I'm not sure about the grain but I love that blue 3 axle dump truck. It has also been a really long time that I've seen a Kenworth or any truck cab with 3 axles in the back or a 4 axle cab. Usually now a days they use "pusher axles" that have one single large tire on it and steer when the truck-tractor turns if you purchased that feature as it naturally adds more to the cost of the truck. We are talking road trucks here and not tractors like used for plowing fields etc... LOL So newer truck cabs used for heavy haul the way I understand it, use the pusher axle that can be raised or lowered. Then if you need to haul more weight close to the trailer king pin they use Jeeps (they look like little trailers) as spreading the weight out seems to be a big thing when it comes to crossing bridges, etc. especially in your country and in a lot of places in the USA. Also having the rear axle widely spread on the trailer seems big in your country too. I guess it has a lot to do with spreading the load over a long area when crossing some of these bridges, and I know the border bridges between Canada and USA have those strict rules, so without the right set up, you get limited on the amount of weight you can haul which is costly to some truck drivers that do not have the correct attachments like front and rear Jeeps......... That aside, not seeing any cows today was sad or Suki the dog, but thanks for the video you did shoot... I watched it on 3/16/2019 and gave the video thumbs up as always. Thanks Tyson.
We have an older 5 screen, it's supposed to run 25 tons of wheat per hour..... We've never gotten that much through it... We run mostly oats, it will run about 25 ton in an hour and a half. Does great getting the little stuff out!!! We made a rotary screen that sits on top of the feed hopper to get the big stuff, but it's slow... Worked well enough last year to get wet radish pods out!!! Got down to dry enough to store!!!😎
Looks like Mom was heading to the calving barn to check out the new arrivals. The Kwik Kleen, looks like a simple system and as we all know, simple is easier to maintain and still gets the job done. Similar to what was on our late 50's JD combine, ScourClean.
In Sweden minor portions of canola/rapeseed oil is fed to pigs since it's supposed to give the pork a special rich flavour, "rapsgris"=canola pig is the trade mark, could be a marketing trick. The bi-product, after having pressed out the veg oil, is fed to dairy cows.
What will you do with the screenings? I helped clean seed wheat in the summer of 81. Bagged it right off the cleaner. Farmers came from all over to buy it. Because of the quality of seed the man had.
Good day Interesting video. Yrs. ago people had scour kleens on, how come they were not used anymore. Sheep & chickens manure will not let any weeds thur them. Thanks
I got a question for you. I'm looking to buy a gsc air powered grain cleaner. I don't know how well they work taking out white caps. Have you ever tried changing out screens for reverse cleaning? Good grain falls out and the bigger whitcaps would be removed?
@@Northern_Farmer good point. We'd only be running about 200 bu an hour. I guess it comes down to capacity. Can the screenings auger be removed and let the grain drop into another 8 inch auger?
@@lobbyrobby yea I did that for getting barley out of canola....I took a big round auger hopper and out the cleaner right on top of it...then I opened the clean out door and just left the screening auger detached
Tyson thanks for the video, I have a question do you send the barley seed out to be coated before planting? I really don't know how it's done up there so i was just wondering. Thanks
@@Northern_Farmer I looked to see if canola or pigweed would make good wild bird feed. Canola is undesirable and birds spread pigweed seed and cause infestations. So much for that idea. Keep the videos coming dude! Edit: Is there some way to burn it or something to capture heat? There must be quite a bit of energy there.
Do you think that cleans it just as good or close to a professional cleaner? Right now we get all our cereals and starting some pulses cleaned at a seed plant, but if this does just as good or close to them this might be the way to go
I keep reading that as Kiwi Clean and thought that sounded brutal thing to do to a New Zealander, not even lambing yet and my mind is playing tricks on me

Yes she was. First time for her to be out of the house for a long time.
Those kwik cleaners are awesome i use ours all the time used it during last harvest
Great video keep up the great work enjoyed seeing you feed the cows and what you do on a daily bases awesome video
That works really well, I imagine the pay off won't take long and you would have wished you had it a long time ago. I know I want one.
Well with the amount of canola thats in it... it will pay for itself in no time.
Nice and simple. Grain looks good !
Like the cleaner (Kwik Kleen) does a good job in cleaning the grain.

