Hello! This an interview based channel and I plan to keep it that way. This video is a one off as I feel particularly reflective here on NYE. Secondly, I'm aware I look awful. I decided I was going to do this video on the way home from work. I got in, put on my pajamas jumper as it was a little chilly. I could have spent half an hour dressing myself up but I didn't want what was on my mind to wait. Anyway, lots of love to you all and look after yourselves X
Great video Kate. I'm travelling To Hong Kong next week having lived and taught in Vietnam and Korea. It would be great to chat next week if you have time for a coffee or night market etc. I have a small channel and feel free to comment here or there
I really don't think anyone cares what you're wearing. I applaud your insight, honesty, and bravery for addressing our bleak prospects (in both your "venting" and your relocation). Best wishes for 2025, and for your future.

I'm Danish and have been working in London for the past five months (with one month left until I return to Denmark), and the experience has rocked me to the core. In response, I've decided to devote my life to ensuring Denmark's security and continued reliance on law and order, so that the chaos I've witnessed on the other side of the North Sea does not spread to Danish borders. *Good luck Britannia!*
They all learn the English language abroad giving them a key to the Uk, it’s your languages that stop a huge amount visiting and moving to yours, just like Japan, it’s the language barrier that’s stops a lot.
When a CEO starts selling their own company shares it's a warning sign. The UK has been selling its assets to foreign investors for years. The ship is almost sunk.
My 50-something Brit friends visited us in the US for the first time ever and it was interesting to see their apprehension about our country fade completely away over the first few days and then turn into absolute regret at having to go back home. Their mood about their country has really soured over the dozen years we've known them. It's very sad to hear what they say.
I'm not sure if living under a system where you have to buy insulin is much better lol. It's crap here in the UK, but at least I'm guaranteed not to die of an entirely manageable genetic condition because I can't fucking pay.
Yep, there's lot of made up nonsense here in the UK and across continental Europe to make ourselves feel better about how much better the US is than we are (due to our own choices). "oh you'll get shot in a mass shooting if you go there" "everyone is fat there" etc etc. But it's a simple fact that ordinary working class Americans in most of the country can afford a small house and a couple of cars, while in the UK that's now beyond the reach of most middle class people. People who actually go there realize just how poor the UK has actually become relative to America.
I've noticed a lot of Brits don't seem to understand that the US is a VERY LARGE country They see stories about violence in (mainly Democrat-run) cities and think it's a national problem Lots of nice places and people in the US

What you describe is very similar to the situation here in Sweden. Nobody wants to have children anymore. It is impossible to live a normal life without loans and credits. The gaps are increasing dramatically, at the same rate as taxes and fees.
We imported too many people and now there are many neighborhoods you can't go to. Remains unclear if the country is salvageable. My brother studied in Stockholm and said it's way worse than you think 😥
Welcome to the 4th Reich's (readL European Union) sustainablity goals, globalisation and climate socialism folks, it only gets worse from here. this is exactly what the political right, populist and libertarian's have been warning about for about 20 years..
@@yezih2694 You make some really solid points, and they hit hard. A big part of the problem is this widening wealth gap-older generations had tangible goals like buying a home or building a career, while today’s generation feels locked out of that reality. Everything’s so asset-driven now that if you’re not already in the game, it feels impossible to catch up. The lack of meaningful milestones to work toward leaves a lot of people stuck in this loop of disillusionment. And you’re right: unless there’s a major shift-whether through innovation or redistributing wealth-things will just keep spiraling. Thanks for laying it all out so clearly; it’s a perspective more people need to hear
This is heartbreaking, but also incredibly lucid! It's so rare to hear someone speak in such raw terms about the state of a country in decline. Thank you, and let's hope for and act towards change. Not just in the UK, but everywhere.
"Not just in the UK, but everywhere." - Indeed. It's striking to read similar accounts here in the comments from people in other countries. I see this happening in America as well. I'm 66, retired and childless, but I fear for my young nieces and nephews and the increasingly limited opportunities they have available to build good lives for themselves. For too long, hey have all had to depend on their parents simply to tread water, much less get ahead, and it's not because any of them are lacking in intelligence or ambition. If our elites in government and business don't start acting responsibly very soon, there's going to be hell to pay. It seems that nearly all the levers of wealth and power have been captured by people who care very little for the citizens of their nations, if at all.
Saw this coming 25 years ago. Spoke out. Got called a racist. Watched people fall for the same Labour / Tory nonsense over and over again. Spoke out. Got called a racist. Gave up. Now I am just watching the entire country rapidly self destruct. It's game over now. Did what I could.

I live in Scotland. My whole life I've watched my mum's health slowly declining due to various issues. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, which killed her a day before my birthday. She died before she could claim her pension. I had to live with her to ensure she could live comfortably in a pleasant, otherwise she'd have to work herself to the bone to live in a hovel with no support. The UK is a backwater dump compared to every other developed country. As soon as I have completed my engineering courses, I'm taking my girlfriend and leaving, to never come back.

