• Hilary Duff Reveals Wh...
Disney+ can handle violence in Falcon and The Winter Soldier but they couldn't handle Lizzie Maguire in her 30s.
EXACTLY! Like Disney and Marvel announced that Deadpool 3 and Blade will be Rated-R so I don’t understand how they can cherry pick the content they push out once they start filming scenes where Ryan Reynolds chops off someone’s head lol.
Those were my exact thoughts while watching that!! I don’t even understand…
It's mostly because of sex scenes lol
George, the most dangerous creature in the world is a woman in her 30s! ;)
Not surprising, they moved Love Victor off Disney+ for being "too adult" when there wasn't anything "adult" about it that you couldn't find in dozens of other shows in that service.
Honestly, this continuation isn't really even for kids. It's for those of us who watched the original show and are now adults. Thanks for ruining that Disney.
they honestly cannot let this go. they always cater to the kids now instead of having room for us, who are now adults, who grew up with disney and we made it what it is today with disney channel and the growth of that network :/ it's like our demographic isn't respected at all. i don't like that. they treat us like we're dumb as viewers
@@PaolaTheTimeLord You're right! Disney really doesn't respect the audiences that watched it as children at all even when there are perfect opportunities to continue stories like this one. Since they picked up Marvel, which has much more violence and that's on Disney+, one would think they could loosen the grip on something but sadly that's just not the case. Gosh, forbid Lizzie actually acted like a normal 30-year-old and not a woman who looks 30 but acts like she's 15, which is what they want and is creepy. I think this will start to cause problems for them but they won't care or notice until it hits their pockets.
Yeah they made ravens home more of a kiddy show then that’s so Raven so honestly..I’m glad Hilary isnt budging and having Disney Ruin the franchise
@@emmalarson im glad hillary was very protective of lizzie and the whole show. it is creepy that disney wants to make grown actors play minors. i do agree with you 100%. portraying that image of adult = minor is so damaging for kids to see since they think they have to grow up fast and look old and it's also damaging for adults because it normalizes that minors should be acting like adults and there is no age boundary. hillary has integrity and i love that. she is lizzie 100% because lizzie always did the right thing even if that means taking Ls. hopefully they can release the episodes they did film. i don't think disney is going to change their behavior with us as a demographic. i feel like they will always disrespect us & not value that we created their fame. if it wasn't for disney channel's boom in the late 1990s and 2000s, disney wouldn't have the recognition it has today in 2021. it also doesn't make sense why they would limit their audience reach. they're hurting their pockets more by catering to certain groups rather than ALL groups. dumb dumb business move. it will hurt them soon enough.
They did the same with Boy/girls Meets World reboot and it fell flat with “forced lessons”
LIZZE MCGUIRE FANS ARE NOT 12 YEAR OLD KIDS WE ARE ADULTS WHO WANT TO WATCH A GROWN UP LIZZIE 😭😭😭
I think some things are best left as they were. I don't need to see every character from my childhood as an adult, although that seems to be a trend these days with shows like Saved by the Bell and Punky Brewster.
@@bfsgman Yeah I agree. Although, I was sad that Lizzie got axed, but when I truly think about it, I'm not sure I'd enjoy watching it and relating to it as much as I did as a kid. I have fond memories of that time and that show and I'm not sure I'd like seeing Lizzie in today's world. I tried watching Raven's Home and I didn't like it. I don't want the same to happen with Lizzie.
Yeah not like Ravens home, but a show for we who actually grew up watching Lizzie, c’mon Disney 😒
@@bfsgman well I mean they are doing ICarly and they are doing what Lizzie McGuire should of been
exactly
So basically Disney screwed it for the fans.
Lol no. Hilary screwed it up ultimately as she decided that she wanted to take on the role of writer, which she never held.
Regardless I think it was a bad idea. I was a big fan of the show growing up and I don’t need the nostalgia ruined.
This is probably a blessing in disguise for Hilary’s career. I hope she branches out and try’s to play some different characters.
@@ruthgoldstein6518 Disney still had the ultimate say so. So yeah, their fault. Period. The masses see it that way too.
