For the confused, Machamp gets Fissure in Gen 1. Machamp from the recent(ish) digital rereleases of Gan 1 and 2 games can be transferred forward with Pokemon Home. However, they are locked to their hidden abilities, preventing No Guard Fissure Machamp. Until just recently, that is, as the new Ability Patch item can be used to switch from a HA to normal abilities. No Guard makes all moves used by and against the pokemon bypass accuracy checks to always hit.
@@FlameHidden I don't think it does, you just cannot use it online (you had to verify Mons legitimacy if they were from previous gens in SwSh, which reset their moves to the level-up learnset of the current Gen.
Now that Ability Patch changes ability from hidden to non-hidden, I'm willing to bet Fissure is going to get removed from the game in Gen X so they can end the danger of No Guard Fissure Machamp for good...

I'm so glad this is finally getting recognition lol I actually found out that this was possible in natdex ag on december 2nd, and a friend and me started using it a lot leading to more people using it too, so i thought it was gonna get well known but i still don't see it too often. Maybe with this vid it's finally gonna get big I'd say this strat is the most overpowered cheese strat in the game. Especially since the Machamp line gets smack down too :^)
machamp doesnt need smack down, its really costly using it against flying types which usually have a super effective flying type move. instead, I personally like giving machamp gravity support to get by every machamp counter except shedinja(which various coverage moves can deal with). i even saw 2 teams use both gravity and trick room with machamp, although i personally find that overkill

i've waited so long to finally use no guard fissure machamp, and with the power of natdex, that dream has finally become a reality. i just wish this was possible on cart.
Once I saw someone use a team with a Hypno with Assist and Mind Reader. Mind Reader works like Lock-On, and the only Assist valid moves on the team were OHKOs. The rest of the team was built to be as viable as possible while not having any Assist Valid moves except the OHKOs, like Golurk with Focus Punch, Dig, and Phantom Force. So they would use Mind Reader, and follow it up with an OHKO from Assist. I won, but only because my Magnezone was complete immune to OHKOs due to sturdy. That team was very cool.

Sturdy laughs so hard at all these anti-Speed and anti-Flying strats. People are forgetting how ability just straight up makes the Pokémon immune to OHKO moves.
Mold breaker would help you there because it only negates the opponent's ability if that ability would make your own moves fail, but it's not the case here. Sturdy is a counter though yeah, but most sturdy mons are weak to fighting. I think the biggest weakness is that no guard also makes the opponent's moves never miss, so you can use extremely low accuracy moves like hypnosis or your own OHKO moves, if you can outspeed Machamp you'll hit it for sure before he can use fissure

Hey I have an idea for a strat! It's pretty hit or miss but I find myself laughing every time I get it to work! Krookodile Ability: Moxie Swagger Foul Play Two moves of your choice Alternatively you can try Scrafty if you'd rather the Dark Fighting combo or Weavile if you don't care about missing out on Moxie It's great for countering physical attackers the problem being that you have to set up with swagger, and if the confusion misses it may end up badly. Perhaps you can try a substitute to cover the set up? Idk I'm pretty bad at showdown but I feel like this little troll strat has potential so I'd love to see what you could do with it!

how do you learn how to be like this this seems harder than chess, and I get a headache whenever I play chess against someone good (I'm now remembering when I would just choose the highest damage pokemon when I was 7)
This all sounds well and good but I'm pretty sure how it will work is that transfer moves are gonna be deleted when you transfer into SV, the same way they were in BDSP and LA. It's clear to me that they don't want Toxic to continue being so widespread.

Hey temp did you in this 'unplayable meta' aka Gen 9 Ndag, people have legitimate teams built around no guard fissure machamp. They started using trick room with it but with gravity so it hits flying types besides carrying a Ditto and a healing wish pokemon. The tier is crazy rn with these strategies. Even stuff like revival blessing spam with pawmot ( don't mind if it's the incorrect spelling) or smeargle and liepard spam + Ditto which doesn't accomplish anything and just wants to opponents to rage quit or pp stall teams with less longevity while a team with two regen mons would just switch back and forth to win. I suggest you play a few games on that ladder when you're bored with tours! ( Cuz it's funny. )
Nat Dex AG is playable come on, there are so many counters to everything. Shedinja does literally anything u want it to, counter machamp? Yes sir. Be literally "invincible" with tera electric? Yes sir. Oh, people are using Sand Stream and Sandstorm to kill you? Just use tera ground. Shedinja has many counters too, rocky helmet for sneak, toxic for secret power shenanigans. If tera ground, just use a ice, grass or water move

Also, can't really use Bulk Up from Gen 6 onwards, due to running Bullet Punch/Poison Jab for anti-Fairy coverage.

Sturdy is an even better counter. No Gravity hijinks will get around that ability.
