uuuh...he just did three Muppet voices in a song, and all you can do is criticize? Whats your greatest accomplishment? Cutting your mom's armpit hairs in her basement?
@@handyman7632 Oh, the old "can you do any better" card. I can't cook for shit, but if someone cooks me a horrible dish it doesn't suddenly taste good because I can't cook any better.
Jim was definitely awkward and nervous, but who wouldn’t be at that age? Kind of cool to see a comedic giant like Jim have a little lack of confidence.
So basically he was doing his same over-the-top crazy facial expressions shtick even in the 80s. Don't get me wrong, I think he's hilarious in movies like Ace Ventura and his roles in In Living Color (his William Shatner impression always makes me laugh), but it's a shtick that gets old really quickly and he's been doing it his entire career.
You have to consider that it only started to count DURING the time of Ace and Mask, and so on. He wasn't a big celebrity in the early 80s. Most people didn't even know who we was. Therefore, he had to keep exposing his gift until he made it to the big time. He's an example of sticking to your dreams and believing in your talent until it pays off. If anything, he should be admired for not giving up.
@@alaza61 you’re right, he was unknown in the 80s. However he would’ve been famous then had Saturday Night Live accepted him, But instead they turned him down so his fame was delayed until 1994.
Wow, he had all his skill, courage, and humility even at the age of 19 already; incredible.
He was never shy that's pretty admirable
Jim Carrey had no idea just how famous he was going to be.
Of course he did. If you don't have that vision and goal then you won't succeed
@@brianrodriguez6897well not necessarily, some people have no idea that they’ll be successful and they do
"I think you're headed right to the top" Me too.
He's adorable here
A natural born entertainer.
Dude was just talented and way too smart.
Love this.
1:11 Jim tears a rift in the space-time continuum.

SCTV spoofed this show with Andrea Martin as Mikki.
I wonder if she let him go all the way to the Top, then back down..
His sly would be done on living colour a decade later

He’s far more than a comedian…
No, the only comedians that get old are pathetic losers like adam sandler who do the exact samethings in all of his predictable movies
