love how relatively grounded this mod feels -- doesn't go over the top, just adds little additional POIs for archaeology here and there. definitely the sort of thing i want from that mechanic tbh!
It looks very cool, it's an ultra version of archaeology. Delayed death feels like an interesting replacement for totems at the beginning of the game and if they weren't so easily accessible
I genuinely love this mod, it is pretty much everything I would want from archeology. it is a good balance of incentive for the work of digging it all up and exploring. I will defiantly be adding it to my mod pack.
You should consider changing the effect Poisonous to Venomous. Poisonous is something else bites/consumes/touches you and they get poisoned. Venomous is you bite/touch something else and they get poisoned. Seeing as you inflict poison on hit you are venomous, but if you wanted to be poisonous you could make it where mobs get poisoned when they hit you.
That's what archeology update should have been. Not just pots that no one bothers crafting, and useless mob that can dig up useless plants without any use. That's the issue with vanilla archeology. It's useless.
i like vanilla archaeology, but i also like small QoL items x) I think it could have benefited from non game-changing items that can still be handy, i think the weather idol being the most fitting.