As an American, I worked for a major bank in England from 2009 - 2011. I was surprised then how low the pay was for folks not in management. Seems like it took two partners working together to live a modest lifestyle. I think the problem with the UK and other places is greed. Where the well off enjoy a real life. Oh btw, in the US a waitress with a masters finds it hard to quit their job because it pays so much more than a job requiring a masters degree. Due to the tip culture. When I tipped in the UK I always got a weird look.
@@mustbetrue1602 No this is true. If you follow up the reasoning to the next level, its quite literally impossible outside of a single handful of fields to actually get any work with a phd if you went straight for it without any work experience. Nobody wants to hire the know it all who doesn't even have experience with in the field, and they feed right back into the university. Often times a phd program is just a university training their own future employees in an uncheck intellectually incestuous way. A symptom of the same problems with universities that your comments about a masters program are.
Everyone is college educated and master degrees are a dime a dozen. SKILLS is how to make a living in the us now. My daughter had to make that very decision and has stayed tending bar after getting an advanced degree
I feel sorry for those who still think theres a difference between Labour and Conservatives in the UK... theyre simply different faces of the same beast. The fact we are locked into a 2 party system in indicative of the countries failure to make any meaningful change at the top level.
Not so much. Reform are doing well and might, just might, kick the Conservatives to the curb and causing them to cease as a party (they deserve it for what they have done to the country). Make no mistake: I'm not a Reform ra ra guy (i.e. not a political tribalist) but considering the country's disastrous direction of travel I'm probably going to give them a go as we need a different party that are not the main two and who might just actually do what they promise (you never know).
I was confused when she said "left leaning", because she complains about everything the right have been saying for years. No wonder the lefties are so confused. It's like saying you hate buses, but don't mind being run over by one 🤷♂
Absolutely. It's killing our innate sense of what we know to be right and good. The left are actually gas lighting young, vulnerable minds, encouraging them to deny the warning signals in their nervous system.
There's always this shame for anyone to admit they are on the right. But why? Standing up for country, family, tradition, religion are universal values. Wanting control on borders, less government interference & lower taxes is also hardly something to be ashamed of.
It's simple. Politicians have two jobs: 1. Keep feeding welfare to the oligarchy. 2. Agitate social division to avoid addressing the problem with the oligarchy. Everyone of them is a mindless, predictable stooge and we pay the bill. End of story.
THIS....Politicians are nothing more than propped up System Rats. They belong to The Global System...ofc many seem to think we "vote" for these clowns but that's nothing more than a SHOW and circus. Another division tactic when in reality all of them dine at the SAME TABLES, tables WE are not invited to. Their best interest is not us, their interest is whatever GAME The Global System is cooking up at the time (war, eradication of stable living, division of the common man, etc. etc.)
I'm Canadian. When I finished college in the 90's with top grades, the government announced that they were going to hire only women for the 5 next consecutive years. They destroyed the future of all the guys in the class to promote women's interest in choosing this field of work. Someone decided that women were not represented enough in that work. Women had never been discriminated against... they just were not (and still aren't) interested in studying in this field. So the whole thing was useless and artificial.
Yes and then they declared there was a lack of skilled workers, so they imported people who hate your country. At least Canada, unlike Britain has a solid chance of getting back on its feet.

Australia does the same shit. It's absolutely devastating to the populace and economy. If all this insanity ever blows over, checks and balances need to be put in place to make sure people obsessed with equality are legally barred from power. It's becoming clear as day that the people that care about equality are actually suffering from a mental illness as achieving percentages and ratio's are more important to them then people's lives or the national health and security. These people won't stop until literally every single aspect of life is perfect 50/50 in absolutely everything, a total and utter nightmare, as forcing a true 50/50 would mean the grand majority of people are being forced to live a life they don't want too.

@@kipkipper-lg9vl Indeed. Speaking of which, have you ever listened to the *1961 speech at the Willard Hotel* by the gentleman of Jewish origin, Benjamin H. Freedman? In that speech he gets into some important behind the scenes happenings of WWII that most people still aren't privy to. It's a speech I think everyone should take the time to listen to at least once. It can still be found on this platform for the time being. I'd also like to recommend *Zoomer Historian's* content on here. He came out with another good documentary some months back having to do with British veterans and their regrets in going to war just so they could see society degenerate into what it has.
I used to hear British people complain about Polish migrants, but seriously Poland is a clean, safe, Catholic, and Western country. Warsaw is miles more European than London is now.

Im Swedish and we sure have very very serious problems of our own in Sweden. But I get very sad when I see videos like this about the situation in the UK. Really heartbreaking to hear. 😢
"we sure have very very serious problems of our own in Sweden." The UK should stand as an example of how right wing policies will make things a lot worse for everyone except the super rich. The problems you have in Sweden are tiny compared with the problems people living in the UK have. Most of the problems the UK has are down to 40 years of a right wing economic and political experiment that turned out wrong. Do not copy that experiment.
While desire anticipates pleasure, hope anticipates something better than pleasure. It anticipates the good that follows struggle that precedes the good. Hope without faith is wishful thinking. Hope with faith is confident assurance. Faith is the assurance for hope. When we replace our motivation of willful self-gratification with willing faith, the soul aquires something better than getting what it wants when it wants how it wants. The soul acquires God's grace to finish to its good end despite the exertions or struggles to get there. God's grace is sufficient was the answer to Paul's prayer. God's grace is His love. Our love without faith is passing affection. Love with faith is lasting fidelity. Hope without faith is wishful thinking. Hope with faith is confident assurance. These three are the spiritual virtues. The other virtues are edified by faith. Courage without faith is false bravado. Courage with faith is fortitude. Self-denial without faith regrets loss of pleasure or immediate gratification. Temperance with faith is a virtue waiting for something better, delayed satisfaction. Prudence without faith advises to cut your losses and give up early in the race. Prudence with faith advises to finish the race where an imperishable crown awaits surpassing your losses. While running the race, wisdom keeps you on the straight virtuous path avoiding the vices on either extreme, but the eyes of faith see the narrow gate ahead which is too far to see without them. Beyond the golden gate is more of God's charity which in the form of His grace has been moving you along already. Faith, hope, and charity make a three corded rope not easily broken, binding the soul to her first love. Faith in Christ who is faithful, hope inspired by the Spirit, and love of the Father make the trinity of the spiritual virtues.
I'm Polish dude, your age. 10 years ago I finished school and was seriously considering emmigrating to UK, like so many of my friends. It did not work out, and for some time I thought that I've lost an incredible opportunity. Fast forward 10 years, and I was able to get a loan and buy my own apartment in Poland. Most of my friends that once planned to live their days in UK are back. Apparently We Poles were a nice scapegoat for a portion of british society, so majority of us are either back or planning to go back.
Eastern Europeans may have at one point caught some flack but generally, you are all known to be incredibly hard working and wanting to contribute. It is not European immigration that has destroyed Britain but rather ROW immigration.

As a Londoner, born and bred, I’ve lived here for 55 years and seen a dramatic change in the UK for the worst if I could leave, I would be on the next plane out London has become a deprived place under Sadik Khan. There’s hardly any Londoners left. It’s all foreigners in this country now.
Sadiq is a pajeet. All these immigrants are ruining your country, and mine, too. Stay safe. I've lived in the US for 67 years, and I see how things are getting worse and worse.
Another Brexit voter? You wanted less immigration and got more and now sore about it? The reality is only more immigration can reduce the taxes you complain about. Your NHS is utterly dependent on MORE immigration for survival and if you want to reduce taxes you will have to IMPORT millions more and now because of your precious BREXIT those immigrants will no longer be EU citizens.
Uhm… she wants the gov to interfere more with mental health. You know this means more taxes, more spending and indeed more mind control. More obligations to avoid “hate speech” and negative opinions. The contradictions are strong in this one.
The problem lies with the people setting the prices (it's not the "market"), not an all controlling government. Stop making housing an investment. Inmigrants are a symptom of the issue, not a source.

