Disney was so stupid to want this to be kid friendly. Kids today have no connection to Lizzie McGuire. This should have been for the adults that grew up watching it.
They should've just let it go to Hulu

Same! Disney+ and Disney Channel greenlighted the adult scripts. But one of the big Walt Disney Company bosses saw the episodes and suddenly decided it should be kid-friendly. Hilary and Disney tried to compromise. The cast was very hopeful that it could still work. So they were really shocked with the cancellation. And now they have disneyplusstar (international version of Hulu) for adults: such a stab in the back!
They even called my dad to draw Lizzie McGuire like he did during the first show but he told me they never went through with it, everyone likes Disney, they just need to understand that kids aren’t the only ones that watch Disney

Raven's Home is nothing but 💩💩💩!!! Like I have to question as to how it's even possible that the series is still ongoing. It's not the Raven nor Chelsea we once knew and there is nothing really relative in the formula for the sequel that made the original successful. Plus, the acting in this sequel is hands down the worst acting I've ever seen.
Almost forgot to mention, but they need to fire whoever is in charge of the wardrobe for Raven's Home because they all are wearing complete trash, like where is the fashionista Raven we once knew??😟😟😟

Like I had an ex friend who was in her late 30’s. She was single, divorced, had 2 kids, and had a crazy love life, while she was picking up her kids from school. I’m saying it could work, if Lizzie, has to have kids.

When they announced that the show was coming back when Disney plus got announced I was so excited I couldn’t believe that my childhood show was coming back because it felt like I was reliving my childhood show that I grew up with & now that I’m adult I always wonder where would Lizzie be today & now I’m so disappointed that the reboot is canceled 😣🙁😩😭
I’m been waiting for the moment to happen. When it did happen, my wish was finally granted. Then after a long hiatus they cancelled. I was in major disappointment & upset that it ruined what could have made me happy to be alive.

What movies are 18+? I can only think of marvel and Star Wars with a pg-13 movie. The rest of their content is G. Which is so dumb quite honestly. Disney also owned ABC, it would be nice if we could get some of their other shows on there too, like baby daddy, PLL, etc. they already have a kids version of profiles idk what’s so hard about it. They could be making a lot more money because their current shows aren’t doing well, very toned down audience. Their old shows like Hannah Montana did so well, they need to take a page out of that leaflet and crank stuff up to that level

@@SuperSonicWarrior93 but deadpool isn’t on Disney+, that’s my point. They only have some Pg-13 things on there, which is really only rated like that because of fight scenes. Even the marvel movies aren’t super juicy or anything, it would be like rating the Harry Potter movies 1-7A Pg-13 when they are scary sure, but kids can watch them fine. They produced so many stuff, some that were even well perceived and rated like PLL, but are afraid to come out lol

I’m happy she wanted to keep the integrity of the character instead of trying to do something she didn’t believe in. A lot of the reboots have turned out horrible and taint their franchise imo
A lot of networks nowadays are really fighting tooth and nail to keep kid shows “kid friendly only.” Back in the day, it was normal to sneak adult jokes and themes inside of kid shows in order to attract cross generational audiences..... for some reason a lot of networks don’t want to do that anymore.

and they simply announced they arent working with her anymore in the future by confirming they are not signing a new contract with her

so when The Mandalorian Season 2 ended she stopped working for them
as far as I know she also had not signed a contract for that spin off show she was going to get either , disney never officially announced it either

So many people were pumped about this, so for them to announce a revival, shoot a couple episodes and then cancel it is just sad. super annoying.
Sounds like the higherups wanted to turn this show into another Raven's Home or Girl Meets World but the creators wanted a more mature story with little to no kids (at first anyway) so Disney was just like "Nah, never mind no show."
It's a shame though, this showed so much potential just from how different the premise was to the other spin-offs.

Seriously, if the whole show got cancelled 'cause of an earring on a bed that was meant to make the viewer understand Lizzie was cheated on, at the start of the show...I mean, that's reason enough to cancel an entire show? With already re-built sets and scripts and hundreds of people on the job already? You don't even have to mention the word "sex" anywhere in the script for it to be understandable to older viewers... I mean, she's nearing 30, what do they expect us to believe she does all the time?? Still have a platonic crush on Ethan Craft?? I'll keep the hope something might still be done about this in the future, but I wholeheartedly support and thank Hilary from the bottom of my heart for not compromising on things that matter... it usually ends up in half-baked skeletons of what a show could/should've been and there's always something that feels off when that happens, so I'm really glad she stood her ground!

It was one of Disney's EOs that saw the episodes and suddenly decided it should be kid-friendly. Let's hope they'll come around. Bob Chapek was surprised by the amount of (childless) adults watching Disney+. He said that they have to think about a broader content.

I was also sad. Not as sad as I was when they scrapped the high school spinoff in the early 2000s (I lived for Lizzie McGuire as a kid), but still greatly disappointed.

Agreed, I wanted to see Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo in highschool so bad and was really sad when that didn't happen, allegedly the Disney channel peeps didn't want to pay Hilary what she was worth, so her mom advised Hill to walk away from the deal in 2004.

I saw 'The 10 things I hate about you' for the first time the other day on Disney+ and I was so surprised it got a pass to be in the streaming service. It talked about sex had profanity and adult topics yet Disney wasn’t willing to let Lizzie McGuire have those elements?
Disney+ was so set on making Lizzie a reboot similar to Raven’s home which is NOT what fans want. Do they really think kids will want to watch it? No! Adults who grew up with Lizzie will watch the show. We don’t want to sit through episodes of a family friendly show with corny jokes.
Im so disappointed with Disney. I grew up watching Lizzie McGuire and was my favorite show on Disney Channel. Literally, the only reason I even subscribed/paid for Disney+ was that they were going to have a reboot of Lizzie McGuire. They are damn fools
