For Pokémon dlc I pick the first Pokémon I see in the wild and catch it, then start a new party with what I find in the new area.

Yea I try my hardest to make it hard on myself by only using candies I earn in the dlc so it makes raids more meaningful to do for some exp boosts
@@Jimmydoubleshoesthe same for me, I don’t really like using candies at all really. I wish the pokemon weren’t scaled so I could raise them properly and not have them level 55+ with good moves already and evolve at the next level
I'm definitely super energized and excited for a new adventure! I've been working to get shiny versions of some of my team already and I've decided that I'm starting completely from scratch with my team. I mean, sure I was tempted to go with the team who have been with me since the very beginning of my journey, but hey, going with a new team is gonna be real fun. My champion team can take some time to relax after going through so many adventures already with all the shiny hunts I've been doing. 😊 I can say I'm going to take my partner, Willow, my hisuian typhlosion with me into this as well as 3 others. Leaving 2 more spaces for a slot to experience new pokemon. I never had any qualms about the level scaling in Sword and Shield and I really enjoyed exploring the big fun places it had to offer. It was fun having to start with a low level pokwnon then breeze through it with high leveled pokenon too.
I can tell the Teal Mask is gonna be beautiful to explore so I definitely can't wait to have a new adventure!
I hope they added a Sound/VIsual effect for shiny pokemon in the wild .... getting fed up with all the shinies I've missed, it would definitely help us colourblind shiny hunters or people with short attention spans. Anyways looking forward to this dlc!!
it's gonna be horrible to shiny hunt a cutiefly, with how small they are.
As someone whose also colorblind I feel this. I also hope that the new legendaries aren't shiny locked but considering how lame they've been I'm assuming they will be...

I can confirm they haven't, I have eye problems I can't be looking for a 3cm eye color difference, why was it so hard to add the sound, not even an animation just a sound

I personally like when things aren't level scaled right. I had fun with it when I went to the crown tundra and like level 15 then did the dynamax adventure to get a crazy high level pokemon and breeze through the game. Obviously I had already beaten the game like 5-6 times already at that point, but sometimes it's fun to do something different and stupid.
How the heck did you beat Peony and even get all the Pokémon with Level 15 pokemon
@@kingdoingstuff You don't, you just lose. One of the few battles you can just lose and not blackout in
@@kingdoingstuff you don’t need to beat him. If you lose, it lets you keep going. In the dynamax adventure they give you Pokémon to use so you don’t need high level Pokémon to get it.

I'm bringing a new team for the DLC. They are all in their 60s. Figured it'd be a bit scaled like the Isle of Armor, so I think 60 is a decent level as even the Pokes in Area 0 are about that too. Hoping to have tons of fun

I’ve caught all the returning Pokémon for this part of the DLC! That way I can just dump them in there once I get the Kitakami Pokédex and the Pokémon Home maintenance is complete!
Your right about taking your time playing the dlc, one thing i know is that almost everyone plays trough it really fast and then get mad because it wasn’t good or not enough, anyways have fun
Has anyone noticed the fact that the new legendaries and ogrepon strike a major resemblance to the story of momotaro? I would not be surprised if we see a momataro story for ogrepon in the teal mask.
I have actually prepared a new team to do the DLC with, a new safe file as well. Planning for my team to have these:
Hisuian tyhplosion
Hisuian lilligant
Gliscor (new in dlc)
Clawitzer
Magnezone (to be replaced with archeludon)
And fenzandippity
Pretty excited to use this team as i didn't have a chance to use most of these mons on my original playthrough
4:40 ive got a few level 60s with a shiny applin and one free space to put in a furtet.
So glad I live in the West Coast US and normally work the night shift because I have the day off so I can just stay up all night playing.
As I am watching this video, I currently have turbo-A active on my controller farming the ace tournament in preparation for the DLC. I will say I am intrigued to see what new clothes will apparently be available in Kitakami (and if the happi-style outfit can have its color scheme changed too, that would be appreciated, but given the precedent of the uniforms in SV not expecting that much customization)
I'm looking forward to the bugs, glitches, and the unknown.
I feel like applin will also be in the dlc area so I will wait till after the dlc release before I shiny hunt it.
I'm actually starting a new scarlet playthrough with a ghost type team just for the teal mask

Wow, im glad that U told me this bcs imma use my league team, which is abt lvl 70 cuz i dropped them after I beat the game, crown tundra and isle of armour I swept with lvl 100’s, but thanks for the great ideas
I doubt anyone will see this but there is a spot on the map where a set applin spawns, i cant remember where but iirc its a small divot in the ground with 2 trees and 2-3 applin ALWAYS spawn there. def look it up to find where but the spot does exist.

