The Micro Dark shares the same intuitive Shape control combined with a new ECC83 (12AX7)-driven high gain preamp section, yielding screaming dirty tones that make a mockery of its miniature frame. Like its bigger brothers, however, the Micro Dark’s smoky black chassis and simple layout actually disguise its cunning versatility.
Now after the mod, The gain stages for both the tube & solid state portions of the circuit were modified to increase the gain and intensity of the tone! The tight switch is an add on feature to tighten tone & give more flexibility for the tone Eq control. He also modified the drive of the circuitry to push the amp much harder! A message from the AMP MAN: “I wanted the "Toy" tone portions of this design to be more detailed, like a much bigger amplifier!”
