One was killed at a lower hight and he was less powerful but the other warden was killed at the top and he was a more powerful warden. Edit: typically we perceive a higher floor in an office building or hotel to be held by a more powerful individual and the lower floors are for people with less power. So that’s why I made the connection here

I clicked on this fully expecting another average Minecraft 1000 players video but the video production, music selection, your storytelling, the balance of cinematic emotional shots and real time interviews was so good. This one video made me want to become apart of the next event. I could literally keep going that’s how good it was dude seriously. I’ve never been so invested in something so quickly
I felt like I was watching a movie that was randomly made and not even announced in trailers, but was actually rated A+. This was REALLY GOOD. Drama and plot twists everywhere. Loved it.
The way Elanuelo can go from being a simple background character to this, to being an amazing dictator in the most recent one is insane and I honestly love it, reusing the same lovable people but also giving newer people a chance to take the spotlights, so good.
This was like a full-on TV show. Betrayals, secret plots, backstabbing, consequences, rebellions, callbacks, and groups forming everywhere! If this was an actual show, I feel it would definitely win at least a few awards.
Solev’s role in this experiment made me low key depressed ngl. After his predecessor died, he had to set an example and send a message to not underestimate the wardens and tried to increase security by imposing other strict rules in hopes of bringing order and peace to the prison. He was bound by so many factors that one way or another he would have become the villain in the end. The way he died in the end is just down right tragic, seeing everything he cared for crumble to ashes in front of his eyes and getting sent into the depths of despair and finally dying by the hands of the man that made Solev a devil.

I came here after watching the 1000 civilization experiment. I didn’t watch the video. I just saw Elanuelo in the first 40 seconds and I have to say, the idea of him possibly being just a regular player in this video is somehow both beautiful and terrifying to me. Crazy to see all the returning characters like Solev, StormingHell and LegacyAN. Its clear how much effort Ish puts into his sims by how long it takes for each to upload, all the unique mechanics, and maps, the player density, and even the high video quality! Edit: wow this blew up lol, even got a heart from Ish himself! Also this wasnt meant to be a comprehensive list of all the big names, just a compliment lol.

To be honest, this should have a Netflix adaptation for how good this was, so many betrayals and funny moments like solevs death and the reception getting overwhelmed
i appreciate elanuelo's hustle. he was only in for jaywalking, and went on to become the leader of an entire prison gang. just goes to show that you can do anything you put your mind to.
this literally felt like a real movie, there were plot-twists that i not at all expected, actually sad scenarios, and so much more! I enjoyed watching this, and I am now going to bingewatch this entire channel :)
Something worth remembering is that while Jaws was the warden, the funding variable wasn’t a problem yet. We know his patrons liked his idea of rehabilitation because ish never mentioned it until Solev became warden. We may never know if Jaws initiated his redemption plan out of the kindness of his heart or as a way to appease the funders, but one thing is for certain. Jaws is the civilizations version of Charlie from Hazbin Hotel
This was honestly such an emotional story - I got chills when I realised Solev died in the exact same place as the previous warden, in the exact same way. Literally an AMAZING simulation. A little suggestion of my own if I may. This seems like a bit of a stretch but I think a hunger games type of simulation would be amazing - Let's say 2000 people? Might be hard to run that, but then there's like 100 people per district, 600 peace keepers (50 per district) and then 200 people live in the capital - of those 200 people there'd be the president, cabinet, etc.
I think another amazing thing is that the first warden kept the hatch down symbolizing his trust in the the prisoners and his guard and his idea of helping everyone. However when the second warden took control he closed the hatches symbolizing his lack of trust and his idea of justice over people. Both of these traits however lead to their downfall. It's also interesting to note who they were killed by. The first warden was kill by who they were trying to help. And the second warden was killed by by who he was trying to impress too keep the prison running. So in a way you can say both wardens were killed by their ideas. (Also you'd be surprised by how much symbolism is made on accident. Iike I'm not 100% the hatch thing was on purpose or not but it doesn't change that it is a cool peice of symbolism).
The cinematic atmosphere, the drama, the secrets. The way the players acted liked real humans than artificial characters. How Solev actually cared. But alas, his death was from his savior. The friendships created, the colonies bonded. Beautiful.

How tf did I get emotional and so attached to a minecraft player in 30 minutes. ItzzEnder was a hero. He liberated the ones who in return honored him and freed everyone else. The other two guards who defected with the nurses are goated. 10/10 would watch a million times again.