@@DeathtotheAshes whatever, Disney did us all a favour. Also sharing the opinion of the “masses” isn’t always a good thing. There are many times in history when we’ve looked back in disgust at what the “masses” thought.
Doesn't surprise me look at mouseguard this wouldn't be the first time Disney's done this
@Ruth Goldstein you sort of don't know what you're talking about. Back in the day, the writers of Disney shows would ask the young actors what was going on in their lives and the writers would mirror what the young actors told them. And that would not only affect the dialogue, sometimes an episode's entire plotline would be pulled from the young actors' real situations. Hilary had every right to claim ownership of Lizzie McGuire, back then and especially now. Disney fumbled the bag. They're clearly misogynistic
The fact that the Lizzie reboot was one of the biggest things disney+ promoted to get itself bought and they cancelled it…
Meh. It was a bad idea but if you’re really that upset about it you can blame our girl Hilary for deciding that’s she wanted to overstep and write the role herself.
This right here!
@@ruthgoldstein6518 lmao. Sis. I equate this comment to ripping a bandaid off or watching someone fall bad and then walking up and telling them to walk it off lol
@@sxwx6567 hahahahaha fair enough, perhaps I could use a little more tact. 😉
FORREAL THEY HAD HER IN THE ORIGINAL DISNEY+ PROMOTION/COMMERCIAL AND FOR WHAT
The cancelation honestly felt like a kick in the stomach. Like, iCarly is going full steam ahead with an adult reboot and everyone loves it!! Disney really is clueless about what WE want. Lizzie McGuire is for the fans who GREW UP with her, not for children today! They do not even know who she is! It’s so frustrating.
Let alone we’re the ones paying for the service not 12 year olds.
I heard the iCarly reboot cancelled on a cliffhanger.😢
Disney needs to understand we’re no longer those 13 year olds anticipating for the old show. We want to see Lizzie and any character as they are but fully grown. I’m glad Hilary realized that and saw that the character deserves better than whatever they had pitched for the original run. I hope there’s still a possibility for Lizzie to be aired on a different network with the two episodes they had previously filmed.
What would a quirky thirty-year-old woman even behave like or say? "We're not best friends anymore!" while sticking her tongue out? Ew. Just give us a real adult please.
I think they knew that, it’s just finding a balance between what’s appropriate for Disney+
And I think the correct visions Hillary Duff has contradict what Disney stands for.
Because yes us who grew up with Lizzie wants it, but it would also be seen by kids who are currently watching Disney
I don't see why they couldn't put it on Hulu. Like didn't they do that for Love Victor.
@@ambzerambzer8800 if they knew that why would they dim the character down to suit the younger generation? It just doesn’t make sense to have Lizzie act prissy and un-adult like when she’s a full grown woman. It just wouldn’t make sense for Lizzie to act this way if she’s coming into terms with a new chapter in her life. If they wanted a character that can relate to the younger generation they can create characters and stories for that. I don’t think Lizzie would be appropriate for the younger generation yet. She deserves better than that.
@@krissyk354 I do agree. I think that's just what the meetings were about, trying to navigate it. Disney is for younger audiences, So the issue is there from the get-go.
I suppose they could've done, a quirky version of an Adult lizzie and like not include, drinking, smoking, swearing or sex ect: I guess they just originally thought, they could find away around it. Which I mean I guess they could. There must of been Disney shows with an adult main character before, right?
IDK, I think it being on Disney channel was the first obstacle
Can Disney+ release the first 2 episodes at least!?!?! Please!
Yes!!! Release the first two episodes and let the true fans decide if it’s “appropriate” for Disney plus. Even though they allow shows like; Son’s of anarchy, Family Guy , The Fosters, Good Trouble and Grown-ish . All of those programs have adult themes and people outside the United States can have access to them . So Disney plus shouldn’t care about what a modern Lizzie mcguire should be doing.
