This style of building in Paris is called "Haussmannien" (Haussmannian if you make a English version).
it was the style chosen by the Baron Haussmann that was in charge of the transformation of Paris during the second empire (1853-1870).
this transformation was kind of necessary since there was a lot of medieval streets and it didn't help the transportation and delivery of good after/during industrialisation. They created big streets by literally destroying old building.
One of the most iconic streets if you want to see Haissmannian style is Rivoli Street which starts at la bastille, is adjacent to the Louvre, les halles and ends at the tuileries garden.
