- A modern farmhouse - tropical 2 level house, this house is a 3 Bedroom designed keeping into consideration flooding with its elevated Plan -- our second entry to our Elevated houses. The ground floor is essentially assigned as a utility zone with the main floor elevated containing the living areas. It is inspired by Philippine's traditional house, the BAHAY KUBO which is usually built on stilts and amakan elevated to the next level design.
The house has 3 BEDROOMS, one of which is a master bedroom at the main level along with other living areas such as kitchen, dining area, living area, toilet and bath and a powder room.
The ground floor has the Utility areas such as laundry room with toilet and bath, a dirty/utility kitchen, a dining area, and a carport.

You have a very good design and the exterior and interior details are great! However, I also noticed that the posts looked very slim. Should the steel posts be wrapped in concrete for protection against floodwaters? To support a third floor, do you need to use bigger I-beams or reinforced concrete beams?

Great design .However, the columns Are Too thin and small to support the upper slabs... there must be strong structural foundation included in this house not just the design.

puro kayo iwas baha porke mataas lang yung bahay. papagawa din kayo ng ganyan eh di doon na sa lugar na hindi binabaha. kung may sasakyan kayo alangan namang ipalubog nyo sa baha. mag isip isip kasi. pero maganda tong design na to.

Hi Aries, stilts house or not houses as such should be able to withstand earthquake as long as they are professionally designed and sealed considering the need to undergo conventional Building permitting. thanks!