@Hans Sueño PLEASE
@@karleighrock593 wait, Son's of anarchy is in Disney+????? I don't have Disney+ so I had no idea! Loved that show but... they have that and they don't want a show were the fans of a lovely child can see and find out how she got to grow up and became (and I'm sure about it) a wonderful woman in her 30's, the age that most of her fans are now?? unbelievable
Screw that ! I as a true Lizzie fan refuse! I want the whole deal! Take my money!!!! You can’t dangle that carrot in our face and then say nawww were gunna can it. Hilary please fight for this! This is so tragic like it really upsets me.
@@anthonysharp1651 Why the hell do you want to see this so bad? We’ve grown up let’s move on. Hilary is just desperate for this because she’s a terrible actress.
I'm really glad she acknowledged that at some point she didn't think highly of Lizzie. I remember her in interviews years ago mentioning how she kinda despised being always related to the Lizzie McGuire show, so when she came back and talked about how much she loved her, I was sceptical. But this interview put all that in perspective, she simply grew an appreciation in her 30s that she must have had for a few years. Love that.
Same thing happened with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Buffy. You don't miss a good thing till it's gone.
Also remember she was 16/17 being called Lizzie told to not change from being her when she was finding her own identity
So it always made sense when I'm sure she was like I'm sick of being that way. It's why so many child stars wild out but Hilary was always mature and did the internal work and knew that.
The fact that Disney can’t let this happen is just really sad. I was one that grew up with Lizzie as well, and it seems to me that Disney forgets that Lizzie McGuire literally carried the company WAY before shows like Hannah Montana ever did. That show literally set the ground work for all the other shows coming after it.
Just disappointing ....
It’s so bizarre to me that Disney can do a rated-R Deadpool 3 film and a Blade movie also rated-R but can’t find a way to let the Lizzie McGuire reboot be for adults as well. I think this is a huge opportunity that’s being missed for Disney and for a direction they can go into.
The That's So Raven new show is in Disney...why couldn't they try to do Lizzie reboot like that?
Disney can have the simpsons but can’t handle Lizzie in her 30s
@@sydneyalmanza2768 Hilary Duff and creator of Lizzie McGuire, Terri Minsky were really adamant about this reboot not being about Lizzie being a mom and having kids. The two episodes that were shot had Lizzie being single or, in some form of a relationship while living in nyc. I can imagine it was a show that was targeted for us who grew up with LM but with heightened adult problems and issues that don’t specifically have to do with having children.
@@sydneyalmanza2768 the new That’s So Raven show is made for children, whereas Hillary wanted to make her reboot for those who have grown up with her and more targeted at those that are entering their 30s
It’s different brands tho... the films you mention are Marvel films under that brand. Lizzie McG is a Disney brand and it wouldnt translate very well under Disney. Maybe another brand like HBO, HULU or ABC would work.
Just look at Ravens home, it doesn’t really depict two 30 year old womens life the actual struggle ect. They’ve created it in away where Raven features in the show but it’s more about her kids.
They didn’t just screw it for the fans but the actors that had a job and a paycheque...
@@chelelinda6062 they were doing it for the passion for sure.. A handful of actors didn’t have much work though so they were probably super excited about getting a new job and seeing their old coworkers again etc

I don’t understand why they couldn’t just move the project over to Hulu, like they did with Love, Victor. I guess there were contract issues or something, but that would’ve been the best solution. Edit: I’m also pretty sure Disney owns Hulu, so ownership wouldn’t be the problem.
Because Disney owns the property and they aren’t going to let another company profit off of it
@@carolineyoung3481 they have Disney Star (adult content) on Disney+ now, but it’s for countries outside US.

"They're watching themselves." YESSSS. Those of us who grew up with Lizzie are in our 30s now. Take this reboot to HBO Max or Hulu or something. We want to see the Lizzie we grew up with, not a corny disney version.
End of the day no matter what we want Disney owns Lizzie so it's the mouses way or nothing. 😤😡
They have the Simpsons on Disney+ sooooo i don’t get it!!
Family Guy too 💀💀
I truly feel like she just doesn't want to do it herself. I get that vibe.

@@rein2430 The ogirinal writer dropped out of the project which was the dealbreaker, it's not about Hillary.
@@britneyspearsstan Actually I think they only have that one on Hulu, but with that said Disney owns majority shares in Hulu just put it there.