Hi Kate. I feel your pain and totally resonate with your reflections. I'm Scottish. Got out of Scotland many years ago, as I could see the writing on the wall. I now live in NZ, which is nice, at least it has good weather, but like all other countries, it does have its problems. It sounds conspiratorial, but I am firmly of the view that it is all by design, as we are nudged step by step towards a global totalitarian technocracy. I wish you well.
I’m Scottish too but live in Australia. Every country is having similar issues with some worse than others and Oz is no different. However, my cousin has just returned to Oz after 10 years in NZ. And he tells me that things are well and truly in the toilet there and much worse in NZ than they are in Oz. It has become extremely woke and the economy is on the brink. ☹❤
I've just found out that I'm half Scottish, half German and a little bit of a few other things. My ansestors got out 7 generations ago. I'm getting itchy feet about living in Australia 🇦🇺 it's getting weird here, it's not the country I grew up in. We moan and groan about and hate newcomers coming in to take up space, take our jobs, our identity, we hate our government and their over governance of us. The police do nothing about crime and the criminals are literally the ones being protected. Its actually shit here and I hate it very much...apparently Paraguay 🇵🇾 is a very excellent country to live.
In the 1960s, when I went up to the university the UK needed 4% of its young people to obtain a degree to do the country's intellectual heavy lifting. Nowadays young people are warehoused in universities for 3 years simply to keep unemployment numbers down. No more than that. But deep down you knew that, right.
amd ironically, many of today's intellectual jobs get paid no more than non intellectual jobs. I am a Principal Scientist at a Gov establishment and get paid less than a train driver (average salary 75k). At least I didn't have to pay for my degrees in 1990! I am advising my son not to go to Uni unless it is absolutely necessary.. you end up 100k down compared to someone who enters the workplace early.
Yes, it's the same in futher education. They are just holden pens. In the past there were jobs available for school leavers if they wanted them. But not anymore.
Morning Z. I think it's worse than that. University is to mire the kids in debt before they get out of the starting gate. Their debt gets converted in city centre rent increases. The not so bright kids get effed with the car finance. Can't strike when you are buried in debt, can you? Regards.
They will be your elites, as Mexico is a European-offshoot, and you're a Mestizo (inorganic result of European elites discovering your land 500 years ago).
I am from Poland. I used to work in London for 6 months. I left UK because I was very disappointed with the many things, like: cost of renting a house, food prices, safety on the streets, bad work conditions. Your video was very interesting to watch, because I see that also people in the UK are starting to wake up. I agree with some of your observations (that situation is getting worse), but I don't agree with you on your diagnose for the cause of those problems. Politicians from all political spectrum are responsible. Immigration is just one of the problems. If you import people from a 3rd World countries (where is no democracy, no women rights) then your country is on a way to be a 3rd World country. I think that probably I could write a book on this subject, but I don't think that anyone would like to read it. I wish you good luck. :)
Yours was considered a poor country until millions of your countrymen entered from 2003 onward and siphoned Britain's wealth back to Poland. You, more than any other nation, are responsible for Britain's exit from the EU, and when you say you didn't like the UK, you should understand that it's millions of EU migrants from Eastern European nations who brought it down, not the locals. Now, you might turn around tell me you share "values" with Britons, blah, blah, blah, but you don't. You don't eat the same food, have the same traditions, or speak the same language, and you have no comprehension of Britain's past. Don't get me wrong. If a reasonable number of Poles entered, looking for a better life, that would be perfectly fine, but when MILLIONS arrived at the same time it overwhelmed an already strained system; more of you entered in just 10 years than all of Britain's traditional minorities combined! So, you'll have to forgive me if I find your comment inappropriate.
This point you make about immigration completely ignores nuance being that people who imigrate from the "third world" do not all fit into one box. Many are educated, many have similar wants and desires that fit into the general western vision of society. A meritocratic, plural, multi-faith society. There are plenty of people who have grown up with intolerant values from countries without democracy or freedom. But I can say for sure that I have known more bigoted british people who refuse to look at the reality in front of them, who put themselves and in others into a box of nationality and refuse to get along with others, simply because they belong to a different ethnicity group - compared to "third world" immigrants as you call them, who are all people with an openness to things they haven't experienced before and a willingness to do jobs for example that most british people will turn their nose up at. There are some people who emigrate to countries like the UK who won't subscribe to british culture or society. There are plenty who do so in other countries. Most go about their own lives and don't impede on anyone else's right to follow whatever cultural norms/religious practices they want.
If israel forces Europeans to accept non-European immigration by the millions........... those European nations will suffer Plain and simple Notice how Israel is calling the shots.. yet isn't multicultural Go there and you will see how they are NOT MULTICULTURAL
Although i get the idea of that, i still can't see the country being the same as regards industrial output and technological achievement, as well as maintaining the general level of civilization. The natives of the UK may well become replaced, but what sort of place will it become ?
I am a 39yo Italian man and I have to say that this video is talking for young Italians too. 11 years ago, during a broke-up, I come back to live with my father and I am still there, the reason? Despite being an Engineer and work for a degree-related job, with my salary I could only afford to rent a 1 room apartment... so I decided to give up living on my own to save money in order to buy a house one day, or just to manage my economic-related anxiety... 2 years ago I had a burnout due to the working conditions (a colleague of mine had a burnout so I had to carry on also her job for 11 weeks) and having a saving account that would have allowed me to live 2 years without a job is what kept me away from the desperation I wish you all the best
Your post is exactly why moving away is not a real solution to these issues. These issues are cropping up all over the place and it will only be solved long term by those who take the necessary and hard steps to fix it. I hope Italians sort their issues out too.
But if we do stand up and say anything, we are accused of being racist, called far right thugs, beaten and hunted down by the state's henchmen, falsely imprisoned and ultimately unalived by their protected group (the ones we cannot criticise) in said prisons! Unfortunately, I think the riots that happened in 2024 will not just continue, but get significantly worse. People's lives have not returned to normal since that mental health destroying 2 year period of sterile hell in 2020 -2021 and in Glasgow where I am, the infrastructure has just collapsed and has not recovered. It looks like a permanently abandoned building site where there are rats, potholes, lake sized puddles, marxist graffiti and litter everywhere.
Marxist graffiti. Ridiculous comment. Read some Marx and learn about his impact on history. Reversal of Thatcherism is the answer but it is the one thing that is guaranteed not to happen as Britain lurches headlong further to the right. Neoliberalism is a failed system so naturally the voters of the UK will be easily persuaded that the answer is more of it. They have been making wrong choices since 1979 as the thickest electorate this side of Russia.
Why is it so difficult for leftists to admit that they backed the wrong horse and adjust their views and support the side that they know is better for everyone? It’s truly a form of insanity.
The thing people fail to realize is that when the West falls, the world falls. There's not really anywhere you'll be able to be okay, except maybe the Føroyar or Iceland? Maybe New Zealand? But "self sustainable" first world areas like existed in the 1950s in plenty of Europe just don't exist anymore. Even remigration might be too little too late. That fixes some problems, but there are still going to be many issues even if we do that.
Hello Kate. My name is Paul, I am 46 and English. Like you, I left to find a teaching job abroad a few years after university. I spent a few years in Poland and Japan. I returned at 28 to unemployment in England, and have been here pretty much ever since. My mental health has always been bad, and I have waited 18 months more than once for a phone call where a woman basically told me they had no help to offer. I live in pretty much complete social isolation with no hope of employment or a relationship. You are right to leave, and I would suggest to you that you never make plans to return and look for better opportunities abroad. Over my life time I have seen the complete transformation of England from high-trust to low-trust and there is no going back. Britain has become a back breaking burden to its people, and the elites have decided to import replacements rather than fix the system. Make your life abroad, find a good man, and never look back.
You are still so young! You can still have hope. USA will be making some changes as we are important to each other. Most people are struggling and lonely all over the world. Look into AI chatGpt to write a book about it, so many people would be feeling the same they would want to listen to an audiobook about your life experience. YT videos teach you how for free. Well idk it might get millions of people at this point. Look forward and have a Happy New Year for real!
Britain is going down the shitter very rapidly, I reckon next year the place will collapse and we will have to start again, economically we cannot take more government spending into oblivion on things like wars and it will lead to currency collapse.
I have just turned 30 and still live at home and work as a customer assistant for a hospitality firm that I've worked for for ten years now. The management and fellow staff have always been good to me, and im well respected, but I know i need to think about my future and where i could be in ten or twenty years' time. This video has got me thinking about what the future has for me in relation to where this country is going and could potentially end up.
I'm in the same boat, living at home, I have a degree, working hospitality: Teaching was my planned fallout career but people are leaving the profession in droves so I'm thinking twice. 😅 Genuinely thinking of taking a job abroad teaching, I genuinely love my country and community, but between the economy, points made in the above video and prolific anti-white attitudes I've been experiencing of late (not that we are free to talk about it) it's been harder to justify staying - my only solace is that home life means I can save/invest and socialise even on my low wage, plus my rent goes towards building a family home.
Sorry to say that in a few years, you’ll look back at today as “the good old days”. The direction is down. Intentionally. It’s by careful, intensely cruel design.

