Must admit, your 'Longboarding Bananza' video is still my favourite! Great effort on the video, thinking of joining the Navy myself in the near future.
Thank you very much I've signed up for the Royal Navy and have got my recruitment test in a couple of days, your videos have helped me out a lot with physical and mentally preparing myself for the beginning of my career
thanks for uploading these videos callum im thinking about joining the navy as soon as i finish school and the things youve spoken about have interested me alot more so thanks
I have my formal interview for Royal New Zealand Airforce or RNZAF. BTW we we go through all the process you do the interview after you pass everything
I need to start getting fit for this because I’m not very fit (skinny and unfit) and I want to enlist when I leave academy which I will be eighteen years then so yeah respect to you.
yeah u have gotten big. now am a new comer and I have been following ur vedios am now yet to do my medical my one and one with the medical officer. And after that is suppose to be my traning so what's it's about in full the first phase training?
Got my interview coming up in 2 weeks for AT and wondering if you need to know all the different organisations, operations, ship types and ship names within the RN? Glad ur back with the vids and keep them coming, cheers
Leigh Barry I did my interview with only a basic knowledge of what the navy's capabilities where and what they were up to so I would recommend brushing up on current affairs ;)
How was the food, wanting to go in as a chef. Just finishing my apprenticeship atm (18) hopefully this will give me some pre experience so I won’t drown as much haha I love to cook, and cook for a lot of people z
I am currently 15 coming up to 16 and want to join the Navy as the weapons technician and was wondering if the training was worthwhile and how easy is it to be successful and not fail training
Ive been trying to get in so i just did another application finally not late or passed due asked for sponsor scholorship i heard they might take me as as reserve hopefully
Hey Callum, glad to hear your experience has been such a positive one overall. Very encouraging to hear as I am now approaching my medical, which leads me to my question. In your experience have you come across or heard of anyone passing the medical that had been on anti-depressants previously? I have been off them for a year and took them for less than a year, I believe I was misdiagnosed as I was grieving for a loss at the time. My recruitment officer has encouraged me to go for it anyway and said only the medical officer can make that decision. Any thoughts or wisdom would be much appreciated. Al the best. Dan.
Daniel Anthony Hello and thanks for watching! Im no way medically qualified to answer this question but i suppose if you approached it with alot of positivity the MO will have no doubt that you will be fine! I cant really give you more advice than that im afraid but yeah Positive Mental Attitude towards everything doesnt go unmissed
Callum Frogley appreciate the swift response Callum, I'll do exactly that, go in with a positive attitude and hope the best! It's out of my hands really so not much worth in worrying about it. Can you remember how long the medical process took, from completing the assessment, being declared medically fit and then beginning the next stage? I've got my eye test later this week which should be a doddle. Cheers
Applied as a Pilot. Got my tests coming up in a fortnight, practising them while timing myself. Do you have any other tips for the tests, if not no worries!
Callum Frogley well yea but it doesn't show or talk about when your not at sea ie at base. Doesn't show stuff like sore leave and doesn't talk about stuff like accommodation, daily training and a doesn't talk about quality of life. I believe that you could become quite a popular RUclipsr if you give honest accounts of everything about the navy. People want information on the UK royal navy but there isnt any youtubers out there who do ( apart from royal navy youtube channel but they are a bit bias) it thats why your videos are quite popular. Even if you dont take my advice i hope you do well and get more subscribers.
@@helloitsme1785 thank you for the advice but I cant talk about things where it isnt my place. My experience in the navy has been excellent and it is about how the individual interprets it. unfortunately you wont have a proper opinion until you have been part of it.
Callum Frogley can't you give your personal opinion on the matter though and just disclaim it beforehand I find it quite odd that there are no royal navy youtubers as they have them in the USA, Australia and that. Is it a rule or something just wondering.
@@helloitsme1785 im not sure what the rules are regarding what i can say online as there are no set guide lines. I know the RN are building a larger social media presence and have been recently publishing lots of videos online etc. I would love to do a 'day in the life' video as it would be informative but i would have to gain the permissions to do so....possibly something i could work towards!
I've got my recruitment test on Monday and could use some help with how to revise for numerical comprehension considering I've failed it once. Thankyou in advance
Joseph Armitage all I can say is keep practising under pressure as it is the time limit that throws people off...get used to the stress and you'll overcome your problem. hope this helps
I know this is an old video but what sights did you see while on the high seas? I'm thinking about joining the navy but just turned 29 a few days ago =/ Did you get to see many countries and did u make any money?
Hi mate, just started watching your vids, they are rly interesting. I am 14, i want to join once i leave school. I live in france at the moment, would that caise any problems? (i am still a british citizen) do you know what training/ fitness i need to be a chef? Thanks

