I personally recommend doing the history class because it gives you shrine locations for the new 4 legendaries! From there you'll have an idea on which area you need to look so you can unlock them.
I appreciate this because you basically gave us no information, but gave us enough to not waste our time (like the shiny locked starters)

Checked this way after finishing the game. I played through the entire game without knowing anything. I did gyms in a much different order. Grusha was my third, which made me expect the champ to be around level 100 with how steep the levels rose from bug to water to ice. I grinded a lot to match grusha's power and then swept every other gym...
They give us an open world where you can do tasks in any order but don't make tasks allow any order. Gyms should've scaled properly with you just like in Pokemon Origins

really glad you gave us the most optimal order to play though. that was one of my concerns with this game not knowing what order to do stuff in and focusing on one thing then being way over leveled.

I feel like my basic plan is gonna be to explore the world, build my team, and tackle the story mode stuff one by one, starting with the Titans (since they're important for unlocking modes of transport).
I just did one by one like, 1 Titan then 1 Crew base then 1 Gym and when I ran out of Titan and Crew base's I just finished up the gyms
I would not skip the trainer quest at one of the first towns. It gives you a amulet coin
I started Violet and I'm just taking my time getting to enjoy the game. I'm not focused on story or anything, I'm grateful you showed the graphic of the "correct order" to play.
I just want to explore the Western & Eastern parts of the map to the grass and Psychic gyms, seeking out Tera battles and Tera mons while seeing new pokemon on the routes/areas
I know I understand letting people choose if you wanna follow the order but there should be some kind of list of the best way to do it even if its just your friend of the mission you being able to call them and they can tell you like I heard about this one

It's a shame the shiny noise didn't return, but at least it still shows up visually kind of. I still prefer the sound. I do like that Koraidon's and Miraidon's have to be unlocked by the Titans. I'm assuming the Herba Mystica is fed to them or some kind of soup? to unlock ride features

OMG finally the confirmation I needed, in that case I'll go out and catch a Shroodle now, I thought you would've needed to hunt the specific Tera type but good, cuz I noticed those you catch in the wild are just one or the other of their original types
I definitely am someone who turns off auto save too but this time I am leaving it on because a few days ago while trying to evolve my charcadet into armorouge the game bugged out and got stuck on the evolution screen causing me to have to restart my game and be forced to do over the last two gyms again. So to play the game for the second time it gonna stay on. I’ll turn it off if I find a shiny or something

I explored a lot before actually getting to the school and I am glad I did I found my first shiny which was the pale flamingo. I figured maybe the textures were wigging out on me but decided to check it out and it sparkles ✨.

Adrive, as a nuzlocker what do you make of the Let's Go feature? Should it be banned in hardcore Nuzlockes? What about more casual rules? I mean in theory it means you can level a team, albeit slowly, without any risk as long as you monitor HP. And with auto heal you have an extra layer of protection
So yeah, thoughts?
In the words of the world's best nuzlocker, "Grinding is cringe and cheating is based." In all seriousness though, trainer battles are optional, so you could level to the level cap and head for the objectives. Depends on the kinds of rulesets you like, really.
I've had 2 crashes, playing on the normal switch, both times I was in an area with a lot of pokemon popping in and in my box. Been accessing box near pokemon centers, so far no more issues.
About 30hrs played the moment it launched. Take your time catch everything it's super easy to do this plus Pokedex gives you rewards. Don't stress about difficult encounters if you don't see mon wait it will be easier later down the road

overall im excited to start playing. ive been there for every new pokemon game since like USUM and even though most of the time i didnt get them on release i really enjoyed watching content of them, this is the same as i dont have the game yet but it looks fairly good.
My Pokémon are already lv 35 average and I haven't even started the first gym/challenge yet going East from whatever that city is called I just enjoy searching the overworld for items and rare pokémon. Just use the Let's Go for easy xp/money and you will barely notice the difficulty spike
Also if you have online keep joining Tera raids for xp candies. They help a lot!

Very useful content but could you clarify: Koraidon/Miraidon's stats (and assuming nature) are determined when you first encounter them - can you check which stats/nature they have? Generally try to get a decent nature for legendaries rather than rely on mints - pokemon you can breed im not too worried about
I actually don't know when I can play. All I know is that it takes a few days before the store here gets stocked with, well, any game the past few years (covid restrictions and all), so I might as well check up on other news and hope it doesn't take a toll on my mental health as I crave to play the game.
On the side note- this isn't the only 'new' game I'm playing, as I've recently bought the DLCs for Sw/Sh. A bit late, but hey, just in time to reset my game progress.
Im still level grinding anyway because I just want to beat the game before Christmas, and fill up my dex before February 2023, due to plains of shiny hunting in this game.