The part where you talk about mental health resonates with me, I've trained to be a counselor because I had my own mental health issues, they were a problem and caused me to drop out of university, I never got the help needed so I wanted to become part of the change and help as many people to not feel the way I did, and by training and learning to be a counselor that helped me more than receiving it. Problem is, I'm now looking for jobs and there's almost none available and I can't even do what I want now to try help! It's like zero hour contracts or such a low wage that I cannot afford to relocate for the job in the first place. I would have to set up my own private practice, which means having the money to buy a place and have that space for face to face counseling, I'd have to set up and pay for advertising myself etc also. I really hope I can help others eventually and the jobs will be available, why are they not available when the waiting lists are so long? Something is going wrong.
Thank you for sharing this - my story: I left the UK when I graduated in 2012 and moved to Australia. Four years later I had paid off my student debts. Today I have a fully paid off house, wife, kids, the works. I took a gamble and got lucky, and I am thankful every day that it worked out, even though Australia has problems. When I go back to visit my sisters in the UK - it feels as though the whole country has depression. I find it difficult to be there. It's older, it's sadder and it makes me sad being there. I have less and less in common with them. It's not just that things have changed; the people seem miserable, and it's like they have this callous edge about them that I don't remember. People are cold and sometimes nasty. It didn't used to be like that, it's not the country I remember. It's not like that where I live now. Something is deeply deeply wrong in the UK. I do agree, people should leave if they can
If I were from the UK, I would do whatever I could to move to Australia or NZ. It's a similar culture, and better in every way. Europe is not the place to be anymore.
I can hear your anger and sadness; your stress is showing in your face.. I wish you health, strength and prosperity in 2025. I am an older man, and all I can say to you from my experience is that I think you are doing the right thing. The best favour you can do your mother, sister and yourself is to put all your energy into making a career you value. I'm in Ireland, and cannot comment on GB. We too have some of the problems you articulate. You are an excellent communicator and you have a winning attitude in that you search for, and find, the positive in your position. None of what has happened to you is your fault. Society is at a stage whrere a big societal shift is happening. Money is being sucked out of all economies and into the pockets of the very rich. It will change. Because it is unsustainable. But the change will be very uncomfortable for many. Do your best for you, and godspeed.
Its like this in Canada . The housing is out of reality . Food prices are through the roof. Along with millions of homeless. Along with drug addicts .It's like this everywhere.
Yes. I went to Canada last year. You can see a change in direction. I suspect the Canadian government have Globalist ties. The policies being mandated is an indication.

