I live in the southwest surrounded by retirement areas. The majority of the retirees are from the midwest who sell all their cool stuff before moving here. The estate sales here are nothing like what you have there. I do come across one or two occasionally, but it's the exception not the norm. I usually shop thrift stores and estate states. Very rarely will I go to a garage sale just because the ones in this area are usually just clothes and regular household items. I love your nook area. I 100% believe each person needs to design their home the way it fits them, not necessarily for the purpose it was originally intended for.
I would move the left chair to the left side of the window & put that white table back in the corner. Perfect place for a real plant(like a fern) & perfect for reading or looking at your phone & having coffee or wine!
This is the best idea. Something about the way it’s set up now feels empty. I think there’s plenty of room for that white table, the two chairs and enough to spare for a few little pieces to tie it up! I hope you try it, even if you dislike it and never show us.
Roundtop, TX is AMAZING!!! I went years ago in October. Farmers open up their farmland for three miles and it was packed full of the best dealers and antiques. I went from Washington state to TX and never regretted the trip.
Hey, Julie, you should go check out what they call First Monday Flea Market in Ripley, MS! It is a monster size flea market with anything and everything. They have tons of old rusty, crusty stuff you would like.
Kayla Friday from Little Cahaba Junkin on RUclips went on that yard sale, but they started in Alabama. I would love to go, but I couldn't stand the heat. I love the chairs. It just makes that corner of your kitchen look so cozy.
I go to Bargains Galore on 64 every year and always fill my car. Thursday is the first day and the best sales. Most true dealers set up on Wednesday. Higher prices than the typical yard sale. I start in NW Arkansas and work my way South. I’ve never been to the area where you were. I think like anything, it just depends on when you go, which sales you hit and the time of the day. It’s hit and miss but always a fun day for me.
Love the chairs! As my husband and I go places we stop at shops and the usually have a junk room in back of the store. Those rooms are where I find the best stuff! I love junking!
Julie, I love your breakfast nook! Perfect! I love yard sales and thrift stores. The estate sales here in Connecticut are priced so high that I usually don’t want to pay their prices. Nice things but wow, way too high priced. Thank you for teaching us how to make all your cute things!
We in TN have a yard sale from I think Alabama through GA, TN, KY up to Michigan. It's called 127 yard sale there is always good stuff and on Sunday they don't want to pack it up and sell it cheap. It's in August every year
I used to go to the highway 50 yard sales that stretched across several miles yearly, but so many sales like that just put out junk to fill the yards, and same stuff year after year
That would be so much fun !!! Definitely on my bucket list too. Estate sales or auctions would be my favorite your breakfast nook looks amazing awesome job thank you for sharing God bless
I live in Ga and I go to that yard sale every year . Sometimes I find alot of things and Sometimes I don't find anything any good. But I go every year I don't want to miss a good sale !! I love the things you bought!
Love your chairs that's such a neat little Nook in England they might call it a snug. What a neat place to sit and have a cup of coffee and visit with your husband or a friend it turned out so cute. Blessings and love from New Mexico
I think the breakfast nook looks good, I think I would turn the chairs so that the chairs are on the same angle as the windows. Love any kind of junking. Love going with a friend.
Absolutely love those chairs, and how you styled the space. I really enjoy your channel, as I love the kitchen stuff like you, and your dyi's are always cool.
The Santa mugs are vintage Japan if marked with letters and numbers. They are pretty popular and I sold out in my Etsy shop last year and approx $15/ each
I have a soft spot for wingback chairs. Yours are beautiful. I especially like the turned wood on the bottom. The centerpiece with frog and candle holders is called an epergne. Just fyi. Love your videos, your taste, your enthusiasm!
LOVE the new breakfast area chairs! The whole design, with the artwork & the little bench vignette is so special! I only shop at thrift stores. Haven’t found any desirable estate sales, garage sales are too much trouble and uses too much gas.
You need to go to The Longest Garage sale that is the first weekend in August. Start off in crossville Tennessee and go to signal mountain. Lots and lots of things.