I've wrote about this countless times on other platforms: as much as it saddens me to know it's unlikely this new show will happen, I will be forever grateful to Hilary for trying, but most of all, to refuse to compromise on character integrity and her vision for Lizzie! She knew not compromising with Disney would sadden a lot of people and fans, yet she didn't want to agree to their terms just to give us "something" Lizzie! That's SO admirable and brave! For her it's either "The way I feel is right for my character" or "nothing"! It should always be case with every show, but unfortunately, it isn't. I saw time and again what a mess it can become if a third, clueless party, gets a saying in a project. No, thank you!
I'd rather leave Lizzie back on that terrace in Rome and make up my own story from there!
Yeah, we don't want what happened to Joey from Friends again but with Lizzie.
I wish they would release the 2 episodes they shot at least 😕
Just watched the movie again right now and was seeing if there was hope.
This woman has been part of my childhood since like forever!!!

I only got Disney plus because of the Lizzie reboot. Once it got the axe, I disconnected. I wanted one thing from Disney. And that was Lizzie. Disney plus has non stop glorified violence but won’t let a character connect on a real level to its targeted audience. 🙄
I know right! Falcon and Winter Soldier basically split a guy in half

The fact that Hilary fought for Lizzie, shows just how much the spirt of Lizzie lives within her to this day. They both stand up for what they know is right in their heart. McGuire would be so proud of you, Duff.
respect hillary for putting her foot down in this situation and not giving the fans shit that will go nowhere or that will be extremely fake.
if more actors had the moral and commitment to what their characters represent they wouldn't be willing to ruin them just for a check.
Please release the first 2 episodes anywhere. Even here in RUclips.
They'll be dumb to release if people love it and then call them out even more for their dumb ass decision
I trust her more than I trust Disney. Raven's Home and Girl Meets World were a disaster imo. Now that she's involved in the new HIMYM reboot, I don't think this is happening anymore.
I loved girl meets world and I’m 35. 🤷♀️

Why
Idk Ravens Home kinda snaps if its just raven we're talking about. She's still hilarious as before.
@@havensohn3821
She’s funny but the show focuses on the kids Lizzie was going to be about Lizzie
Ravens home is really good
I respect Hilary Duff for fighting for this and walking away. Lizzie McGuire fans are GROWN now. I don’t want to watch a “Disney friendly” version of Lizzie in her 30s. I’d want to watch her acting like a real adult... not like a weird rated G version of a woman. And if it wasn’t going to be done right, it shouldn’t be done at all. As much as it sucks, I prefer having no revival and remembering it for what it was than to have a crappy revival that no one will watch (because the producers didn’t cater to their target audience...) and will get canceled after a season.

Why would Disney sell one of their original IPs to Netflix?
@@dirtbag_8132 Because they failed her
like Paramount takes over iCarly
Disney wont sell their own property to their competition, so this is a pointless ask.
They should’ve enlisted Touchstone for this reboot it would’ve been interesting to see Lizzie in the same scope as some of Touchstone’s teen comedies as kind of a Disney Felicity if you will
It is good that she didn't allow major changes to Lizzie. I am sad but happy that Hilary Duff it's totally different from other Disney stars
Disney assumes we want the mediocre childish shenanigans when most of us who grew up around that time are in our 20s now. When they announced the thats so raven reboot i was expecting a more grown up version of thats so raven but instead its focusing on the lives of her kids when honestly most of the viewers were there to see raven and chelsea no shade to the cast. ♥️ i hope disney works things out and at least sell the show to Hulu or HBO max bc i was definitely looking forward to seeing Lizzie all grown up.
yea I was thinking the same thing actually. I was hoping for more mature version of thats so raven
For real ! I wanted to see grown up raven and the rest of the original cast 😑 plus the added laughter gets annoying after a while and doesn’t let me focus on what’s actually funny . I stopped watching after the 3rd episode I think
Ravens home was trash ngl
More like 30s
Disney needs to listen to what fans have been saying they want, which is the version of the show Hilary and Terri Minsky pitched. I initially purchased a Disney+ subscription purely for the Lizzie reboot, so I would be ready when it dropped. There are so many times now that I just shake my head when I see what content is on D+ now, thinking “This is okay, but a 30-y-o Lizzie isn’t?”. It’s just ridiculous.