The UK was doomed when Tony Blair decided the British people didn't have a forthright to their own country. Wages have remained stagnant since businesses have access to unlimited cheap labour. Years ago my work was considered well above minimum wage worthy, I'm now 50p better of than a job that requires no thought of responsibility. All parties since Blair have followed the exact same method of governance, more debt, more immigrants, more taxes, less freedoms, less justice, less services, more authoritarian rules. I've lived under all three parties in charge and not a single thing has changed for the better, we are still living in the Blairite era. The UK is fucked, a crash followed by decades of recession is assured. However unlike the past when the people pulled together, we now have a fractured multicultural society of different ethnic groups who largely hate each other. When food becomes harder to come by, this facade of multiculturalism will crumble and we will have mass violence and ethnic cleansing. Things are even that had yet and we have Muslims protesting UK cultures & customs, rape gangs targeting children, and mass gang violence in our major cities. When people get hungry expect this to kick off.
When Tony Blair was in charge the UK was booming. The last 15 years the country has been destroyed the Tories ruined us and gave our money to their donor friends.
Yep, it's the same reason why many businesses now hire multi-ethnic workforces. They're less likely to work together, unionize and demand better rights and benefits for themselves.
Which of the UKs cultures and customs have Muslims been protesting? Rather than multiculturalism being the issue, I think it's that some people see multiculturalism as an issue and others disagree. Much the same as that we can't agree on whether countries like Sweden, Denmark and Norway has socialist policies.
Good luck for 2025 - my simple advice for young people is to keep their health up both physically and mentally and to be open / ready for opportunities that do arise. A little nature each day can be the difference between a positive and negative outlook.
Amen to that. You can't fix the world, if you're a broken person. Change comes from within and better reality will come about from bottom up, not top down. People lived through actually difficult times, like I don't know, World Wars? This weak mentality of being unable to overcome difficulties and looking for solutions from government, is what created current reality.
Great advice. Also start saving money, even if 5 pounds a week or a month. Curating a little nest egg. Look around for the best rate of interest, watch it online. It can become a satisfying little hobby. It's not saving "for" something. It's saving to give you a secret support that will be there if you really need it, throughout your life. It can change your whole attitude to one of being in control.
@@MisTomis So can you explain why right wingers (capitalists) openly condone poverty? They're the ones who justify keeping people poor if they aren't skilled enough or have jobs that aren't considered important enough to the market. It's inherent to their ideology and policies. They're also the ones who cut support for disabled people.
This is a very brave video to make and as you said in your closing statement, the more people the talk about it the more people will recognise the truth of the matter and we might get some change. Here’s to 2025 🎉
My son finds the UK much more livable than France. I think he sees this country with rose-coloured glasses . " When I get out of the Eurostar in St Pancras I feel I m back in a civilized country" he told me 😂
You are sadly describing the way life is in all parts of the world, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The 1% will never care about what you are saying.
Recent Trends in Wealth in the UK Wealth Concentration: Over recent years, wealth has increasingly concentrated among the top earners. This is a global trend, but the UK is no exception. Certain individuals and families in industries like finance, technology, and real estate have seen substantial gains. Examples of Individuals Getting Richer: Rishi Sunak (before entering politics): Co-founder of a hedge fund, he accrued significant wealth from finance. James Dyson: The inventor and businessman continues to grow his fortune through Dyson products. Real Estate Tycoons: Many property developers and landlords have benefited from rising property prices. Quantitative Data: While exact recent figures for individuals aren't always publicly available, UK billionaires like those on the Sunday Times Rich List have seen their net worth increase substantially over the past decade. People Complaining About Getting Poorer Cost of Living Crisis: Rising energy bills, inflation, and stagnating wages have led to financial strain for many households. Wage Stagnation: Real wages (adjusted for inflation) have struggled to keep pace with the cost of living, particularly for lower and middle-income earners. Impacts of Brexit: Many attribute economic challenges to the effects of Brexit, including labor shortages and supply chain disruptions. Austerity Policies: Reductions in public spending over the last decade have disproportionately affected lower-income households.
That was the one of major difference of the American Revolution is that a lot of the wealthy founders gave their respective lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to achieve freedom/liberty.
I have been watching thousands of videos now of British people who moved and are moving to my country - Bulgaria.Old, young, single, families with kids.I couldnt ask why as I feel it's not my place but I start realizing why now. I dont know what to tell you..... I feel for you.I will pray for you.
Bless you! I am a 60 year old man who was born and bred on Scotland. I left the UK in 1989. I came back for a few years in the 2000's but ultimately I chose to leave in 2013 because realised that the government did not care about me. I have lived in Asia for the last 12 years and have been happier than I've ever been. I didn't abandon my country, my country abandoned me. I watched my mother (now passed) stripped of all the things that gave her life purpose after 2008 as the local council took everything away from her until she became a vegetable in front of a daytime TV show. Stay over here, it's a better life.
Here in Sweden if you have a low pension you are forced to stay in Sweden. You are not even allowed - by law - to move to a different EU country. So many people who did not work enough to get an average pension is stuck. A Swedish woman moved to Asia and they forced her to move back to Sweden because of this.
Because there is one good thing about socialism, and that’s when you lose your job, or get sick, you have chance. To get back. Everything else kind of sucks, taxes are wasted, and politicians think they are billionaires as money is circulation. It goes from the private sector to the public sector. Driving up cost and killing industry. I consider myself purple for a while. No particular party to vote for, all bad options.
We're almost at a point were the majority is fed up and uncomfortable. Once we reach critical mass things will finally change. Buckle up, things are going to get real bad before it gets any better
I moved to Thailand 18 years ago, I did a degree in Bangkok (was cheap, easy and fun) then worked as a teacher then in mass recruitment, it's very doable. My earnings are around 1500 pounds a month, I don't pay any tax, my apartment costs 200 pounds a month, electric 50 pounds a month, water bill 4 pounds a month. I save around 500 pounds a month and have a good life and no depression with all the sunshine, legal cannabis and mushrooms.