I ❤️ those chairs!!!! The bird prints may be to small and hung to high for the space. Try hanging them together and maybe add a larger piece to the other side. Thank you for being honest about the yard sale trip. I’ve wanted to try one but I’m always skeptical about it being a bust and waste of time.
I had that in my bucket list too. My husband and I went to one about 10 yrs ago and where very disappointed too. Never saw so many dealers selling their stuff. Priced very high. Definitely not yard sales prices. Didn't buy much. Went from Albuquerque NM all the way to Kentucky then all the way down to Alabama and home again .
Never went to a garage sale like that. I have only been to one estate sale. Really disappointed because it wasn't even at the house it was at the person's business.you really run into some great stuff!
I watched another RUclipsr's video the other day who went to the same loooong sale and had the same experience you did. Appeared this is homeowners just using it as an outdoor antique mall rather than actual garage sale. High prices for antiques that you wonder where they accumulated so much from. Like 180 miles of resellers. I prefer thrift stores or if I drive by a garage sale I'll stop, but no more running all over town to garage sales anymore for me either. Too many just selling stained clothes, broken toys and cool whip containers LOL. I check the lower priced Goodwill in my area as they vary too, on senior's discount day (Tuesdays here), for 25% off total purchase. Goodwill bins look like the best bet but we don't have those stores here. I LOVE your channel and your style and can't wait for each of your new videos!
I love the. nook now! Those chairs are beautiful. The little stool is perfect there. I love estate and garage sales. When ever I have been to those highway long sales I am usually disappointed. They have “tourist” prices. Thanks Julie.
I go to The 100 mile yard sale the first Saturday in July as an annual mother daughter and grandson trip in Chula Va. It was wonderful! A lot more vendors post pandemic compared to last year! I did not need a lot because I have so much personal decor and so much business decor I haven’t sold but I got a wooden stool, two vintage stained suitcases, a hand carved 42” frame, mini jello molds2 vintage cast iron irons, a flour sifter, grater, a wreath with florals, shower curtain,2 towels, 2 /32” matching mirrors and a pretty gourd birdhouse! Im sure I posted it in your Facebook group!
The breakfast nook looks absolutely stellar, girl‼️ I am so in love with those chairs and the way you set everything up is perfect 💯 It kind of throws off a little bit of a boho feel. The only thing I would do/add is that I would put a very small oval rug centered between the chairs in front of them so like directly in front of the bench. I personally wouldn't go with a rug with a busy pattern but just something simple and plain that maybe matches the color of the stripes in your curtains to tie them into the entire look a little more! OMG.... I just absolutely love it ❣️❤️
I’ve been going to Bargains Galore on 64 for years. You need to go the 1st day if you can before everything is picked over. I always find a lot of great stuff!
I've always wanted to do it too. I have a booth at a flea market and one of my regulars told me same thing you said. There were too few really good things and with gas prices the way they are she advised me against doing it this year at least.
There's little houses made out of Windows you could put one on the front and set it up and put it out in the sun and do your little plant starters like if you want tomato plants people use old windows to do to make those little plant houses all the time
Love the chairs..great find...I like Goodwill and a local auction house--alot of people that do house clean outs run their stuff through it..Everything starts at $12..I've gotten alot of paintable furniture and smalls lots for $12. It's crazy..full bedroom sets go for $12...Dining room hutches never more than $36...I would need a pole barn to house all of the finds I passed on for lack or storage...They can ship items too..It's addicting..They'll even tell me when they have thing coming up that I might be interested in..My truck right now if full of my last haul..A small wood dropleaf table..a tall narrow bookcase, a carved wood edged 60" x 24" mirror $12 ea..I wanted the mirror and the narrow bookcase. I was shocked no one bid on the table--it will be a great project for the IOD Chintz paint inlays...it's the thrill of the hunt!
50 cents for those santa mugs??!! Glad you grabbed them. I've shopped the 127 for two years in a row now and it hasn't disappointed. A lot of retail prices on vintage items, but a lot of great finds.