This is probably the best minecraft storytelling I've ever seen. I never thought I would experience so much emotion for watching fricking minecraft. The music choices were just god-tier and very well placed. Giving groups and characters time to stand out, I even shed a tear for ItzzEnder by the way his final scenes were carried out, probably my favorite character in this video. I'm just...wow. I can't even describe what I just watched besides phenomenal. This video has to at least win some sort of award man.
truly a masterpiece. I would even say that this has been more entertaining to watch then some movies and tv shows that have been coming out. the emotion present throughout it. the twist of the first Warden dying. The fight between those who remained loyal fully believing in their leadership and in order, against those that wanted freedom from the oppression forced on them. And even the hopelessness that Solev expressed knowing that there was no way out of these unreasonable demands, and perhaps even guilt at what he had done to preserve the order, all for nothing. This was a true masterpiece and I hope that ish comes out with another one just as good if not better soon!

I came here expecting a cops and robbers type game. What I got was a cinematic masterpiece with a story, characters, and music all brought together in a fashion that would bring grown men to tears.
I love how the first warden died bravely willingly letting a “former” violent individual behind him while solev died alone a coward with only his killer with him whilst the prison fell.
The betrayal of both wardens was so emotionally packed; the slow-mo, heart-wrenching music, players watching as they both fell to their deaths, the players' death message, and the killing of the perpetrator. This video was so well put together, and seeing what talented people can accomplish together is an honour to be part of. Please keep up the wonderful work and I hope to see more incredible videos from you in the future.
Love the symbolism of 13:40 With the previous warden, the open trapdoors were a sign of vulnerability. He was willing to stand on the edge out of the trust that there’s good in the prisoners With the new warden, them closing the trapdoors represents the opposite. District, scrutiny, strictness, etc etc.
The music at the end was perfect, it depicts chaos was ensuing in the prison and the inevitability of chaos, loyal guards desperately fighting defectors, escapees and prisoners, but in the end we all knew the outcome, thanks Solev.
Solev was on the right track imo tho, rehabilitation over punishment didn't work at all, it got Jaw killed, it gave too much room to the prisoners, what Solev should have done was to go easy first, and apply force if necessary
Solev's death was quite poetic. He could've fought back and died with a bang, but he chose to accept his fate. Aware that he and his guards screwed up, the prison is in absolutle chaos and the prisoners along with defected guards were rapidly approaching his office from below. So he decided to punish himself, as there was no point in fighting a battle he couldn't win, nor his inevitable death be avoided.
This had more of an emotional hold on me than anything Netflix could ever simulate over an entire shows' series, and somehow in just 33 minutes you've mastered what some shows wish they could do in 4 seasons.

I’ve never seen a more emotional and string tugging at the heart Minecraft video. The music, the editing, the participants.. everything was just so amazing
What wasn't included in this video: Solev's Milita. Throughout the days, a small group of us were building statues dedicated to the Warden(s). On Day 4, we gained enough favor with Warden Solev that he selected us for a secret mission on Day 5. At the start of Day 5, he gave us enchanted armor and we became Solev's Militia, working with him and the guards. When the first prisoners started breaking out with defective guards in the main hall, we were nearly completely wiped out in an event called the "Militia Massacre". Myself and another survivor, Ventunya, escaped to the infirmary/nurse's quarters and defended it until we were overrun and forced to escape. We survived and escaped in the boat at the very end, carrying on the memory of our fallen Militia brethren.
i still remember it like it was yesterday. Me, you, AyOhKay, Hex, Wibbix, sapphire ocelot, suchoff and gallacticor were prepared to hold the line. but the horde...just kept growing. we had no choice but to abandon our posts. we fled to the infirmary, to help them hold but even that was overrun. luckily, the prisoners were in such a blind rage, we in our iron armor looked like fellow prisoners to them and so we were ignored. we had just been able to get our bearings when all of a sudden a massive announcement was made telling us all to run for the boats. it was a tough order, but me and Alan managed to escape without causing a scene. I'll never forget our friends sacrifices. and to Yoshi, who had defended our statue till the bitter end. rest in peace to all.
The clans brought the cruelty upon themselves and pointed the finger at the new Warden. The clans were to blame for the changes and many innocent guards and prisoners were caught in the onslaught. The moment Jaw died was when the state of the prison became hellish for the Guards and Inmates.

that would be because it wasn't an experiment; it was clearly planned -- the islands one was better because it was more naturalistic and so didn't have really obvious forced story beats. It's funny that what made that one a good experiment also made it a good story, and what made this a bad experiment made it a bad story -- so yeah it's a false dichotomy I guess.

Being a guard was a really fun and unique experience, even though I wasn't able to stay through the entire thing. And since I saw no one talk about this, the fps drops are huge when everyone is in the same spot, like thousands to double digits huge 👀

The fact that, in a way Jawunleashed’s goal was realized in the end just makes for me. The man wanted to rehabilitate his prisoners and by the end they choose to fight Tyranny rather than each other.

It's crazy to me I started playing Minecraft in 2014 and I watched Survival Games, UHC's, and SMP's. This is a new era of MC content and I respect everyone who was a part of this video. From the guards, to the builders, to the players, and to the overall video from Ish. MC content has come so far this was absolutely incredible and felt like a movie.

