- While I was in west palm beach florida, I noticed many kava bars, i wanted to see what it does to me and if it would get me "HI." It definitely made me feel good

The reason why Germany banned it was so it didn't have to compete with alcohol, Alcohol on average does more liver damage than what Kava does.
actually there are two species groups of kava there is what's called " Noble Kava " which causes no liver damage at all which is what is legal in the USA and there is " Tudai Kava " which only causes liver damage if you consume the leaves instead of the root and all of this research that was done by the FDA was done to determine if those German studies where accurate at all and it basically proved that the german scientists used the leaves of the " Tudai Kava " instead of the root and that German scientists don't even know enough about kava to realize that only the root is safe to consume.
Yup. Also apparently the Tudei strain can cause liver damage ( in large doses) but the noble strain doesn't. But defo alcohol and psychmeds do most damage to liver and other organs..you won't see them banned tho..
Bans Kava for potential effects on liver…..meanwhile, alcohol is available on every corner.

Apparently its not bad on your liver when prepared properly, its a certain part of the plant your not even supossed to be using that isn't great on the liver.

I don’t like the fact that a lot of people say it gets you high because that makes it sound bad but it’s generally believed to be safe for most people if used responsibly. I think it’s very helpful for people that struggle with drug or alcohol addiction as well and we should treat it with respect. Thanks for posting!
While I don't agree that that should be the case the word high definitely does have a negative connotation with the general population so maybe a new word should be used .
Why does anything that gets you high get negative attention? Even in some places to ask about "euphoric" effects draws comments about addiction and abuse. Relax, people have been getting high since before we were people. At least this shit is safe.

Kava is the best thing I ever tried regarding anxiety and stress! I've only been using it for 3 days, and even below half a normal dose! And with time I'll even need less to get the same effect!

Great video. Always carry a blanket, snacks, water, radio in your car. You could have just chilled by the edge of the water and relaxed.

Try it mixed with coconut milk because it gets rid of the bitterness and most importantly it increases the kavalactones which gives you the euphoric effect.

@@DeionSuarez you had quite a bit there, but chugging down a few ozs of it, the whole dose hits you at once vs sipping it will have delayed and longer lasting effects possibly. Also please never drive on Kava. It's theorized that it has GABA activity which contains the receptor for alcohol and benzos. Drugs with GABA activity like xanax and alcohol. Both can heavily impair driving even with a tolerance, unless it's super high and your not taking too much. With that said I think you got most of it down quick enough for most of it to hit you wt once.

I heard of Kava for the first time when I went to LA. They sold shots in a fancy grocery store but they were sold out. I wonder why it isn't more talked about?
Because people wanna get as wrecked as possible sadly, or someone doesn't make it properly and then claims that it doesn't work or it's nothing more than a Chamomile like buzz. I can tell you right off the bat that kava is nothing like Chamomile, it's a very noticeable relaxing yet uplifting buzz and you don't don't really hit peak effects til about 2 hours in. There's no withdrawal to kava and it's a far better alternative to alcohol or benzodiazpines. It's only super underrated in America, Canada and the UK though, it's a daily regimen in a lot of other countries

I've been drinking Kava for a little over a year now and I can confirm, once you break the tolerance barrier (YES, this root has a reverse tolerance effect, which is incredible), you'll need less and less kava root to feel the same if you're drinking consistently (a session daily or every other day). I've been able to wean myself of my specific meds and I consider my trip to re-up Kava every 2 weeks as a refill for my medicine! Wishing you the best on your journey :)
So eventually the reverse tolerance will have you taking half sips and falling on the ground¿ sounds as bad if not worse than too much tolerance lol. I’m semi kidding though I know that’s silly.

The shop is called Kavamama and I believe she just expanded their shipping, but not entirely sure if she could ship to Ireland. The product I keep coming back to, her strongest one, is called "The Strong One" lol lives up to the name!

Kava has been part of my diet for 40 years. I’ve never had liver problems nor has any of my family or ancestors for that matter. I enjoy green kava the best.

Yes we tried Kava with some friends and went out for Sushi before the effects kicked in. By the time we got to the Sushi bar we were totally chilling and had this cool buzz going. We mellowed out full on and had some Sake’ man what an awesome time we had!

Was your stomach empty when you drank the kava? I keep reading that it’s best effects are at least four hours since last food eaten, or that it’s practically a waste of kava if not taken on an empty stomach 🤔

If you drink Kava on an empty stomach your first few times you will get very dizzy. I have taken a few friends to the kava bars and on empty stomachs and they always end up dizzy. You’re supposed to eat and then drink it to enjoy it’s vibes. Like alcohol don’t want to drink on an empty stomach.
Btw next time you’re in WPB check out the purple lotus. They actually are the bar featured on the documentary on Netflix titled “A Leaf Of Faith”. That’s a real kava bar.. they also have one on South Beach that I frequent a few nights out the week.

Not quite true. If you ingest something sublingually or intravenously it will skip the liver and go right into ur bloodstream

How do I get this without spending $15 a cup at the Kava Bar.... I love it but the shots too expensive.
I've made the stuff at home several times everything you need for it is on Amazon. Kava powder is pretty spendy $50 for a pound $25 to 30 for a half pound which is enough to make quite a few batches. You can use a blender to make it but I ordered some reusable cloth brew bags and had my best results doing it the manual way by massaging the bag in the water, small batches take about 10 minutes. Brew bags really do catch a lot of the sediment with the least amount of work.

I used to keep drinking Kava as a self medication for my extreme anxiety.. felt my mouth numb like in a dentist office. Made me sooooo mellow, like I didn't feel much. It felt like taking a benzo. It did hurt my liver though. Not much research out there, so I'd be careful. I had to stop this whole self medication, because I started looking for other drugs out of desperation when it didn't work as well over time and needed more.. Just be careful

I've tried some of the hardest fucking drugs out there and I've been drinking kava for about 6 years now.....you are simply wrong and that's all there is to it, OR you've never had real kava. It absouletly gets me fucking high, there's even terms for it such as "rooted" or "krunk". Whats next weed doesn't get you high?
