Also got to commend you on the fact that after you fixed yours and put it back together you were willing to make a video of it and go through the entire process again. That's great thanks
This worked for me too, thank you so much!! I also loved the kiddo noise in the background and finding a lego stuck in the seat; most Suburban owners can relate to that since its probably why we own one, lol :)
Just want to thank you for this you saved me $845.76! It literally cost me 175.00 for the dealership to look at it, and tell me it was a cable and would cost me 845.76 to fix it!
Thank you for making this - successfully fixed year-old issue. Great video! Dealer quote was $900+, we did it in 1 hour due to issue outlined below. As we were finishing the fix, the cable slipped out of its attachment point in the right side "1" lever. Couldn't see hole to reinstall due to angle, requiring removal of interior molding. this was easy once figured out: 1) fold seat in closed position, 2) undo cushion by pulling out of rubber track, 3) push cushion back under seat to access lower molding attachment screw, 4) open seat partway to access higher screw. Easy to put back together.
Thank you for posting this! We have owned our 2012 Suburban for 4 years and have never been able to fold the seat. Fixed it this afternoon with your video! Here's hoping I can put it all back together 😂
Thanks this video was extremely helpful. The right rear seat in my 2011 tahoe was stuck down. I watched this video and figured out what was happening. Not a problem anymore. Thanks again amigo.
He there I have a 2005 Yukon I just got. The rear 50/50 third seat is stuck in the stowed/folded--up position. The 1, 2, and 3 labeled levers...they won't move in any direction. The hooks and brackets do not look rusty or stuck. I have searched for 2 hours for solutions on RUclips and forums and cannot find this exact problem. Also, have you noticed there are no exclusive 2nd Gen Yukon pages on FB? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Does anyone happen to know the part number for that synchronizer cable? I need a new cable, mine is damaged and the 2 different part numbers I found from GM were both incorrect parts.
i had same problem. 1) used a large crescent wrench to get better leverage on latch - adjusted it so it fit over entire mechanism from back and 2) jiggled seat while pulling up on wrench which pushed knob down as in the video/ Good luck!