I like your new chairs in your breakfast nook, such a bight area. I like to thrift anywhere. Yard sales I think have the best prices but don't always have the things I'm looking for. Estate sales can sometimes be a little sad.
Yes that must have been such a disappointment for such a long day! I'm sure you must clean those chairs somehow after bringing those home. They are beautiful in that nook. I loved that textured blanket you found too!
Love those white spice jars, I’ve been trying to find those for a couple of years now. Found some on FB market place and her husband accidentally sold them to someone else. I was so heartbroken. Figured it wasn’t meant to be.
Julie, I get so excited watching you looking a things that my grands and great grand parents had in their homes and used on a regular bases. Then of course, there are all of the things you look at that are from when I was a young wife starting out in my home..... I get a real kick out of it and I want to (and do) talk to my pc screen. The prices you experienced on your way long garage sale and about the prices I experience at almost all of the places I look near me in Texas, including Goodwill now. Love the very textured blanket. Is that going to be for sale on your website?
It's too bad you had a disappointing trip. I've done the 127 sale for 18 years. It's always amazing, so many good finds. We didn't go this year, but I did take 1 day for the Lincoln Buy way sale and I got so many treasures dirt cheap. I actually started my business after going to the national yard sales and getting so many van loads full of great items. Don't give up. Try another one next year!
I live in the southwest surrounded by retirement areas. The majority of the retirees are from the midwest who sell all their cool stuff before moving here. I was thinking the same thing but then I thought maybe Wren likes to look out the window.
I think she’d need a smaller round table in the corner and the blue chairs on either side
This is the best idea. Something about the way it’s set up now feels empty. I think there’s plenty of room for that white table, the two chairs and enough to spare for a few little pieces to tie it up! I hope you try it, even if you dislike it and never show us.
Table centered between windows chairs on each side
Roundtop, TX is AMAZING!!! I went years ago in October. Farmers open up their farmland for three miles and it was packed full of the best dealers and antiques. I went from Washington state to TX and never regretted the trip.
🐼 Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 69 yr old grandma in Texas, USA. 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍
I live in Beebe Arkansas and I didn't go to the 64 highway sale because of the heat, after your video,I'm glad I didn't.lol love all your videos
Hey, Julie, you should go check out what they call First Monday Flea Market in Ripley, MS! It is a monster size flea market with anything and everything. They have tons of old rusty, crusty stuff you would like.
I like everything too!
I agree bring white table back in and put chairs on each side. The way you have it now looks like you just shoved them in the space.
Kayla Friday from Little Cahaba Junkin on RUclips went on that yard sale, but they started in Alabama. I would love to go, but I couldn't stand the heat. I love the chairs. It just makes that corner of your kitchen look so cozy.
They would make a great collab!
I LOVE the two chairs in the breakfast nook!

I love the chairs and the 3d artwork I love estates sales
Love the look. I never doubt your work. You are such and inspiration.
Love, love, love your blue chairs and your seating nook.
Love your breakfast nook. Chairs are perfect.
Breakfast looks awesome love the chairs!!!!!!
Bargains galore on 64! My part of the yard sales in Ozark, AR.
Love the chairs! As my husband and I go places we stop at shops and the usually have a junk room in back of the store. Those rooms are where I find the best stuff! I love junking!
Love everything, I think the white table would look really pretty with the new chairs 🤗💕
I also think the white table would look good with the new chairs but I would recover the chairs in bleached drop cloth.
I agree withBarb. Move the table back an put the chair on either side of window. Great breakfast or reading nook.
Julie, I love your breakfast nook! Perfect! I love yard sales and thrift stores. The estate sales here in Connecticut are priced so high that I usually don’t want to pay their prices. Nice things but wow, way too high priced. Thank you for teaching us how to make all your cute things!
Love the colour of the chairs, softly faded too.
