Wendi is a poster child for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Pretty classic behaviors as described by her ex boyfriend in her dealings with him. They tend to be serial cheaters and highly manipulative, of course. Just the type who would want to destroy the father of her children.

I can't understand why the ex-wife, Charlies sister is not indicted and on trial. She seemed so phony and disingenuous on the stand. Seems like the mother also played a hand. The whole family is corrupt.

What I see here is a family that feels so entitled that if they don't get everything in life they want [easy access to their grandchildren], that they would actually kill to make that happen. How does an entire, financially successful family degrade to the point that they have to be in control of everything all the time. The entire family is so focused on getting their way that they jeopardized their most precious asset... their freedom! It's jailtime for a family that enjoyed all the comforts that a good life could provide. It's just a matter of time that, one by one, each and every member of this family, will be in jail. Is there anyone remaining in that family that can carry on after all is said and done?

Wendi wanted to live in Miami and have full control of their children. In the Adeleson family, "Wendi wants, Wendi gets."
These kind of people want what they want when they want it, no compromise. He dared say no to them. Shows how disgustingly entitled they are.
Wendi complained to everyone she knew about Dan and their divorce. To say it was contentious is an understatment. They were both lawyers trying to outsmart each other and filed court motions about ownership of even a tennis racquet, and many other things have come out in evidence where the family all thought Dan was super aggressive and vindictive as a co-parent (as he had to fight sneaky Wendi) in the courtroom. At the time of his death they still had several pending divorce motions, including one to limit the visits of Wendi's parents with the sons as grandma Adelson was calling him "stupid" in front of his sons. So, basically, the Adelson's hated Dan because they thought he was making their lives miserable and they were out of control, Wendi was too far away from them and "lacked support," the mom especially calls him an a-hole and zealot who would taint his sons with his beliefs. There is SO much more there with all the families co-dependency and egos (Charlie has some weird mommy-Savior complex issues and I think he planned this more for Donna more than Wendi). Finally, Dan owed Wendi approx. 100K from her buyout of their house in the divorce and he wouldn't pay it and accused her of hiding assets and was possibly seeking her disbarrment from practicing law in Florida. This incensed everyone. He was a threat to their happiness, Wendi's career, their visitation, etc. Quite basically the murder motive was money and revenge.
I totally believe Jeffrey. His testimony seems genuine and not rehearsed. But Wendi on the other hand, is so sketchy.

Personally, I look at the expressions on Charlie Adelsons' face, and I think he thinks he is going to get away with it! The arrogance of this family is unbelievable! I look forward to them being taken down! I am so sorry for the boys, and I hope they are reunited with the Markel family, and receive they counselling that I am sure they are going to need. Shame on you Wendi, I could see from the look on your face, that you know the prosecution are coming for you next, and your parents. I look forward to that day, but am always mindful and praying for those innocent lives that have been affected by your familys' actions.

I thought Jeffrey was very real. Wendi's cheating ways outs her as a bad character. She tries to come off as genuine, but it feels like an act. Blames Jeffrey's "jealousy issues" for his concerns about her cheating on him.
Wendy was likely trying to intimidate Jeffrey Lacasse when she told him Charlie seriously looked into hiring a hitman. He was calling her out about cheating on him, they were fighting a lot...she wanted to intimidate him.
