I miss the blocks. Seems like MTG is all over the place. No cohesion.
Blame EDH
Rapid fire settings and ever more diverse legendary creatures are fueled by EDH demand. Blocks were really only good for the standard format, which no one cares about anymore.
If we want blocks back, we have to stop supporting EDH and start begging wizards for a more cohesive standard release pattern.
That's because dorks keep buying sealed product as fast as the predators put it out
dungeons and dragons, new capenna, lord of the rings, a couple ixalan things, and next bloomborrow. I ignored anything else. I may get few singles of some sets, tho.

mark rosewater literally said the only reason they did blocks is cause they didn't have enough resources to do multiple planes in a year
You put a bunch of cute animals in a set and it’s a recipe for success. It will be interesting to see how Hasbro responds to the success of MH3 and Bloomburrow against what looks like a Assassin’s Creed flop.
The collector boxes have sold everywhere because they had cut the print run.
I thought Assassin's Creed would bomb so I didn't order any in for the store, I ordered in extra collector booster boxes of bloomburrow as I expected it to do well.
The "issues for other products" isn't bloomburrow's fault, it's because they're releasing too many products
Those lands could replace regular basic lands in tribal decks. Those could've been really good in the Onslaught block
Bloomburrow is neat and all, but that Clambassador market is going crazy.
I'm skipping Bloomborrow except any good squirrels I might see and potentially Calamities. Duskmourn is really pulling me in.
I hope we get some good new lands in the rare or mythic slot.
Just the two main creatures alone in the starter deck are blowing up on TCG.

I’m not huge on assassins creed but the reason I bought a box of cards was to find the new swords and equipment for the most part. A similar thing happened with Dr who and with Karlov manor where not many people bought the product, and later on the very FEW decent cards from those sets are now 10 to 20 bucks for a handful of them. I went through my box of AC and at least 60 of the cards are at 3.50 or more rn. So I will likely sell enough now to get my money back and save the rest till they go from 10 to 20 or more and nobody opens up more AC boxes so the few cards on the market raise in price.
Im meh on bloom little cutesie animals is not my cup of tea. Probably pick up some singles if they fit in my existing decks. Looking more twords Dusk...

Really excited about bloomburrow and sure i think it may overshadow other sets but thats not for me to worry thats for especulators and wizards, i only buy singles
I pre-ordered the BloomBurrow Precon Commander decks from my LGS and will get some prerelease kits for drafting. I am so glad I did not buy any Assassin's GREED products. I will wait to buy a few singles. I don't want to focus on DuskMourn. BloomBurrow hasn't even been released yet. Like I said before, players do not have much time to enjoy the current set that comes out because Wizards releases something new every month now. They leak out cards from upcoming sets too soon. I also do not like the artwork on most of the DuskMourn cards. With the exception of Precons, I skipped buying boxes from Ravnica Remastered, Karlov Manor, Fallout, Thunder Junction, Assassin's GREED, and MH3. Thank you for the video Mox Man. RAMBLE ...jamble.

From the money aspect i come from csgo with all the skin market, how do you say a release is succsessful or not? Resell value like csgo skins where you can sell for higher price? Or just play value where if there are too many cards of the same set it becomes stale?
The new sets look very interesting. We’re already talking drafts and we’re a casual commander group mostly
wotc should listen to what players want instead of pumping out wild not very mtg feeling sets
My local lgs didn't even bother ordering any Assassin's Creed items. Not one of it's regulars are interested in it.
I’ve just started playing and I hate bloomburrow. It has some ok commanders but you have to spend a lot to get anything worth keeping. And it’s surprising any card would be worth over 10 dollars out of this set.
Nobody cares about Generations or Jumpstart 25 regardless of Bloomburrow or not 😂
I can't see this not being the most popular set of the year.
Not my style personally, skipping this one.
All my cash is being saved for Duskmourn.
Probably pick up some singles from Foundations when it arrives as well.
Hopefully next year's sets will be fully revealed soon.

Tbh, I think bloomburrow will perform exactly like or may even burn out faster than mh3….after release it’s a race to the bottom then it’s just becomes passé.
I’ve been asking players I have played with on spelltable and I agree that ACR is not going to do well…..some may buy singles myself included a couple will get a box and that’s about it.
There is strong anticipation for bloomburrow but it’s waning already in the shadow of dusk mourn.
I see dusk mourn eclipsing bloomburrow even before it’s released the momentum and/or velocity is all going to dusk mourn.
People are excited about bloomburrow but they are more hyped about duskmourn based off the feedback I’ve received.
Ironically, if you plan to hold product for value then ACR may be the way to go. It will not likely get a reprint and once established and stabilized, the singles will likely hold up well over time due to the low amount of cards swishing around in the secondary market.
To a lesser extent the same can be said for OTJ. It has alot of bangers and chase cards in it that will likely hold up for several years and as time passes the demand for chase cards inevitably goes up while the normies slowly tick down.
While I'll probably buy a number of prerelease from home kits with them being the best bang for your buck then draft it a fair but and likely come close to completing the set as usual. That said I have not seen a single card yet that interests me. Duskmourn on the other hand has 3 already....

To be fair its not that popular as it once was it got popular around 2007-2015 the movie was horrible the next iterations followed a leveling rpg mechanic which killed it imo and with the controversy following ac shadows on social media it was and will be a good move to stay away until someone is the Guinea pig
The fact the green land can’t target birds and the blue land doesn’t target a creature is lame. Would’ve been great support for Nadu to get another targeting land

Yeah the commander decks sold out instantly which sucks especially since we haven’t seen the deck yet and yeah no one cares about foundations we didn’t expect it and they hyped the last 2 sets and hid foundations away they screwed up like this year I only intended to buy bloomburrow and duskmourn stuff this year I did for junction but only singles after the fact

I don't know how or why but I dread a wokeness take on woodland animals.
Just remember if it sells out then you can just buy Soldevi Excavations instead!
