that Akrapovic race exhaust is $10k. F that with a capital F!!! especially since other companies like Spark SC project Termignoni will probably make one cheaper and better looking than Akras crap
Akrapovic is not crap BUT one third of the price of the base bike just for the exhaust is ridiculous. They should at least offer a sensible price when bought with the bike. You’d want the exhaust when prepping the bike for track use and the cost is excessive.
@@sp00ky1969 ALL Akra exahsut look like crap!!!!!! except for having nice welds theirydesigns are crap!! No one has ever said anything Akrapovic made was a thing of beauty.
@@USAracingYou’re stating your opinion about something entirely subjective (appearance) as fact… That’s silly. You do you though. 👍 My only objection to the Akrapovic is the price once Ducati tax is added (you don’t pay anywhere near that for an Akrapovic for any other bike and I expect you can buy a far larger system for a car from them for less).
I love the bike, looks and all, but I'll never own one. Both because I'm done squeezing my 6'2" self onto a compact sport bike, and other things take priority when it comes to spending that much dough. I'm glad you did the tech overview as a voice over ... no one should be expected to rattle off all that info on the fly. I found the tech discussions in the other reviews interesting and informative.
Panigales one of the few road superbikes that are actually roomy for big (tall) riders due to footpegs, etc. New aprillia pretty good too. Some of the Japanese bikes a bit cramped still.
@itzerisadomeeiot4980 mate you don't know what you are talking about. I own the older version v4 and unless i am wearing leather i get second degree burns on my inner thighs. All other sport bikes get hot but nothing like the panigale. We were hoping that the new bike will fix this problem

Yes but since they are designed with the fairings, it will look like crap unlike the current generation which you could easily remove and the bike looks good.
I dont know why any of you are worrying about this swingarm so much! This is just a street mockup. The race one Pierobon makes will look nothing like it. And will be billet not cheap cast.
Seems like an amazing bike based on this review. I have mixed feelings looking at the bike. Its a nice design but it looks like a late model Honda CBR that had a mild makeover. Perhaps it needs some Tricolore graphics or model decals.
Does Ducati still offer the claimed 4 bhp gain from the racing oil like they do with the 2024 V4R? If so are we saying the 228 with the race exhaust and then the 4 bhp gain with the race oil would put total bhp at 232, which I believe is what the V4R claimed bhp is?

@sp00ky1969 Ducati has a lot of haters because a lot of people can't afford to own them so they glaze their japs like a home sports team that hasn't won a game all season. Their team is the best and everyone else sucks. Then all they hear in reviews is praise of how they're one of a kind. And in MotoGP and wsbk they're kind of like the Yankees.
S Model = Bigger profit margins. Less sales, same money or more. Same situation on the Automotive sales sector: Always push the customer towards the more loaded, more expensive trims. Whoever wants a Base model nowadays, needs to seat down at the dealer, check the boxes, order it and wait for it to be built and delivered.
The amount of crap that's going to accumulate in the open parts of that new swingarm will definitely make it outweigh the single sided unit from last model.
Anyone have experience with electronic suspension? I’m curious just how adjustable is it? The low speed compression looks way too soft and the rebound too slow for my style. I can feet the chattering in my teeth. I don’t like front end travel having that much say so in my wheelbase length, I’d rather control that my self. I prefer to use the rear brake control wheelbase. The front traveling like that change’s line drastically when I get on the throttle.
Hopefully this New V4S will be faster than the last one that was 2 seconds a lap slower than the 20? yr old GSX R 1000 K5 you tested against - THIS MUST BE SEEN (please)
Yes, but that test was clickbait. 1 test and people are taking it as read that a k5 is superior to a modern panigale?😅 Technically, the 2017 onwards gsxr is superior to the k5 (which was an amazing bike) in all areas and would blitz it on track, yet watch any recent group test and what bikes come out on top? Ducati and bmw. Do some actually believe bikes have not moved on in 20 years? if that was the case, those running in world and domestic superstock and superbike championships across the globe would still use those platforms, they don't.
@@sp00ky1969 of course it was. I'm using the same Title they used on the video - clickbait - (and it still should'nt be 2 sec's a lap faster) and hopefully we'll see the Ducati get its own back
Swing Arm and front-end is huge in the super bike world. The smallest of tweaks are everything in refinement. Systems have to work together and are prohibitively costly to re-create from scratch or a major overhaul. This bike is an absolute thoroughbred. A winner on its own. No need for anything but what comes pro race feedback.
Thank you guys for not taking this whole video. A man screaming inside of a motorcycle helmet.
Thank you Sir.
I appreciate your meticulous detail. 👍 As a two-time Aprilia owner. I am in shock with this Ducati 🤯.
Love that in helmet camera vision, another highly engaging review guys 💪😎
This is brilliance in engineering. Way to go Ducati!
Wow! What a technological tour de force! What more is there to improve in race bike tech?
Great review Troy, thanks.
Thank you. Very interesting. Well done.
Best looking and sounding bikes ever ❤
It’s a very technical circuit. This is why they brought the 2025 V4S there because Ducati knew it could handle it.

There's a company called Vandemon that makes aftermarket exhausts that look almost identical to the akra pipes but for a fraction of the cost.
