    My name is Xanthe Wyse.
I filmed one of my sessions working on book themes for my sequel novel: Soar Purpose.
Listening to music, flicking through selected pages from journals (scrapbooks) I'd taken photos off (before burning dozens of journals).
In just over 20 minutes, I skim-read over half a dozen journal pages, typed notes plus scribbled some key words into a scrapbooks. This was the entire recording, sped up.
I've been a leg-jiggler for decades (first made aware of it when I was a teenager). It's subconscious & discharges energy. Actually get quite warm, hence shedding a few layers.
I move quite a lot when I am working on a creative project (opposite to being very still with shutdown presentation of posttraumatic stress disorder, PTSD).
ADHD is ruled out for me.
Flick through music if I am not in the mood for a song. Music actually helps me to get in the 'zone' ('flow state'). Music also helps me to deal with any triggering themes.
One of my main barriers is I am working with a pain disorder (mainly muscle pain), hence the frequent microstretches & movements in shoulders, hands, releasing tension.
Another barrier is my short-term memory impairments. Hence, summarising any notes of keywords etc to make sure I include the themes I want to. I don't see the point in writing further drafts until I have sifted through my raw material (mostly journal notes & paintings) to semi-organise the material I want to weave in.
One thing I didn't notice before is I don't actually use the back of my chair.
Showed the final song I listened to for this session. One scribbled page of notes from several. Didn't count how many typed pages.
I need to make the story lead on from Pet Purpose: Your Unspoken Voice, without repeating anything in either of my current books. Also without omitting anything I want to include.
At this stage, trying to work on the project up to 1 hour per week.
My self-published books are about relationships with disabilities, inspired by my experiences. My primary diagnoses are post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD & bipolar disorder.