Works pretty well
So the Barley is ready for market but what happens now to the screenings?
What will you do with the screenings? I helped clean seed wheat in the summer of 81. Bagged it right off the cleaner. Farmers came from all over to buy it. Because of the quality of seed the man had.
Its mainly canola so im going to sell it
good video Tyson.that Kenworth is a sweet rig, will you be using it for off the farm jobs too.the kwik kleen is doing a good job.
No... just for farm use
Good day Interesting video. Yrs. ago people had scour kleens on, how come they were not used anymore. Sheep & chickens manure will not let any weeds thur them. Thanks
Yes your not the only one to mention that scour cleaner... I have to look that up.
I got a question for you. I'm looking to buy a gsc air powered grain cleaner. I don't know how well they work taking out white caps. Have you ever tried changing out screens for reverse cleaning? Good grain falls out and the bigger whitcaps would be removed?
You can but it is not ment for it... cause the screening auger is to small

@@Northern_Farmer thank you
I don't know where I was but how long have you had that Kenworth?
Since last spring.
Well I missed it but it's a beauty
Thanks.. I guess I havent really done a video up close of it
its doing a good job there tyson thanks for the video
How's it going, Everyone. What a great Day.
Great video buddy....so tell me ..what do you do with the screenings???
Well its mainly canola... so im going to sell it
Hope you'll be seeing some green soon! In both forms, hahaha ;D
Tyson thanks for the video, I have a question do you send the barley seed out to be coated before planting? I really don't know how it's done up there so i was just wondering. Thanks
They coat it at the seed cleaning plant. It's just liquid and its sprayed on
can you recover the canola using a different screen in the Kwik Kleen?
There are quite few different screens. I'd have to look
Spring is just around the bend.
Nice Set Up!👍
Wait a minute- how do I not remember that KW???? lol That grain cleaner works pretty good!!
Lol... its been in a few videos last fall at harvest
What do you do with the stuff left over? Can it be re-cleaned or do you just dump it some where?
Im going to sell it... its mainly canola... so its fine.
That cleaner is a pretty slick unit. Looks like it does a nice job.
Will you feed the trash seed to the cattle?
Its mainly canola.. so im going to sell it with the rest
Thanks like the cleaning grain .
U gonna make cattle cubes out of the screening ?
No.. its mainly canola...just going to sell it
Can you grind the screening and feed to cattle, Tyson? Thank you.
It's mostly canola and pig weed. .not good feed

Not to sure...
Nice grain cleaner right there.
What do you do with the screenings?
Sell it with the canola

Its not a professional cleaner... its just a quick screener to get rid of dockage. You can also size your seed with the right screens to.
Betya that investment pays for itself pretty quickly!
so far so good
Looks like it's doing good
I keep reading that as Kiwi Clean and thought that sounded brutal thing to do to a New Zealander, not even lambing yet and my mind is playing tricks on me
haha.. I know the feeling
Thanks for explaining the cleaning process #WorldsOkayestFarmer
Looks like great tool. Thanks
Does it de beard barley?
No
Trying to find a place to rent this cleaner and flaman rentals don't rent them out
Yea we couldn't either..borrowed one from a neighbor who was renting it out..
Cleaning for seed or just grain for sale ?
Cleaning to sell. The feed mill doesnt want canola
Take the screenings to town and sell it, get some beer money
I know.. it will buy quite a few beers!!!
I really enjoyed that
I like your Hat
Wanna deliver me some? I need 300 bushels haha
Haha..you looking for some barley
Ya I want some Copeland probably gonna get some from the neighbor haha
lots of guys are trying out synergy here.... I wished I would have heard about it sooner... would have got some.
Neat