I think I got the aDrive bug luck with me because I found a Shiny Scatterbug in my first 2h of playtime. Luckily it was easy to spot because it was hiding in darker grass but still it's quite small and I think Shinys are very much missable in this game simply because they are tiny.

I did NOT know that about the shinies and not being attacked in the Let's Go feature. That's so helpful. Especially, with those Pokémon that are one stupid shade off their originals for their shiny version. 😑
How much time does it take to unlock trading? I have two switches so I usually grind both to unlock trading to get all the starters.
I feel like I’m playing Pokémon Scarlet Zero, “Zero” as in Prequel. I haven’t gotten around to collecting any gym leaders or Team Star Admins but have been ditching school to explore the region and fight Titans. My player character is basically the side character of the main story regarding gym battles but is the MC in this prequel.
My unit would probably be a teen or an adult when it decides to switch to inexperienced pokemon for when it finally starts back up with school and gym battles?
So no audio que for shinies this time? Hope some of the pokemon have a noticeable difference between shinies and normal pokemon. I guess that the auto battle thing could be a good indicator.
Lucky me I getting both so my play through will just be getting the exclusive Pokémon and then trade it to my main game which I take my time.
Do the titans as soon as you can, they unlock your freedom with traveling on the legendary. Like gliding, climbing and swimming.
So grateful for the optimal route to take, I love the open world but without a linear path it can really hinder your enjoyment imo. Hate being too OP for an area in a game like this. Big thanks aDrive💪🏻🐜🐝🐞🦗🕷🦂🦟🕸🦋🐌💪🏻
Surprisingly enough auto-save saved me from losing my first 5?hours of play. It was at the electric gym challenge where you have to check the cameras to find a dude. When first starting it my screen went to the black loading screen, and then never loaded after 15 minutes. So I had to re-launch the game. Thankfully auto save saved right before it happened inside the gym. If it wasn’t for auto leave I would have had to start from the beginning again. I’m just bad at remembering to save.
I'm not gonna watch the rest of this vid until I play my copy! 😤 I bought the u.s digital version, then switched my Nintendo account to an Australian tz, but it still didn't let me play early! 😭

I usually form one team to beat the game and one team to fool around in post game. But with auto battling and the fact all 18 types get representation, I might need to consider raising more than 6 Pokémon in the playthrough…
1. Are the starters “hidden ability locked” until further notice or can you get the Hidden Ability Capsule at some point in your journey (even if it’s after game completion).
2. Do you have to initiate battle to throw a pokeball or can you sneak and throw like in Arceus?
u need to battle to throw a ball and I’m pretty sure the starters are hidden ability locked cause they usually are but I’m not certain
There is a mechanic like legends arceus where if you hit a Pokémon from behind they’re stunned
You can either send ur Pokémon out to do an auto battle or throw a pokeball at the Pokémon to initiate a battle. its all automatic, you don't get to aim like in arceus. Also yes the starts are hidden ability locked.
My only real question is about catching pokemon, I want noibat, he is in a lv 30 zone, can I go catch him right off the bat or do I need to complete some elements in order to catch pkmn of certain levels like in arceus?

I was doing the normal gym test. Already had 4 gyms, 3 titans, and 2 star bases, and I bought the rice all from the gym test and my game crashed… to the beginning. The auto save didn’t work…
I don't think I have ever seen a Pokémon consistently remain by a player's side in the open areas. Is that because they lag behind you that far or is it because your Pokémon only come out during let's go battles?
Question, to play in multi-player does your friend need to have the Nintendo online thing? Or could they join if they are connected to the same wifi as you?
What about trading pokemon? How far in do you have to play before you can begin trading pokemon to get those version exclusives?

I saw a shiny hoppip and it was too far away and too high up to battle. This was less than 3 hours into the game. I really wish I knew saving would give me another chance.

I figured this would be a good place to ask do the wild pokemon level scale like the wild area in pokemon sword and sheild or are they always tha same level range? I would like to know as this factor can change alot of how im going to play the game. Google serches only talk about the stories lack of level scaling.
Why recommend turning OFF autosave with the fear of “losing data” as the reasoning? It doesn’t need to be on for everyone, but you’re more at risk of losing a significant amount of progress if your game crashes without autosave on. It just comes down to personal preference.
I really wished it had a sound queue for shiny pokemon like LA

Yea getting a good nature is gonna suck! Fuecoco! Look out for Rash/Modest/Mild/Naive Nature! Naive nature raises speed, lowers special defense!
I'll only try for a nature that doesn't hinder the stats I'll be using the most, including neutral ones... there will be Mints to fix natures later.
