Mountainous Desoto State Park is nestled atop beautiful Lookout Mountain in scenic Northeast Alabama and accented by many rushing waterfalls and fragrant wildflowers that will simply take your breath away. Developed in the late 1930s, the hard-working and dedicated men of the CCC made many natural enhancements to the park that have withstood the test of time and will last for future generations. Come commune with Mother Nature as DeSoto State Park offers a family-friendly atmosphere that holds wonders for people of all ages!
DeSoto State Park is conveniently located only 8 miles northeast of Fort Payne, Alabama; and DeSoto Falls - also part of DeSoto State Park - is located about 7 miles north of the park heading towards Mentone, Alabama.

How is it you guys choose where you want to go; is it at random at times? Or is it always strategically planned some time before the trip. Do you or wife work from the road or these are days you have off and you make a run for it? I’m curious been watching some of your vids; and we’re from South FLA, when we travel outside of the state it’s only when we have at least 5 days since we live in Miami and takes us some time to leave the state. Anyway thank you so much for your vids 🏁
Great question
Sometimes we just go with the flow and other times we planned our routes.
As far as work we own our business and it gives us the flexibility to just go when we want. Thank you for watching and safe travels
@@LeslinAdventures appreciate the reply; thankfully we have some flexibility as well although not as much as you guys lol but at times wife does have to bring some work on the road if we want to get a head-start and why not when your driving at times over six-plus hours. Subscribed back a couple weeks or so when I came across your stay in the Keys.

How are the roads leading up to the campground? Is it steep?
Great question. Roads are a bit steep but it’s doable make sure you come thru A35 Highway
What is the temperature usually in June there?
We were the in winter 🥶. I’m assuming in summer it’s probably 70-90 degrees
Its not camping when the lights stay n all night. Could at least turn them off at quite hours.
We actually turn them off ‼️ every single time. Thanks
