I bought one full alt art foil back when Dom United came out. I thought back then that all this needed was more enchantment creatures and it was an awesome commander. Enter in the Aminatou commander deck.
In my experience with Yugioh never throw out them bulk rares. You never know when it’ll make some money. Problem is that MTG prints hundreds of trash rares.

I think the spike will be relatively short lived: Like it's probably going back to a dollar inside 2 months or so as I can't imagine there's too many players anxious to keep opening and building Duskmourn. Sure there's the novelty factor with that enchantment reanimator commander but otherwise paying 2 to turn enchantments to creatures? The bonuses are ok but this is way too mana intensive for anything but the most casual of tables: there's better ways to reanimate way more powerful creatures. I might be way off because I have to disclose my bias: I am sincerely unimpressed with rooms and Duskmourn overall: seems like just making silly tribal commander stuff that's way too specific and mana intensive to be remembered even 6-12 months down the line let alone a few years from today.
It's definitely more a way for enchantment decks to get on the board, I'm pretty sure you only play Zur when you're already playing a bunch of enchantments, you're not playing this because you want big creatures, you're playing Zur because you already have a ton of enchantments and want to be able to use them to pressure opponents' life totals with creatures. 2 mana is also not that much for that effect unless you're playing at pretty high power tables, it's not like you have to keep paying that cost, just finding a random 2 unspent mana is definitely not uncommon, like how many times have you held up interaction and not ended up needing to use it? I run it in a Tom Bombadil deck, and it's pretty good since the deck struggles to get on the board to attack and block.
@@armani722 I think it's the combination of colors and strategy that doesn't quite clicks with me though: Everything you said is accurate but with the "non auras" restriction it gets more difficult to justify. Sure rooms alleviate this somewhat but the Duskmourn Esper Enchantment Commanders are better anyway. It's also very hard for me not to find way better things to do in Esper like Tivit and even if I wanted a more simple tribal deck, Sidar would just be far more solid of a strategy (If pretty boring at this point)
So less about the doors and more about the new enchantress, and master of keys, viktor, and really a lot of the new eerie mechanic creatures, REALLY give Arna Kennerüd a fun bump in power
Pulling my aminatou precon apart for this. Could run it with blue leyline to make everything enchantment creatures and greater auromancy for protection.
I have the miracle worker deck, and I wanted Zur for the upgrades I wanted to make. Omniscience is a 10/10 with Zur? Yes, please. Now I have to wait for it to either drop in price again, or wait for the reprint. 😞

He’s my fav, og zur. He’s pretty solid in competitive even getting necro turn 3 ish is pretty good.
I still have a zur from when I played that prerelease. And you're right, looking at it now we all missed how good this card could be.

The blue leyline does not get card type, a.k.a enchantment, but creature type which is a subtype.
