My cheeks are hurting. What’s amazing is how he happens to get a dead crowd and he still just goes into it 100% with full confidence that he knows who he is. An unstoppable force.
People (including myself) didn't know what to make of Jim Carrey back then...just didn't know what a comic genius he was (is) yet. What a talent. So much effort in all of his performances.
This is a Jack Nicholson's Joker impression at 1:00 in a Batman famous scene. You guys need to understand it was 1989, and Batman was THE new record breaking movie.
His crazy humor reminds me of Robin Williams. You never know where it’s going, second to second, but you know it’s going to be outrageous, like a scream from the depths of insanity. (Like Williams, he probably misses his home planet, and longs to return there, or at least escape from here)
@@danny24042002 lol without Hollywood James Eugene Carey would have only been famous in Canada . Nobody outside Canada would have known him which would have been a big shame . The way people see Carey now would have not been as it wouldn't have existed . For me his the most successful actor to come out of Canada . Michael J Fox comes pretty close .
@0:48 This T-Rex character development and impersonation was recycled in the Lemony Snickets movie outakes. I was in tears when he did this for that movie. That and Stephano. Not only is he able to morph his face into guys like Jack and Clint but his vocal impression of both guys is spot on. When he did the Joker line from 1989's Batman, I thought for sure that was a voice-over/playback from the movie. But nope. How the hell does he do that??

And six years later, he did "Batman Forever" (1995).
He can really sing!
he perfects everything he does in all of his shows
This set is so garbage

Mutant Elvis nearly made me choke on my chicken korma!! Never eat while watching Jim Carrey!
It’s the trying to brush his hair back that really hits
i'm literally dying over here
This was the Jim I loved. Don’t really care for depressed Jim and his serious roles. Oh well.
Omg I'm crying! Jim you kill me!
This is classic Carey.
He was Canada's up and coming comic - just at the edge of his breakthrough in Hollywood.
starting his downfall
*Carrey
You also spelled it wrong in the title
