    The old Clipper works pretty good! I have a Clipper Hero New No.1 that I refurbished last year and use to clean wheat.

    That is a very cool old machine. Am I correct to say that you are sifting out the smaller wheat berries to use as seed next year and keeping the larger wheat berries for food/feed purposes?

    • @ImaginaryMachines

      Yes I used it for cleaning seed to sow and for milling into flour. This cleaner sorted out the small shriveled wheat along with any dirt, weed seeds or chaff. This cleaner worked good but I have now upgraded to a large cleaner that is just a large fan and it pulls all the gunk out of the wheat. I am planning on doing a video on the new cleaner once I get a little time!

    Do you have any idea where to get parts for a clipper 1. I bought one and made a homemade thresher but I need wooden pulleys and a belt

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  2 года назад +2

      No I don't know where you'd find parts.
      If you find someone with a lathe they can probably turn you some pulley's.
      I made a belt out of nylon webbing and it worked great 👍

      @@ImaginaryMachines Great idea thank you. What HP motor did you put on it? I have a 1/6 HP I might try

    There's a lot more fascinating, technical and science to farming then I use to think. Recently moved to South Dakota and worked a job as a seasonal tax preparer a year and half ago but then took a job in a pea splitting mill. I think it's like a grain mill but splits peas to be used as a protein flour. Lots of computerized touch screen controls and a lab that tests for soy since we can't have soy for allergy reasons. If I would have known about all the different machinery and technology involved in agricultural /farm work maybe I would have gone to an ag school instead of computer programming degree.

      I've learned to use walk behind moveable augers (conveyor belts for loading grains), skid loaders and a telehandler. Even learned to use an amp meyer for changing divertors over grain bins.

    It surely looks like a clipper 1b, but the hopper says "The Ohio" and the fan outlet says no.22. Not that it matters much, but I don't think it's a Clipper produced by AT Ferrell. Is there any other stenciling anywhere else on the machine? Still, a very good video of a very good machine. Thanks.
