As someone who is new to MLS why does LA Galaxy feel like the B team of LA??? When they have so much history ? And LAFC to my knowledge has only been around since 2018 but they feel so much bigger and popular??
The real reason? LAFC coming along and literally landing every player that would have played for the Galaxy. US sports culture isn’t built for two sports, especially not in California. Look at the lakers and the clippers. No one will play with the Galaxy if LAFC is an option.
This team really pushes true fans away and tries sooooooo hard to bring new or keep old fans. You cant expect more from a team that acts like the Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador Galaxy not the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Lafc is just another team from MLS. They are living their moment but, it is not the Los Angeles team. Everybody MLS fan knows that.
La Galaxy sums up all of the MLS’ failures. They have incredible potential in gaining traction globally, but rely too heavily on extravagant spending. Same thing will happen to inter Miami and LAFC soon enough