Your new chairs look so inviting. Welcoming to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Love your chairs 🥰
I love the Winter picture! 🥰
I love, love estate sales!
Love the two chairs, they look perfect in the space!
Love the chairs in the breakfast nook ❤
I too would use the table with your chairs! i think it would make a nice place for coffee or reading.
We in TN have a yard sale from I think Alabama through GA, TN, KY up to Michigan. It's called 127 yard sale there is always good stuff and on Sunday they don't want to pack it up and sell it cheap. It's in August every year
The 127 Yardsale is the first full Thursday-Sunday in August every year.
I just got back from there. I started on Monday in Kentucky and was thrilled how many vendors there were set up that early.
Loving the breakfast nook so stylish.
Fun trip!
so glad you were able to find chairs! The nook looks great!
The chairs look great in that area. Estate sale was better than the highway sale.
I love your breakfast nook You found some beautiful things
We have the worlds longest yard sale in early august that runs through TN, and it’s awesome- good prices , and SO much studf
I used to go to the highway 50 yard sales that stretched across several miles yearly, but so many sales like that just put out junk to fill the yards, and same stuff year after year
Breakfast nook is Beautiful now 💕
The flower bowl candle holder & frog would look good with Poinsettia flower for Christmas.
That would be so much fun !!! Definitely on my bucket list too. Estate sales or auctions would be my favorite your breakfast nook looks amazing awesome job thank you for sharing God bless
Now it's a conversation nook! My fave piece is the swan trinket dish. I've been very disappointed by some "giant" sales, too.
I live in Ga and I go to that yard sale every year . Sometimes I find alot of things and Sometimes I don't find anything any good. But I go every year I don't want to miss a good sale !! I love the things you bought!

At 1:24 the pot on stand on table I loved!
The breakfast nook looks cozy and comfortable. With the windows, it would just be a lovely place to relax
I have a soft spot for wingback chairs. Yours are beautiful. I especially like the turned wood on the bottom.
The centerpiece with frog and candle holders is called an epergne. Just fyi.
Love your videos, your taste, your enthusiasm!
Love the little sitting area.
The chairs are great. I think you could still use the white table in the corner with a chair on either side, it would be nice for homework or crafts.
I would leave the table and use chairs with it
LOVE the new breakfast area chairs! The whole design, with the artwork & the little bench vignette is so special!
I only shop at thrift stores. Haven’t found any desirable estate sales, garage sales are too much trouble and uses too much gas.
Love what you did with the breakfast nook!

My favorite to shop are estate and yard sales for sure! I always find something to bring home.
Nebraska has a Junk Jaunt the last weekend in September. It’s fun to go look
Never went to a garage sale like that. I have only been to one estate sale. Really disappointed because it wasn't even at the house it was at the person's business.you really run into some great stuff!
Great breakfast nook area. Those chairs are gorgeous. Great finds. Thanks for sharing
Love the chairs. Great finds at the estate sale.
Liked the haul. I think you should put a chait on each side of the windows UN the breakfast nook with the little table between them, seems off center
I watched another RUclipsr's video the other day who went to the same loooong sale and had the same experience you did. I have never been disappointed at this particular sale, but I do mine farther west and on toward Oklahoma. I have made some really great buys.
The chairs look great there!
Love the chairs!
I love your new cozy nook with the new chairs. It looks perfect.
Love the chairs. Long time coming, but so worth the wait😉. The little stool is perfect. Thanks for taking us along to the yard sale and estate sale.

I love everything you got!! Love that little stool in Conway you passed up but i don’t live far from there so I may have to make a day trip!!!
I’ve been going to Bargains Galore on 64 for years. You need to go the 1st day if you can before everything is picked over. I always find a lot of great stuff!

I collect those crystal Christmas Tree’s. I have a a big one and three small ones. Just started last year. Everything you bought is nice!
Love, love the chairs. Your breakfast nook looks so beautiful and comfy cozy. That blanket you picked up is beautiful.

Love your chairs and the lil corner . Find a big stuffy ottoman !