Got a couple of questions for you do you get paid at hms Raleigh and phase 2 training and when you pass do they give you a room with wifi and a room that you could take for example a desktop in lol thanks for update. Stay for another 4 years
brandon ford yes you do get paid during your training and in the second phase of training there is Wi-Fi but I would recommend a laptop rather then desktop as you will be sharing with others still
I'm a bit nervous for the treadmill and swim test. I'm from the Caribbean so I can only email AFCO. Any advice for the treadmill, swimming and interview. Going as a Chef. I'm aiming to pass but I don't know Which one is Better, submarine or surface fleet.
Raiden Gage Im from the Caribbean too, St. Vincent and the grenadines. Joining as a naval nurse. I am now cleared to come to UK to do other tests. Keep practicing you'll get there. Stay positive. Its all in the mind.
+Michael Cozier I can't tell you anymore about training than I have already and the questions in the interview are most just really casual. Obviously I would recommend keeping a professional appearance but don't expect to much
What type of jobs can you have in the navy& what's yours? I was thinking of joining the navy in about 2 years when I'm 20 - I'm still in college right now and was hoping to go to uni with the navy and have a medical job
Alexis R well there are medical jobs available in the navy if that's the path you wish to take! there are lots of others though including communications, engineering and all sorts of logistical jobs too
+FM - Tech it was a little daunting at first but as you are all "in the same boat" age becomes distant and you all start to share the same style of communication
Nice to see you again. Your videos helped me pass my interview a few months ago :)

Valentino Zoboli I’m actually going to Raleigh tomorrow! Haha goes so fast. Came to check this video as this is where it all started for me
GAVIES where are you now?
Only discovered your channel, now in 2020, I’m 32 and thinking I need to do something, am I too old to think about joining the Navy?
Yes you can join from ages 16-39 depending on what role you choose :)
You need to do a day in the life of someone in the royal navy what it's like and stuff like that we don't have any content like that on youtube
There are plenty of tv shows like warship on channel 5 that will shows what life is like onboard

Much more so than anywhere else id say haha
I was just wondering how long did your application process take from applying online to getting your start date for HMS Raleigh?
+Hollie Senekal 6 months for my entire recruitment!
Can you use your phone at raleigh during basic training? Do they provide wifi?
No WiFi when I was there. Yes you can use you phone only during the set evening periods.
Can you do a video on how the barracks are?
Not really bro but you can find out loads of info on the Royal Navy website online :)

Callum Frogley could you make a video explaining the ranks and stuff?
Alexis R I guess so if that would make it easier
Alexis R the navy can put you through scholarships at uni if the career path you choose requires you to do so
Were you class leader then?
Tristram Randall yes i was DCL in phase 1
I know it’s a morbid question but do you know of anyone who died in the Royal Navy ?
Will it be alright for an British of asian decent to join? Or will it be too racist because I have always wanted to join the royal navy or marines
+MONSTERDRINKK it should be absolutely fine for you to join :)
what's the pay like
Enrico Zagnoli you would have to talk to your career manager about pay regarding your specific branch
Callum Frogley ok thanks i would like to join weapons engineers
Enrico Zagnoli ok awesome i dont youtibe is the best place to discuss pay but you will find references to wages online and in the careers office
thanks