It's an entire story. It's not an attempted scenario where people don't care, guards grief and just do whatever they want, prisoners are just murdering each other and messing around, etc. It's an entire power structure, where everyone is taking the game seriously. It's a story that develops and evolves with personality, conflicting ideologies between figures of authority, convergence and interaction between the countless prisoners. There are gangs, groups both peaceful and violent, strategies undertaken by guards and the warden, and entire routine and schedule, and it's all so cohesive and brilliant. The story develops like a movie as events take place and countless minds clash and influence each other. It's just really well done, and everyone understood the mission and followed through. There wasn't that one guard just helping people escape and destroying everything, or the warden not caring and killing people with a dumbed down plan. Everyone is intuitive and playing realistically, especially with the dynamic of permanent death. The warden has a complex plan and moral ideals he follows, with a right hand man with different policies. There's alliances, betrayal, action, drama, fun, happiness and sadness; the whole works. I agree with your comment wholeheartedly that this video is too great for words. It's like a real prison, except no real life consequences and no actual lives being played with and manipulated, a sad undertone of reality following around because real people have ruined their lives and ended up in prison. Bravo to these guys and everyone who participated.
This was genuinely a masterpiece. With the music, the plot twists, the dramatic deaths. The alliances and escapes, the strategies both the guards and inmates form, it's perfect. The scene where the original warden gets hit off the stand was amazing, such a plot twist I was not ready for. The secrets Solev kept knowing the original wardens methods wouldn't work. The ending scene. I can't even believe it.
i really like those kind of videos and i waited for a prison version. Its very well done and they put so much effort in it. Still they didnt rly follow protocols and there were just too many rooms and inmates for 100 guards. For example letting prisoners mine outside and bring stuff inside feels a bit ridiculous

I came here after watching the 1000 civilization experiment. I didn’t watch the video. I just saw Elanuelo in the first 40 seconds and I have to say, the idea of him possibly being just a regular player in this video is somehow both beautiful and terrifying to me. How, in a story, a character can be the main one, but in another, they can be regular background folk.

Something worth remembering is that while Jaws was the warden, the funding variable wasn’t a problem yet. We know his patrons liked his idea of rehabilitation because ish never mentioned it until Solev became warden. We may never know if Jaws initiated his redemption plan out of the kindness of his heart or as a way to appease the funders, but one thing is for certain. Jaws is the civilizations version of Charlie from Hazbin Hotel
This was honestly such an emotional story - I got chills when I realised Solev died in the exact same place as the previous warden, in the exact same way. Literally an AMAZING simulation.
A little suggestion of my own if I may.
This seems like a bit of a stretch but I think a hunger games type of simulation would be amazing - Let's say 2000 people? Might be hard to run that, but then there's like 100 people per district, 600 peace keepers (50 per district) and then 200 people live in the capital - of those 200 people there'd be the president, cabinet, etc.
Recently read a cool book eh?
I think another amazing thing is that the first warden kept the hatch down symbolizing his trust in the the prisoners and his guard and his idea of helping everyone. However when the second warden took control he closed the hatches symbolizing his lack of trust and his idea of justice over people. Both of these traits however lead to their downfall.
It's also interesting to note who they were killed by. The first warden was kill by who they were trying to help. And the second warden was killed by by who he was trying to impress too keep the prison running. So in a way you can say both wardens were killed by their ideas. (Also you'd be surprised by how much symbolism is made on accident. Iike I'm not 100% the hatch thing was on purpose or not but it doesn't change that it is a cool peice of symbolism).

How tf did I get emotional and so attached to a minecraft player in 30 minutes. ItzzEnder was a hero. He liberated the ones who in return honored him and freed everyone else. The other two guards who defected with the nurses are goated. 10/10 would watch a million times again.

This is probably the best minecraft storytelling I've ever seen. I never thought I would experience so much emotion for watching fricking minecraft. The music choices were just god-tier and very well placed. Giving groups and characters time to stand out, I even shed a tear for ItzzEnder by the way his final scenes were carried out, probably my favorite character in this video. I'm just...wow. I can't even describe what I just watched besides phenomenal. This video has to at least win some sort of award man.

truly a masterpiece. I would even say that this has been more entertaining to watch then some movies and tv shows that have been coming out. the emotion present throughout it. the twist of the first Warden dying. The fight between those who remained loyal fully believing in their leadership and in order, against those that wanted freedom from the oppression forced on them. And even the hopelessness that Solev expressed knowing that there was no way out of these unreasonable demands, and perhaps even guilt at what he had done to preserve the order, all for nothing. This was a true masterpiece and I hope that ish comes out with another one just as good if not better soon!