Wut?! 😱 Yes, what most of these COVID wise people are failing to mention (when did they actually wise up? 🤔🤨) is how terrible so many of the so-called 'pastures green' were in 2020 - 2022 compared to the UK: Australia and NZ went full police state (frighting!) and Canada wasn't much better. The Continent was on a parr with the UK or worse. Even Ireland had more police checkpoints. Only Sweden and certain US States were significantly better than the UK. BTW unless ALL those who say they won't follow the 'guidelines' next time keep their promises (not holding my breath TBH 🫤) it'll be worse all over come the bird flu'. 🤷🫤 Regards, A COVID dissenter since April, 2020. PS I don't fancy being in HK for the bird flu' seeing as how draconian mainland China was. 😬 PPS I'm not saying the UK is going to be better than most places for the bird flu' (it might even be significantly worse) but if you're British it's your country and therefore you have more rights (and obligations? 🤔) to protest and just say "no" than you do in a country in which you are only a guest and are worried about being deported etc. 🤷
That law is okay but we need to address these Countries over population - why is it that Japan and Sweden and even Cuba ! basically have two children and a family of four ? This old canard that 'they can't help it !" is BS - they unload their 3rd 4th 5th born on Britain Europe of the US to pay for it
Not really, they have left in lots of leeway for it to continue, such as medical related exemptions, that doesn't make sense but its there and will be used, similar laws exist in Belgium and France yet nothing changed.
All these problems are by design. The depopulation of earth is real and the data shows that since covid the birth rates have dramatically declined. How could you give birth to a child when you have nowhere to live? How could you date when feminism teaches you to divorce so you can get half of his stuff? How can you care for a family when you are bombarded with dating apps, temptations and incentives to split? How can you buy a house when the house is on average over 300k but your salary may not even be 30k per year. In the UK life is still good, other countries get it even worse. As a person that has already left 2 countries, all I can say is that you can go anywhere and still see that the grass is greener somewhere else. but is it greener? I found it better in the UK than my own country, or Spain. The politics are not for the people anymore. They are puppets that are put in place by other forces to extract everything from you and into those force`s funnels. You can`t get ahead, because the political class has made it so. Democracy now only exists in our dreams. Look at our PM. He is the most hated man on the planet, he sent an order of respect when people made a petition to take him down. Does nothing about crime, illegals, loves davos, the no border experiment... He is not for the British, just like Macron is not for the french or Trudeau is not for the Canadians. The elites are doing this to the entire human race, the only way forward is without them.
We now know that the average immigrant to the UK costs the country - NOT MAKES - hundreds of thousands of pounds over a lifetime. Add in the terrible change that mass immigration has made to our society and the truth is damning... people are seeing this and they are VERY angry.
Every human costs money, no matter if you are an immigrant or not. Also going to school, to learn a language and learn to read, etc...costs money, simply because someone needs to teach you the basics and wants payment for that. It's all part of the process.
@@maxlunatic6545 they are all the same your vote doesnt matter its all an illusion to make you feel as if you are in control, look whats happened to the entire of europe this mass immigration was planned and is being executed and theres nothing you can do about it
@@MirellaDerks You deliberately ignore the fact that from the OBR here in the UK and from the Danish government we now KNOW that unskilled mass migrants cost vastly more than native people. Ouch! I grew up in a Welsh seaside town in the 70s. I really loved that place. It doesn't exist anymore except in a few peoples memories. The slow death of Britain has been horrifying to watch. Great video.
@@goldbrick2563it was and it wasnt. I think industry was disappearing but there had been lots of improvement in house hold conveniences. I was born in the 70s and my dad, only a generation before, had an outside loo and they bathed in a tin bath in front of the only heat source in the house. They weren't poor either, compared to some people. I think people are good at handling tough times, the difference between then and now is the erosion of our cultural identity and community. I know it wasnt much of one and mainly revolved around drinking and football but it was something. More importantly, our ability to joke about things has been stripped away and I think that was a key element helping us to cope with living on such a dreary island. I'm not a nationalist personally and a bit if an introvert. The thought of going down the pub to watch the football and banter, seems painful to me. But. This ain't about me, and I don't think its healthy for the country to emulate the way I live. Theres plenty of other reasons; our adoption of consumerism over everything attitude etc. It all adds up to an overall identity crisis. Maybe it's time to create a new one.
@ Yes it was but we aren’t talking about monetary wealth as such. There is more to what has gone from people’s lives than just money and I personally believe at greater cost.
In the late 1970s when I was in my mid-teens, my father was advised by someone who, shall we say, had pretty high security clearance with the government. He said in the next decades there will be a massive social engineering experiment in the UK and it was going to be no place to bring up his son. So I've watched what's happened across the pond in the decades since. He was right, and I'm so grateful we got out. So this decline has been a long time in the making. Somebody obviously has a plan but for the life of me I can't figure it out beyond the obvious globalist goals. Maybe it's no more complicated than that, but I strongly suspect that "something is rotten in Denmark." Something darkly Orwellian.
Agree. A couple of years ago I had a conversation with a 'source' who had security access at the top level in the UK who told me we are deliberately kept at a hair's breadth from anarchy - a finely tuned exercise in keeping the masses on a knife edge of fear (control) and reacting with 'nothing to lose' (no control). I am glad to be wise to it but it's incredibly difficult to live alongside day to day, it is a relief to escape to the mountains regularly where the natural order of things remains unchanged.
the uk is indeed a human experiment, bet you don't know why though! anglo saxons are being genocided, there are hardly any anglo saxons in England anymore, the irish are not anglo saxon.
No such comment was made about a social engineering experiment because that is a conspiracy theory that is false and was not even being entertained by anyone in the late seventies. Stop talking nonsense.
I won't say too much other than this is a Globalist run worldwide plan with the goal of a one world totalitarian government. The "West" is being brought down to the level of the third world so there is no strong & cohesive country to resist. Most people are working for this establishment whether they know it or not. They're genocidal maniacs at the top of the establishment order. I can't describe how evil they are.
I left UK in 1990. UK economy has never got better ever since. People in the UK work to pay tax. But now they are suffering from the mistake of the government. Sad.
If I were a young person in the the UK, I would also move. The current government is in the process of dismantling your culture, economy and freedom of expression. This left socialist ideology we are experiencing is debilitating and counteractive to any young person's ambitions.
4:14 - I grew up as a criminal on the outskirts of Manchester during the 1980s. We used to rob for food as kids, and then got involved in the drugs trade during my teens. I'm in my 40s now. One of the best pieces of advice I was given around that time was actually by a drug supplier; words I occasionally think of around the topic of making money. We were discussing the distinction of those who profit, and those who often lose money and go into hiding. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, "If the money isn't yours, don't spend it." - this quote has stayed with me my whole life. I got out without owing anyone a single penny. I've never taken out a loan, never applied for credit, and only ever paid by cash, cheques or debit cards. So when I hear people like yourself feeling manipulated into taking on massive amounts of debt at a young age, I find it pretty enraging TBH. Our government should never have pushed a lifestyle of debt onto anyone.
in my time in a similar line of work the amount of people "buying" and "selling" on 'tick' was ludicrous. i paid all my suppliers in cash and all my buyers were told to piss right off if they didn't have cash on hand. eventually you realize that this is a microcosm of the economy at large. the primary engine of the british economy is debt and finance. all the clowns in this comment section saying "i make 50+k and even i can't get by" are probably creaking with debt. it's so normalized that if you so much as question the practice you're considered a lunatic.
@@josemengelez6947 refreshing to see someone mention this, this with many other factor. The system that if you rent you'll probably never afford to retire.
I agree. I did uni but never earned enough so repayments were never deducted from me. I rent. Don't do credit. The only thing I own is the contents of my home (which are replaceable). In some peoples eyes I am poor as I OWN NOTHING. In my world I OWE NOTHING, I am tied to NO bank, NO mortgage, NO contracts and all the trappings people fall for. I am as free as I can be and if the lottery god smiled on me I could pack up in an hour and be off without looking back.
it's got to be balanced. I took out a student loan and paid it off in 10 years as planned without excess stress to myself. I didn't get a graduate job but I was able to earn more than minimum wage always. I got sick and now I claim disability and still try to work. When I got sick, I claimed sickness benefits. I'm currently paying into 3 pensions, State National Insurance pension, Mandatory pension and private employer pension. Because I pay into these pensions, I pay zero tax. That money is invested into the government treasury, my own financial security and the economy. Now they are complaining there are more deaths than births..it's because they made it a hostile environment to have children in. Children are not born in a war zone because it's unstable. Children will not be born to parents drowning in debt in a bedsit on minimum wage with poor mental health because it's unstable. While people squabble about benefits and immigrants......the real ( greedy) culprits escape judgment.
We need to accept the fact that this is what we voted for. Left wing politics and thinking is what has caused ALL of this. The minute we can admit that is the same minute that we can start making change.
We've had 40 years of right wing economics though since Thatcher?! Selling the crown jewels (national infrastructure & industries) and not replacing them led to this. Not lefties.
If you look at history and what government's did you can see why the UK is where it's at . the last 25 year the UK has drastically gone down hill and all by design . All on purpose.