They’ll “figure it out on the way.”
I don’t get this! The show iCarly from Nick just came out with adult show and they are getting drunk and stuff. So that was ok but not a much better and tasteful show from Disney about 30 year old Lizzie McGuire? 😖😫 I hope that the new show iCarly is so popular that it makes Disney reconsider. I hate that they got our hopes up.
The iCarly reboot is going a mature direction, from what I have seen, it looks good. They're adapting the characters to be believable adults, while carrying on the spirit of the old. It's not like they're gonna turn the show into Girls or Sex and the City.
The people that would actually remember Lizzie Mcguire are in their mid to late 20s and 30s now, so it only makes sense that a reboot would cater to us, not kids. Hopefully, the idea can be picked up some other way because I was really excited to get Lizzie back.
If Paramount+ can reboot iCarly successfully, then why can’t Disney+? Wow.
disney has the rights for the show so...
Paramount is willing to let iCarly become an adult show to adapt to the aged audience. Disney likely isn't willing to do the same for Lizzie McGuire, given their image.
Because Disney is incredibly stupid. At least Nick acknowledges that both the fanbase and iCarly characters actually grew up instead of trying to make it “child friendly.”
@@PowerRangersFanAntiDinoFury Watch the trailer again, she said “sexy alien.” You must have misheard.
it seems to me that Disney has problems knowing its target audience. they wanted to appeal to young audiences but young audiences are not interested in Lizzie cuz they didn't grow up with her lol. the ones looking forward to this were 25+ yo . it made no sense to make it "family friendly" if Lizzie was gonna be the protagonist.
Disney really dropped the cake with this one. Honestly which of the Disney child actresses can you bring back for a reboot? Hillary Duff has done a great job at keeping clean of any mental break downs, drug issues, over sexualized exposure in her career. She was perfect for the reboot!
Yes release the frist two episodes! I am so sad mad that it was cancelled it has to come back!
I mean.. can we see the 2 episodes??
You can tell she’s pissed about the whole situation, stupid that Disney put a stop to it by I’m assuming trying to make it a show for kids. She’s in her 30s it could’ve been a mix of more adult and family oriented.
At the same time i think sis knew deep down inside the show wouldnt survive the way they were writing it. So she jumped ship quick. Im glad she stuck to her vision. Yes Disney owns Lizzie but thats Hilarys character
this is how Disney messed up boy/girl meets world too. as much as I enjoyed the reboot, I really hoped for more content and storylines relevant to where I'm at in my life (late 20s/early 30s). so much potential. hoping Lizzie gets the reboot she/we all deserve.
They messed it up because they weren’t even the ones who made boy meets world . ABC did before Disney bought the network and started airing edited versions on Disney channel
I’m just spitballing here but what if Disney decided to release the reboot under their eponymous Touchstone label before it was deceased (Touchstone not the show)
She was a big part of my childhood and I hope she will play in more movies.
Watch Younger on Hulu starring her. I didn’t know the show existed until recently, but her character on there is close to what I would expect a grown up Lizzie to be like.
All Lizzies fans are all in they’re 20’s and up now , we need a grown up show of her 😍
Thanks disney for screwing us over.
I’m so mad and upset that this was canceled. I’ll never forgive and forget. 😭
I grew up watching Lizzie, and am 26 years old now. Hilary is completely right! Fans want to see Lizzie through the lens of an adult, not a PG type of show. The ones who are going to be watching are the ones who grew up with the show. If Disney couldn’t accept it on Disney+, why not just move it to Hulu??
I have so much respect for her and for how much she cares about her fans. This woman was the love of my life growing up and I’m not even straight 😤😂❤️

I wonder if those 2 episodes will ever be released.