I always level up my Pokémon way higher than the gym or trainer they’re facing so I don’t mind if it’s not level scales! Going through everything with my level 100 Baxcalibur :D

Same i mean i may add one of the poison type mons to my squad to make things more interesting but i’m fine with going through with a squad of 100’s it’ll be a fun time nonetheless
There r guides to hunt applin and they let u afk for 30 mins, till it messes up, or there is a shiny in the tree. I got 4 shiny applins in 5 hrs so it's easy to do

Plus in addition i hatched my shiny Applin last night and FOR that reason as well.
So overall I am excited for this and have my shiny Applin prepared for when the time comes.
9 AM in Japan is 5 PM in Arizona, California and Nevada so it won't be that late for me.
It's okay for the way they level scale, itsnot meant to only use a couple teams. Use the new Pokemon, it might be like sword and shield, beginning of story, level 10, if started after beating the game maybe 35 and after ace tournament maybe 55 to 65 again. Use new Pokemon, new evolutions, complete the docs Pokedex
I heard somewhere that you can start the dlc at the end of the game or before but if you do before than the level of wild Pokemon is 10-20 is that true?

I've bred Pokemon lvls 40-60, that way I can adjust accordingly for a challenging playthrough but with the heavy hitters on the bench in case they're needed lol

I’m definitely going to take my time adventuring throughout the DLC! Whenever I get a new game to play I want to take my time and explore the areas. So I won’t be finishing the game to soon
cause you did mention the moves thing i Nanna share something i found interesting so i watched Foo´s vid on moves returning and he speculated that all the moves that were in Isle of Armor are coming to the Teal Mask now obviously Grassy Glide and Burning Jealousey have been mentioned in leaks but what if the others came as well i think that would be cool doubt they´ll give us that many new moves though except for the guardians and the noter new mons coming
Pre build a team or part of a team from out of the egg if possible and stick up on EXP shards level them to a equal level to whateven the DLC is. Personally I'm going to trying and use pokemon exclusive to the DLC area but that's just me

I wish I could’ve chosen to level scale, I don’t use the same team and constantly switch my mons to get some more variety and prevent overleveling. I really don’t like having a level 55 Sewaddle when I first spawn in with powerful moves already, it fully evolves in two levels too which doesn’t feel as good as training them up from low levels

I have a secound account on my switch, ive completed the pokedex on my main account for both versions, then on my secound account has one game that is 7 things to do before elte 4, and then one that litterally isnt at a point to be able to go to DLC yet
Honestly, something I personally tend to forget to do is take it slow, thanks for reminding me to enjoy the DLC. I'm gonna take your advice and start a new team. (I may even add a shiny Dipplin, who knows ;D) Thanks again ADrive, and hope to see some more awesome videos!

I'm really excited to see some more past Pokémon, especially ones that haven't been featured as often in the past few games! Luckily I no longer have to wait for my two favorite mons to be in the same game since that issue was fixed with the release of the Paldea games haha, but I still have other Pokémon I'd love to see. I got pretty excited seeing Trevenant!

As a paranoid person, I’m mainly worried that my save data will be erased due to the bug that was earlier this year (which made me not open the game for a month) and I always buy the DLC when it comes out of when I have time from work or other things (so most likely Friday)

@@MikeTheEnforcer there was a glitch/bug going around in March-April that deleted some peoples data when they preordered the DLC or connected pokemon go, and although it was rare and the pokemon company said it was fixed…..I’m still a little worried😅

DLC drops in a few hours and instead of playing it I'm going to be blitzing through my Japanese Emerald as fast as I can so I can do the Pomeg Glitch to get to Faraway Island, RNG a shiny Mew in a Dive Ball and transfer it up to SV in time to do the Mewtwo raid with him and get the Mightiest Mark.
Should have done it years ago, but it wasn't time sensitive until now so I procrastinated.

It just came to my attention you need to beat teal mask to access Indigo disk it’s not like in SWSH where you can access both right away assuming they were released ofcourse so taking our time in teal mask would make the most sense it seems
In both parts of this one they have the same characters, so I think they’ll be connected

I just got a applin outbreak 5 mins ago I killed 5 and there was my green apple I wanted to get it humungo but ill take a free shiny saving my herba for other new mons
They should start giving in game enemies max lvl and competitive ivs and evs. Or lvl scale wit max stats
Competitive IV and EV is only meant for those who participate in the tournaments or high ranked battles, not story battles, plus not everyone has time to completely ev and IV train their Pokémon