The UK has imported so many people from South Asia that it's starting to become like South Asia. Who could have seen that coming? Personally when I painted my bedroom with green paint I expected it to turn out purple 🙄
I emigrated in 2009, and I feel like I dodged a bullet. It's been very sad to witness the decline of the UK from afar. Whenever I visit, everyone seems so downtrodden and hopeless. Even my friends who have good careers; an engineer, a lawyer, and a physical therapist, seem to be struggling to get by. I love seeing my family and friends, but I feel relieved when I'm back on the plane home.
@dingalingalong America. I've been here 15 years now, and the grass is definitely greener here as far as I'm concerned. Wonderful place for my daughter to grow up.
I'm Australian and work with many UK expats who have recently moved here. The story you tell is unfortunately so common and true. I'm worried Australia is on the same trajectory, we are just a few years behind. Hope things improve for our UK siblings.
Eventually you will be fed up enough to reject anything “left”. There is something called compassionate conservatism. It is possible to help those that truly need help without sacrificing those that can help.
Yep, this is the balance we need. There's a reason for example, that sending troubled children to traditional private boarding schools (Thatcher's assisted places scheme) did far more to help them than the latest trendy "child centric care" that left wing academics came up with from the 60s onwards. I'd be happy to see unemployment benefits double or tripled (something "left wing") but only if it was combined with a requirement that all out of work people did 8 hours a day 5 days a week of public service, planting trees, picking up garbage, cleaning graffiti etc ("right wing") - it would be good for the people (they'd get into the habits of work, which are the most important thing to not getting stuck on benefits, they'd have decent resources so they wouldn't be in poverty, and they'd be incentivized to find a real job quickly. the trouble is that often neither side want balanced policies like this, the "non compassionate conservatives just say "that's a waste of money", and the left says "that authoritarian, you should just give them the money".
Can't you steal a loaf of bread or burgle some posh residence to have your day in the Old Bailey and get yourself deported on a convict ship to Australia?
It's a wrench. Especially if you go to a non English speaking country with a different alphabet. But it can be done. If you are single and have no kids in tow. I left the UK after I turned 50. I'm surviving in Corfu, Greece. It's not easy. Money is poor, and it's difficult to get good money jobs unless you can speak Greek. But I can survive. The weather is better and the youth are brought up to be more respectful. So that feeling of being threatened by a mob of teenagers when walking through town at night just doesn't exist here. This is the reason why ill never be left leaning. It always leads towards economic catastrophe. Secure borders cultural cohesion leads to a stable economy. MAGA.
Just under 40,000 crossed the Channel in the last year, a miniscule number compared to the number of legal immigrants required for the economy due to Brexit. Remember the lies about taking back control of borders ( which Britain had anyway) and reducing immigration by leaving the EU? Immigration has increased to record highs due to the disaster of Brexit. Half of those who crossed the Channel will have been deported as half of all asylum claims are rejected. It is a distraction from Tory failure.

