Something the iPad does super well for me is help me focus on tasks at hand like when I need to study or read. I get easily distracted with mails or coding on my desktop but I keep that seperate from my tablet. So I can simply sit on my bed or on the couch and study without distraction
Yeah I agree with this so much. It helped me a lot back in the day when I was studying. And now there are better focus modes so it makes you focus even more haha
I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
Everything was going so well for the ipad until it couldnt code. This is a major setback. Being able to code on this portable machine would of made a world of a difference.
Actually, I heard that using certain programs you can in fact code on the iPad. For instance, ruclips.net/video/0dZd3Azd_PQ/видео.html , a few days ago I watched this RUclips videos. After some light research I realized there were many others. I know it cannot do everything, but it fortunately can accomplish some coding for certain tasks. :)
I have been using my IPad Pro 2018 for a very long time and I see the good points and the freedom that the apple pen offers. But I have to be honest, nowadays an Ipad cannot replace a laptop. I would choose a laptop today rather than an iPad even if they are as powerful as the laptop the software isn't good enough. I hope that will change with the next WWDC.
Hey, I'm currently looking for iPads for my studies beginning in August. It should be the main device I use in the International Business courses. So, I decided it should definitely be the 12,9" version, not sure about 2018, 2020 or 2021 (will buy it pre-owned) You said the software isn't good enough, but what do you mean by that? Do you think I will be missing functions? Which iPad 3rd, 4th or 5th generation would you recommend for my purposes? Thank you, Lea
@@leakemp2372 the 12.9 version is the right choice, it is like normal paper in size. The Apple Pencil is essential and a keyboard is recommended for texts, Apple makes a very good one, but third-party providers also do well (Logitech). Which iPad 3rd, 4th or 5th generation would you recommend for my purposes? it makes little difference if you don't want maximum performance. The only thing that is different about the newer models is that they have their own LIDAR sensor, an improved camera and the M1. If you don't need these things, you can use any model. However, I would recommend the IPad Pro 2019 or newer, because the IPad Pro 2018 I own has stability problems. It bends easily, so my iPad now has a small curve. You said the software isn't good enough, but what do you mean by that? Well that depends on what you use it for. Do you want to use it for notes? Then there are no restrictions, the Ipad is perfect for this, I recommend either Notibility or GoodNotes5 as an app. What I mean is that the software doesn't use it's full potential, so data management is a nightmare and professional software for professionals doesn't exist. I would like to have XCode on the Ipad but it doesn't exist. FinalCutPro is also missing. As soon as you connect the iPad to a monitor, the 4:3 format remains. But the worst was Word, Excel, etc. These programs are not available in full versions on the Ipad. This makes it impossible to write down essays (I mean it, it was so bad I had to get a laptop from school to finish the essay). If you don't have a laptop, don't buy an Ipad. But if you know for sure that the things you want to do with the iPad are possible and apps exist, then buy it. But like I said before, an Ipad CANNOT replace a laptop YET! I hope that was helpful 🙂
i have an Ipad pro 2021 and i only use it for studying and working so it has been great. i've used a tablet that isn't really designed for studying purposes and it's not fun. The thing i like the most about my ipad is that i can use multiple windows at the same time. which is particularly helpful when i'm recording tutoring sessions and i need to pull up slides, or an extra notes page all from one app (i use apple notes) and of course i always have a calculator hidden to the side. although i still 100% prefer typing out assignments on a laptop, i enjoyed this video, thank you.
The iPad is still a tablet. I've tried tirelessly for years to use it as a computer, and it just doesn't do it. My corporate websites don't work will in Edge and are not optimized for iPad. I can't export reports from our corporate sales reporting to Excel and format the information. etc. I still need to use my Mac mini or work issued Windows PC (uuuhhh) to do a lot of the heavy reporting features and exporting of information to format in other programs. I can create my meeting templates in Notes and insert files and attachments for meetings. Also take notes with my Apple Pencil during meetings, but I am speaking from someone who has a corporate job in sales for a multibillion dollar Fortune 100 corporation. I can see it working for content creation and other digital work environments, but I still use it solely as a tablet. I've had the 12.9" with Magic Keyboard, and other keyboard cover variations trying to use it as my sole computer. I gave it to my daughter who is going off to college this summer. My company issued me an 11" M1 iPad Pro that I now use as a tablet only. Believe me, I've tried everything to use it in a professional environment.
Just think for a sec running full fledged VSC on an iPad, going on a trip with LTE/5g connectivity. Coding on the go with awesome network connectivity what a dream, hope it comes true someday.
I know several RUclips creators who edit their videos on iPads and manage their channel from them. I’ve also recorded and edited multiple podcast episodes on my mini.
Honestly these videos help me use both my MacBook Pro 14” and iPad Air more efficiently for school considering I’m getting my bachelors in computer science which he also goes over in his videos is a bonus. Keep up the good work I’m always looking for a new video to watch to enhance my productivity.
Just setup your own browser visual code via VM ... use digital ocean, launch VM, and done, terminal and adds-on works. Other issues, create a VM on GCP/AWS virtual linux/windows and connect... there is always a work around...
I suggest checking out the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra! Most users are loving the DexMode since it really does a better job acting as a Desktop compared with the iPad. Everyone's going crazy about it!
An honest dive into the facts. What I loved was, you pointed out: " just because something can be done, it won't be as it's max potential as on Mac/Desktop" I got the base M1 MacBook Air, what I love about this laptop is it's as easy to get into work as you demonstrated with iPad (and I have experienced with phones). Having less friction when trying to get work done, does help a lot. I have been developing games for last 6 months, MacBook Air is what should be considered when trying to be flexible while still relying on a desktop environment. For a student, I think it can be a great device, or even a primary device depending on your degree. I'm just about finished up with my electrical engineering degree, and I spent about a year using my partner's iPad (the cheap one with Pencil support from 2019) to take notes and do assignments that needed to be hand written with Good Notes. It was a really nice experience! But, I still always had my MacBook Pro with me as my main device to get work done, as I ended up doing a lot of consistent coding in various IDEs, Matlab was needed constantly throughout my degree, and I found myself running virtual machines fairly often for various reasons. At this point now that I'm 2 exams away from finishing my degree, I have no idea what I'd use an iPad for going forward lol. I'm left with the feeling that it occupies this middle-ground between my phone and my laptop that I never really need. For quick, on the go stuff, my 13 Pro Max does everything I'd want an iPad to do and it fits in my pocket. For serious, sit down, head-down work, my MacBook Pro does way more than an iPad can. For what I need, an iPad is just never the most optimal experience - it's always compromised compared to other devices I already have.

Thank you in advance for any tips you can give me.
Not sure if it's the same model but my desktop looks identical to yours.
Bro try Remote Desktop VNC viewer.
