responsibility and there is no way for you to prevent children from watching whatever they want to watch if their parents don't do their job. I see no point in putting on an age restriction, we don't know what age those children put on their account. Maybe just don't do anything, and if they are afraid or don't like it, they'll not watch next chapters. You are not doing anything wrong! You are so kind and considerate of others, I hope your experience with your book will bring you only the most positive emotions! BTW, I love all of your videos, but especially the ones in which you just talk, they are wonderful, and you are wonderful, please, don't feel bad about this situation ⭐⭐⭐
Thank you, you're so sweet. 😊 Yes I should definitely do more of these, just sit down and talk or do random stuff. I really enjoy making them as well. 🙂
@@TinaDavidsson thanks! I also want to tell you thank you because you've introduced me to a lot of kpop, I remember really enjoying your videos in which you talked about your favourite songs and groups, it made me really interested in those artists. It's always great to listen to a person who is passionate about what she is talking about) and the videos from your travelling were wonderful! That's also one of the reasons why I really like your book, even though I've just started listening to it, it's great that you are so passionate about your characters and the world you've created, it makes listening to it even better, (although the premise of your story is already super captivating on it's own)) So thank you-thank you-thank you! You and your channel brighten my days)
Don't be sad for hate comments and dislikes. Just love yourself and be relax about that. You are so cute and I know your followers love you 🥰🥰💗💗💗 Don't be sad cutie. Your videos are great. They don't have any problems. So if someone is agree me like 👍 ♡♡♡ 👇💗
I think a trigger warning, Parent guidance is advised or something like that at the beginning of the video should help. It should help. If it doesn't help then maybe age restrict it? I hope this helped.
I think the only thing you could try is putting out a content warning before each episode.. Please don't let it get you down.. you aren't responsible for unerages using youtube. ☺
This sucks... it's not your fault. Try to set up a disclaimer maybe? Kids below "insert age here..." are not allowed to continue or something like that. I follow a lot of crimes account and they aren't age restricted (the irony) but they do put a little disclaimer with what's about to happen later. If that doesn't work we can keep sending ideas for you.
You’re not being silly at all. I agree with what others have said, about putting trigger warnings at the start of the videos and in the description. If you want to stop the dislikes, the feature can be switched off. I understand if you wouldn’t want to take that approach however. I’m sorry you feel this way. It’s parents responsibility to regulate their children online. Unfortunately I’ve learned time and time again that they just don’t do that.
It's not your job to protect them. They bypassed the age restrictions you have no control over it, it's not your fault. Just do you! Live your dreams. It will help tho if you put trigger warnings like what others have been saying. Or create a new channel for your stories so it won't affect this channel's metrics or something?
yea, it's the parents fault, not yours ): i think you should put a warning (before you say "ready?", something like "caution: this videos contain _. ready?") & a +13 icon on the edge of the video...
Yeah a trigger warning does seem to be a good solution. I actually thought about the small ikon marking the age in the corner as well! Thank you for the tips. 🥰

Yeah some way of making sure that they atleast understand that this is not meant for such a young audience, it sure is a tricky situation. Thank you ❤
@@TinaDavidsson , yes!! so like that they get a warning!! and you're welcome ^^ ❤❤❤❤

One question; will you not do any album unboxings anymore ?
I never stopped doing them, I'm just focusing on BTS when it comes to unboxings.

Maybe you could make a little disclaimer at beggining of each video and that way you warn them before watching