I love how the first warden died bravely willingly letting a “former” violent individual behind him while solev died alone a coward with only his killer with him whilst the prison fell.
The betrayal of both wardens was so emotionally packed; the slow-mo, heart-wrenching music, players watching as they both fell to their deaths, the players' death message, and the killing of the perpetrator. This video was so well put together, and seeing what talented people can accomplish together is an honour to be part of. Please keep up the wonderful work and I hope to see more incredible videos from you in the future.

Solev's death was quite poetic. He could've fought back and died with a bang, but he chose to accept his fate.
Aware that he and his guards screwed up, the prison is in absolutle chaos and the prisoners along with defected guards were rapidly approaching his office from below.
So he decided to punish himself, as there was no point in fighting a battle he couldn't win, nor his inevitable death be avoided.

What wasn't included in this video: Solev's Milita.
Throughout the days, a small group of us were building statues dedicated to the Warden(s). On Day 4, we gained enough favor with Warden Solev that he selected us for a secret mission on Day 5. At the start of Day 5, he gave us enchanted armor and we became Solev's Militia, working with him and the guards. When the first prisoners started breaking out with defective guards in the main hall, we were nearly completely wiped out in an event called the "Militia Massacre". Myself and another survivor, Ventunya, escaped to the infirmary/nurse's quarters and defended it until we were overrun and forced to escape. We survived and escaped in the boat at the very end, carrying on the memory of our fallen Militia brethren.

Me, you, AyOhKay, Hex, Wibbix, sapphire ocelot, suchoff and gallacticor were prepared to hold the line. but the horde...just kept growing. we had no choice but to abandon our posts. we fled to the infirmary, to help them hold but even that was overrun. luckily, the prisoners were in such a blind rage, we in our iron armor looked like fellow prisoners to them and so we were ignored.
we had just been able to get our bearings when all of a sudden a massive announcement was made telling us all to run for the boats. it was a tough order, but me and Alan managed to escape without causing a scene. I'll never forget our friends sacrifices. and to Yoshi, who had defended our statue till the bitter end. rest in peace to all.

that would be because it wasn't an experiment; it was clearly planned -- the islands one was better because it was more naturalistic and so didn't have really obvious forced story beats. It's funny that what made that one a good experiment also made it a good story, and what made this a bad experiment made it a bad story -- so yeah it's a false dichotomy I guess.

the way that solev met the same fate as the first warden was absolutly sad. the way the escapees said rehabilition over punishment as they stormed the prison showed they loved the 1st warden.

It's crazy to me I started playing Minecraft in 2014 and I watched Survival Games, UHC's, and SMP's.
This is a new era of MC content and I respect everyone who was a part of this video. From the guards, to the builders, to the players, and to the overall video from Ish. MC content has come so far this was absolutely incredible and felt like a movie.

It's so beautiful to see when the prisons chose peace in each other than fight when they were divided into teams and it's even more beautiful to see some or most guards standing with them and helping them get their freedom.

It's an entire story. It's not an attempted scenario where people don't care, guards grief and just do whatever they want, prisoners are just murdering each other and messing around, etc. It's an entire power structure, where everyone is taking the game seriously. It's a story that develops and evolves with personality, conflicting ideologies between figures of authority, convergence and interaction between the countless prisoners. There are gangs, groups both peaceful and violent, strategies undertaken by guards and the warden, and entire routine and schedule, and it's all so cohesive and brilliant. The story develops like a movie as events take place and countless minds clash and influence each other. It's just really well done, and everyone understood the mission and followed through. There wasn't that one guard just helping people escape and destroying everything, or the warden not caring and killing people with a dumbed down plan. Everyone is intuitive and playing realistically, especially with the dynamic of permanent death. The warden has a complex plan and moral ideals he follows, with a right hand man with different policies. There's alliances, betrayal, action, drama, fun, happiness and sadness; the whole works. I agree with your comment wholeheartedly that this video is too great for words. It's like a real prison, except no real life consequences and no actual lives being played with and manipulated, a sad undertone of reality following around because real people have ruined their lives and ended up in prison. Bravo to these guys and everyone who participated.

I rewatch this video every year. It’s my favorite one ever in Minecraft.
This was genuinely a masterpiece. With the music, the plot twists, the dramatic deaths. The alliances and escapes, the strategies both the guards and inmates form, it's perfect. The scene where the original warden gets hit off the stand was amazing, such a plot twist I was not ready for. The secrets Solev kept knowing the original wardens methods wouldn't work. The ending scene. I can't even believe it.

i really like those kind of videos and i waited for a prison version. Its very well done and they put so much effort in it. Still they didnt rly follow protocols and there were just too many rooms and inmates for 100 guards. For example letting prisoners mine outside and bring stuff inside feels a bit ridiculous

The contrast between the two warden's deaths was interesting. They had different strategies, but in the end, both were pushed from a cliff.