What I got from this: Hilary owns the rights to Lizzie. She wants to do a sequel where they follow adult Lizzie. Disney wants to do a reboot with a whole new cast and make her young again. Hilary doesn't want that, she wants it to still be around her with her in it. They can't agree, show is RIP.
Ugh 😩 So beautiful, so talented, so well spoken. The last child star we got that didn’t go downhill 🤍
Why don’t they just make an adult half of Disney plus? OR they should at least release the episodes they shot and see what the reaction is/who their demographic is... I know it’s very different content, but that’s why an R rated Deadpool got made (could be a similar situation in theory)
I introduced my 13 year old niece to lizzie and she says it's her favorite show! But before I showed her she had no idea what it was or who hilary duff was...
Disney is so confused about what Disney+ is about. They needed to have the "Disney" name on it to get it off the ground and benefit from all their classic movies, but now they somehow want to jam mature content on the platform while also being afraid to create original content that isn't pure enough for international family audiences. It's going to continue to be a mess.
Her interview skills are 🔥
I’m still so crushed.
*looks at iCarly* Seriously Disney? Take some notes- we could’ve had TWO continuations or our childhood into the adult world...TWO
I love how honest she is
Love Hilary. She was my childhood, adolescence and now adulthood.
Everyone should write letters to Disney plus and Hulu! 💔 this is so sad

It sucks so much. I want to see those 2 episodes. If the show was on Disney, it could have been a Hallamark-esque adult show. I wish it was happening. :(
I smell a Lizzie McGuire in her 30s movie deal coming her way soon. ✨
At least release the two episodes they filmed, Disney!
Is there a way for Disney+ & Netflix to partner up? Netflix can totally handle Lizzie in her 30s.
Why would Disney sell one of their original IPs to Netflix? Especially since, they already removed all of them from Netflix.
Ok I’m not gonna even get into how pissed off I am but simply just release the first 2 episodes so we can at least have some closer to this dumb ass reason why the show won’t happen.
Disney should really start having an adult shows on their platform and restrict it if they want to protect young ages. Its been years and they haven't changed a bit. The continuation of Lizzie isn't even for kids. Its for the people who grew up watching the show who are adults now. It would have been amazing if she tackles a lot of topics that people were the same age are struggling with. Stop playing safe Disney! Let your characters grow!
Gonna be interesting to see if the mouse eats it's words after the iCarly reboot numbers come in. No one that is 12 knows who Lizzie is. Give us the reboot we deserve. 🙄🙄🙄
Hilary grew into such a beautiful woman and talented actress! She’s so humble and has such a sweet nature to her. I absolutely loved her in The Haunting of Sharon Tate ♥️
They could even put this on Freeform. The concept aligns with their show The Bold Type.
Why don't they just release it on Hulu then? Ugh I still want to see it. 😂
Hope this still happens with a grown up Lizzie. We have grown up with her so needs to be more grown up
I don't understand why this show couldn't just be on Freeform (also owned by Disney).
Somebody pls release the two episodes of the reboot we never get
QUEEN HILARY!!! She’s amazing and Lizzie was a big part of my youthful memories and growing up, and Hilary’s music was a huge part of helping me find and be myself in my youth. And even today she does the same and as I’ve grown along with her, Breathe In Breathe Out speaks to me during the ever changing phases of adulthood. I respect and appreciate her loyalty to Lizzie and the fans and her desire tk accurately represent her as we would relate to her today in our late 20’s and 30’s. She is a true inspiration ❤️💕
Disney owns Hulu and Freeform. If Good Trouble can exist there in both platforms I'm not sure why they don't just go that route. It only makes sense.
She looks so mature so happy so grateful....so happy for her hope more child/Disney stars follow her path
I remember her music after the show my sister would always played it
I can’t believe they shot 2 episodes that we won’t ever get to see! Someone behind the scenes leak the videos! 😂😞
I don't think Disney+ is being hypocritical necessarily, as some comments seem to suggest. I think they want to keep Lizzie McGuire as part of their "Family/Wholesome/PG" category, and so they want her to stay in that lane. They have other shows in different lanes, where different rules apply.
Freeform would have been proper network for the show to have been on.