@randybackgammon890 millionaires are leaving the UK as they are. Imagine making some money and having to pay a quarter of that in taxes. This is the problem as the more you make the more you are taxed in the UK. It is very disincentivizing.
My heart breaks for your sister and those like her. Here in NL we also have a housing crisis - yet we still need to make place for asylum seekers. They get everything paid for, a nice flat, accommodation, money every month, food, support etc etc... Yet people in need, OUR OWN PEOPLE are barely able to get by. It blows my mind we are doing this to ourselves. I have empathy for those fleeing wars but we cannot change the world, we need to stop being naive. There are tens, hundreds of millions of people that would want to live in europe/uk yet this is simply not possible. I genuinely think we need to focus on bettering our own countries and people first now before helping others. There are areas in NL where there is also zero integration. They don't speak the language, have no skills, have massive families with many not working - in other words a drain on society. It is sad to watch to be honest, every year our taxes increase to fund this.
I've cancelled my work place pension because I was having £100 taken off me every month. As well as £100 taken off me in student loan repayment. So £200 I can't afford to lose. As well as being stupidly taxed with national insurance on top of that. I have never had a graduate job. Been working 60 hours a week as a health care assistant. I earn a month nearly 4k before tax. After tax I am broke by the 2nd of the month. I will never have my own home, I can't afford to have children. My hopes and dreams have been crushed. I now have to be content with just existing at this point. No point having that side of myself that wants to be more engaged in life. I simply can't become more engaged it's like being trapped in a sci-fi hive city. On another note in 2005 I had a mental breakdown. Got a referral to metal health services. Which took 18 months to send me an appointment letter. But the appointment was for 18 months in the future from the date I got the letter. By the time the date came around I'd sorted myself out frankly. Britain is over and no amount of Reform will sort out. Britain is over. If you can get out of the UK get out whilst you can. Because it goes fast. You will eventually be at an age where there won't be any point.
Sorry for What you went through.. But the same thing are happening In almost all the western countries.. Capitalismo, ahorro y trabajo duro. Left leaning politics achieve not enough productivity and income. After years of this kind of path, we face that we're extremely poor and lonely (thank feminism for that one). At the end the 2030 agenda is working like a charm: poor people can't pollute as much as they would want, population will be reduced as a result of productivity cuts and therefore even lower purchasing power in one hand and the lonely way of life promoted by setting at odds women and men. Finally everything will be to expensive to own so you'll own nothing and maybe be happy (drugged by Big Pharma). I hope you'll get better, thanks for sharing.
Anybody who moans about how much tax they pay cannot call themselves left wing. Well done for waking up and seeing how of your wage is wasted, especially in bonny Scotland. New ferries, anybody?
for those on salaried employment, who live and spend their money here, the effective tax rate is 70-90%. If you taxed one of the richest economies in the world 70-90% would you have the teachers and doctors and nurses struggling? Would there be a queue for ambulances? Would you be waging propaganda to justify cutting help from the disabled, elderly, and terminally ill? Would you "be completely unable" to do anything about homelessness or the unaffordability of housing? Would you need to start drafting laws against travellers? Would you play propaganda games about foreigners and trans people? Would you play with referendermundums and regular election games (electioneering) just to keep the media narrative and popular talking points on the back foot, so nobody has a chance to ever discuss any of the burning issues? Is it "right wing" to expect our taxes get spent on fixing problems effectively? Is it "left wing" to believe taxes are supposed to mean the govt fixes problems? Wake up my dude, we're all noticing the same problems, together.
Paying taxes is like doing homework, for grown ups. No one likes doing it. But the responsible and mature amongst us appreciate its necessity. The real problem is twofold. 1. The issues of stagnant wages and high essential outgoings (housing, utilities, transport, food, etc). All due to 45 years of Thatcherism. 2. How much of that tax money is going, not on services. But into the pockets of mates and donors.

It is not European immigration that has destroyed Britain but rather ROW immigration.

I agree with some of your observations (that situation is getting worse), but I don't agree with you on your diagnose for the cause of those problems.
Politicians from all political spectrum are responsible. Immigration is just one of the problems.
Don't worry, they've found another group to hate, so soon they'll be saying how they love, and miss the Poles.

It's mostly Indians and becoming India mentality.

I look like a Pakastani/Arab although i was born in England and raised to be white Christian like my father. People tell me to go back where I came from, that i'm the problem with England. Now England is getting a taste of what all it's colonies felt. Feel how I feel, like you don't belong in your own country. Welcome to the club.

Why is our Gov't replacing us coloureds. Why are they replacing our religion with islam. Why are they DESTROYING US! It's called genocide.
"British people didn't have a forthright to their own country" What the hell does this even mean?
Which of the UKs cultures and customs have Muslims been protesting?
Rather than multiculturalism being the issue, I think it's that some people see multiculturalism as an issue and others disagree. Much the same as that we can't agree on whether countries like Sweden, Denmark and Norway has socialist policies.
you talk rubbish

You are sadly describing the way life is in all parts of the world, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The 1% will never care about what you are saying.
Recent Trends in Wealth in the UK
Wealth Concentration: Over recent years, wealth has increasingly concentrated among the top earners. This is a global trend, but the UK is no exception. Certain individuals and families in industries like finance, technology, and real estate have seen substantial gains.
Examples of Individuals Getting Richer:
Rishi Sunak (before entering politics): Co-founder of a hedge fund, he accrued significant wealth from finance.
People Complaining About Getting Poorer
Cost of Living Crisis: Rising energy bills, inflation, and stagnating wages have led to financial strain for many households.
This is the most apt comment, feudalism wasn't a coincidence.

Yes, what most of these COVID wise people are failing to mention (when did they actually wise up? 🤔🤨) is how terrible so many of the so-called 'pastures green' were in 2020 - 2022 compared to the UK: Australia and NZ went full police state (frighting!) and Canada wasn't much better. The Continent was on a parr with the UK or worse. Even Ireland had more police checkpoints. Only Sweden and certain US States were significantly better than the UK.
BTW unless ALL those who say they won't follow the 'guidelines' next time keep their promises (not holding my breath TBH 🫤) it'll be worse all over come the bird flu'. 🤷🫤

PPS I'm not saying the UK is going to be better than most places for the bird flu' (it might even be significantly worse) but if you're British it's your country and therefore you have more rights (and obligations? 🤔) to protest and just say "no" than you do in a country in which you are only a guest and are worried about being deported etc. 🤷

But. In the late 1970s when I was in my mid-teens, my father was advised by someone who, shall we say, had pretty high security clearance with the government.

Brexit ruined the United Kingdom.
the uk is indeed a human experiment, bet you don't know why though! anglo saxons are being genocided, there are hardly any anglo saxons in England anymore, the irish are not anglo saxon.

“I’m still open-minded about the Labour Party.” Oh my goodness.
The cognitive dissonance in her is mind blowing.
"Sure he beats me up, but he says he loves me.."

There's really no helping them, is there?
Giving women the vote has worked out well.
You don't want to become so open-minded that the wind can whistle between your ears.

How much is your rent?
Sorry for What you went through.. But the same thing are happening In almost all the western countries..
Try to see the positive side of yr life and stop speaking negativity because that what will follow you.
There are families, most immigrants with kids who have kids and end up buying houses in the UK while they were not in high paying job, but manage to understand the system and took advantage.. Yr situation is not the worse but stand up and try to understand where the problem is in yr finance is..upskill if that what u need to do to get a high paying jobs than what u have, give yr very best and leave the rest to God.
I wish you all the best.

Tax may be needed for mass deportations and promotion of christianity. That is a government spending programme I can get behind.
