  • Do these tires rub? Owner review, my latest truck after owning the Denali ultimate, F150 lightning, raptor, F150 King Ranch, Lariat sport, 21 GMC 1500 durmax, 22 GMC AT4 1500 6.2, and the TRX.
    Some say I have a truck problem, being an auto enthusiast I am critical when it comes to trucks. It needs to be comfortable, have lots of toys, good fit and finish, and power. Will this truck do it? Stay tuned...

    I’m normally a Chevy/gmc guy. Wanted a Sierra Denali, but now I’m really feeling this new Ram 1500. It’s bad ass! Especially in this Limited trim.

      Thank you and congrats! The truck is epic if I don’t go with a HD on the next round I’ll use the lift rods to level it out. I like the width of the 305s it gives the truck a nice look.

    Nice truck Derek! I’m debating between the Ram and the GMC Denali with the 6.2 V8. I test drove the GMC and I thought the handling was a little soft. The truck didn’t brake very well either. I will test the Ram next.

      Thank you! The 6.2 is a great motor paired with the 10 speed automatic I had it in my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, Ram nails the ride, fit and finish. Here is a link to all my truck reviews: ruclips.net/p/PLoCY0nEc08iqpNF7CnUGhGeyaPTfGO5xF

    Had my dash replaced on my 22 limited because it was de laminating the original was real leather they replaced with fake leather but if it’s not gonna de laminate again I’ll do fake leather

      @DerekBonzagni  19 дней назад

      @@torresdben1 Yea all new Rams have synthetic leather on the dash so that doesn’t happen anymore, this is becoming common with lots of brands. I’m ok with it, vs the alternative like you said.

    If this is too personal to answer disregard but it’s quite clear you are a big truck fan and to be able to experience and try out all these new vehicles is super incredible. I understand several of the recent trucks you had held up their value pretty well but are you constantly getting out of then upside down or always putting money down on the new vehicle you get in?

    • @DerekBonzagni

      Happy to answer, up until this year the resale on the most popular trucks has been solid allowing me to trade usually with less than 10k miles and not take a huge hit. The Ford lightning was my first big hit due to the EV market downfall, the Raptor ans TRX still hold excellent resale. This year there are rebates and discounts on half ton trucks so I won't be trading like I used to. I rode the wave of amazing truck resale like everyone else last year with low production which helped me switch out frequently. Next move might be a diesel since they hold the best resale. I do love this ram though!

      Agreed I state that I'm clearly unbiased having owned every half ton and personally testing them. Ram did a great job, looking forward to the twin turbo hurricane engine for 2025. Thanks for watching! Haters gonna hate

    Nice video review. You've had a lot of trucks for sure. If someone was looking for an all around dependable good truck these days would ram be on top of the list? If not, which do you suggest or think are leading the pack? Thanks!

    • @DerekBonzagni
      @DerekBonzagni  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching, by consumer reports the ram is top ranked. It has also been running the same 5.7 hemi and 8 speed zf trans for years which has been proven. Toyota is always ranked high but there has been negative feedback on the E Hybrid models. Ford has been a long time favorite but over the years the recalls have been frustrating. GMCs 5.3 has been solid with the 10 speed 2021+. Every truck has its issues so you have to pick what fits best for you. Towing, performance, fit and finish, reliability all factors. I love the Ram but don't love the dial to shift, and lack of driving modes but overall the ride, fit and finish are hard to beat with the recent rebates offered.

    Hows the ram holding up? Time for me to look for a truck in the 20-22 model year range. Wantes your opinions on how you ended up liking this one.

      I have an updated video coming in the next few days (working on editing now) The ram has been amazing, smooth, comfortable and the fit and finish top notch. I am switching to a F250 diesel to tow the skid steer and to see what it’s like to live with a HD

    Nice review ! And good luck with your new ride, I’m considering trading my 2020 AT4 for this same Limited, I have the 5.3 and I have nothing but good things to say about my truck, it is also very low mileage , so not in any rush to trade, but as you mentioned it seems the deals are pretty good on the Ram, oh yeah , I keep my Cayman in the garage 🤠

      That's a great combo, I live on a gravel road otherwise a Porsche would be in order for sure! The incentives on the 2023/2024 at least in December pulled like $12k off which was pretty impressive. I enjoyed my AT4 (see the review) it's a great all around rig. You'll appreciate the seats, air suspension, and tech in the ram it's hard to beat. Keep me posted

      @DerekBonzagni  7 месяцев назад +1

      Cool would love the see the facts on this, we have a ram store and problems are minimal on air suspension. Plenty of rigs with over 200k miles out there, clearly you didn't see my reviews on the other trucks I've had. You'll see I've owned them all and work in the auto industry. Have you driven one, been in one? What are you driving?