You can tell she's tired and didn't want to talk about it. 0:07 🤣🤣🤣
Lizzie McGuire as an adult would not work from a child-viewer perspective necessarily especially focusing on her love life, etc. More so for the fans who have grown with her and are adults themselves. I could see why disney+ would be hesitant on a more adult perspective as it may not be portrayed as suitable for these viewers.. kids ruin it again lol
So sad it's not happening but I totally understand it's tricky to navigate for Disney+... hopefully they reconsider!
You can tell Hilary was holding back she's most likely not allowed to talk about it. It does suck because Lizzie is a big part of all of us, maybe not do a whole series just like a movie or something. #WhatDreamAreMadeOf #BringBackLizzie, also bugs me when child actors don't like where they first started at least Hilary is ok with it now.
I agree. She's still kinda secretive about it. Probably because there are still conversations.
I'm thankful that Hilary is protective of Lizzie. She didn't wanna put something out that would destroy the legacy of her character.
Ok but why not just send the Lizzie reboot to Hulu if Disney felt that weird about the content not being suitable for kids? Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Disney has a partnership with Hulu. They did a similar situation with Love, Victor when it was taken from Disney plus to Hulu.
Disney plus has an option for PG14 and R so I don't see why they won't let a kids show get rebooted. They said it would be a bit more mature so why did they change their minds?
Lol, what? Disney Plus doesn’t have anything R rated on it.
@@Disneygirl3715 lol y accounts only up to 14 so I assumed because I thought someone would correct me if there was thanks
I can't believe Disney wouldn't let them do the show the way they wanted to do it! They should of signed the show over to Hulu or something.
Exactly my thought. The icarly reboot is happening and she was on Nickelodeon but still they got signed on to paramount+ they could have done the same for adult Lizzie.. ugh so unfair 🤦🏻♀️
Disney needs to realize that not all their fans are between the ages of 8-12. If anything, i wish Disney would put out more adult themed content. But Disney is so focused on making all their shows/movies family friendly. Which is why i fear for what they’re gonna do with Blade in the MCU
They should make a netflix series just called LIZ
That would be copyright infringement.
you better believe someone's gotta have this footage they can edit together into a 2 episode arch and release to the masses. 👀
for once I think Disney needs to take notes from paramount because there’s a way to make a show more adult but still have that original vibe to it just look at the icarly reboot
What wrong with iCarly iCarly was a good show 2
@@marcusulrich6212 nothing is wrong with it I'm discussing the reboot and how they made it a more mature show
Hillary Duff is so beautiful. She hasn't changed at all and she's all grown up with children of her own.
i want lizzie to come back on screen more than anything else. it was a generation. an era. EVERYONE loves lizzie and we want her back, the original fans want her back and we want to know where she is now so many years later. id love to see more of hilarys vision for it but at this point ill take any version of the show that they can make PLEASE PLEASE bring lizzie mcquire back and release the two episodes
I feel like Disney is really misunderstanding what the fans want. I think most of us who would want a Lizzie revival would want to see a grown-up, relatable Lizzie. I’m grateful that Hillary understood that.
When i was a kid i watched Casper and fell in love with her!! I wish theyd let the lizzie reunion happen the way she wants to portray it but its probably better off left the classic it is
so we all agree that the HIYM spinoff that she's gonna star in, is basically adult Lizzie Maguire, right?
Yeah… glad they didn’t go Ravens Home route though.. watched a few clips and dang it was definitely for the kids
@@LayrtizParkProductions It was on Disney Channel but still I get your point don't why Raven accepted it
I wish this reboot was happening! I really really wanted to watch it.
They should put Lizzie on Freeform or something then, it already aligns closer on that platform related with the other content.
The thing is that a lot of shows from Freeform are already on Disney + since they own it. That being said they could of put the Lizzie on there because there is a lot of tv shows for older people on there now

Like boy meets world that was made by abc
Or hulu
I’m happy they didn’t move forward with a kid friendly disney show like they did with the Thats So Raven reboot. It was awful and aimed for kids but that is not the audience who wants it. I hope in the future they can see how high the demand is for a real 30 year old Lizzie story line is.
