Everyone is saying to just make the tree bigger, but that might break the scale a bit. Perhaps changing the tree type to more of a coniferous pine tree like you have in the village would allow you to go taller without looking oversized. By the way, I absolutely love the factory. This was one of my favorite episodes so far!
absolutely, he is by far the greatest and original lego builder ever. Understanding people just buy sets to build a huge city, but he took it to another super high lever.
I think when you get around to opening up your museum you should have a 'I Spy' style activity sheet for visitors to try and spot each of your stories. You've put a lot of work into them and it would be a nice addon to your museum to try and draw visitors attention to all that's going on in the city by having them try and see how many they can spot.
That’s a great idea! I like the idea that people other than us viewers can appreciate all the detail work. I had been thinking a museum type display with little spotlights of different sections; I.e platforms with close up pictures that explain the stories and maybe building techniques
I love how you have all these small storys all over the city. Have you ever thought about making a fire departement? And maybe have them help a cat down from a tree.
You should add a construction site somewhere! It would be possible to add a lot of detail in it, like diggers, forklifts, workers and maybe even a small crane.
A scyscraper under constraction on the upper floor, that would look lit with metal beams in the air and different floors on different level of completion. You could make a reference to famous historic photo of Nowy Jork workers having lunch atop a Skyscraper (sitting on a beam in the air) :D
Would be fun to have a construction site that is just a half-finished Lego building with no attempt to make it look like a real site, except for some bricks on little pallets.
he addressed this in the video: he says that he left the windows uncovered so that visitors to the lego museum can see the scenes inside some of the buildings
An idea for when this exhibit goes live with visitors: take pictures of all the interiors and have a digital pad in front of the city there people can press on images of houses to get a picture of the interiors, thus getting a more full experience.
For the Factory windows you can maybe change some of the windowparts from Glas to newspaper covered (like in the Stranger Things set). Just a few that visitors can still take a look trough the windows but just as much to cover up the plantation from the city side
I have seen lego cities before - but none have gone to such lengths as this one.... to even go inside the buildings and see actual rooms-- not to mention the underbelly crime story taking place. It's unreal. To think you did this all yourself is just incredible.
You’ve made so much progress since moving the city to the museum location, it might be time to do a city overview video soon! Would love to get a good look at the city in its entirety again!
@@helenafrost3218I'd still love to see a little cave near the cliff jumper, it's absolutely made for that area! Or even just a little wooden boat picking them up.
The rocks in front of the cliff is DEFINITELY an upgrade, they are interesting to look at. The tree behind the buildings is also nice, but maybe try a taller or different kind of tree. LOVE the warehouse, it's hilarious and the sliding doors are a nice touch😂
Maybe in the little back corner behind the building you could add a little community garden? It would be a little hidden from the front view but it could add a little bit more opportunity for storytelling. Also, the second story of the little tower on the factory could maybe act as an office for a mafia boss, who is preparing to make a quick getaway with the police at his door. Love your content!
4:35 if you add these small rocks, then you will need to remove the divers, because in places where there are rocks, jumping on sharp spires of rocks is not recommended😁
Perhaps the "illegal operation" could have a cover story to explain the windows. Such as being a garden centre or plant seller, with this in a backroom or upstairs with skylights.
This is actually a great idea because as it stands right now, the abandoned factory in the middle of town is very conspicuous and doesn't make a lot of sense.
Plant or garden center would be too suspicious since if anyone actually wanted to go to the garden center they wouldn’t be allowed in. Needs to be something that everday people wouldn’t glance an eye at
I think a smoke tower on roof of the smaller section of the factory would work well. It would help break up the large black tiling and give a reason for that area inside to exist.
That factory is absolutely amazing. I love the facade, it's such a good combination of colors. I've never seen a build that so well encapsulates that run-down feeling
Man the old factory... the ivy vines, dilapidated brickwork, sliding doors, even the front "entry room tower" this is maybe my favourite building so far even though its so simple! Well done!
I think the windows should be blocked out with newspapers. Lego has already made a printed window piece for this, and would add to the run down aesthetic.
In legoland they have buttons kids can press and something happens in the miniland. You could add the same in your city with the sliding doors, if you don't want to automate them. The buttons always seem to attract lots of kids in legoland
I think it would be interesting to add doors from the roofs of the houses that are lower into the upper platform, maybe you could also add little backyards to fill the gap
You should use the window with the glued journal print on the old factory, to stop pedestrians from seeing whats happening inside, it would look more realistic
I think you should defiantly add the rocks by the cliff, gives it a sense of depth, and breaks up repetition, for the factory windows, try adding some planks to act as "boards" just one per window, maybe two on the big ones, enough to give it a truly abandoned effect, but not enough to obscure the view, I also think you should add a hole to the roof that has been patched with a tarp or a metal plate, and maybe a hole in the wall which has hastily been filled in. Both of these add to the buildings illegal's feel and that it is hiding something. That said, I just feel as if there is something off about the factories location, that it should be wedged between two buildings in a shady corner, not by a ledge overlooking a plaza, that would be valuable real estate in real life and the factory would have long been torn down. My suggestion if to move the factory away from the plazas and build a more crowded industrial area. but do keep it visible because it is a cool feature! Do keep it close to the docks though.
You should add an abandoned/run-down spur to the tram line that leads to the factory. I love it when you include the small details, it seperates the layout from the finished product.
Adding to that, I thought it would be cool do mimic that water splash effect of the diver but where the water hits the rocks, making it look like a few waves are crashing on them and giving movement, what do you think?
For the tree behind the building, you could try making the trunk slightly taller and see if that helps. Or maybe you could see if a pine would look nicer?
I find myself checking several times during the video to like the video because I really really really really like the city, the video and presenter/builder… all are just so good
My idea for the story is to come up with a few stories to evolve over time. So visitors have a reason to come back and spot the changes.. Example: show the criminals making money, then making some sort of mistake or have a snitch talk to the cops, then hide some undercover cops nearby that people can spot as they spy on the criminals and then eventually the police ready to take the criminals down… etc! For the moon you can have experiments that turn bad and break free, heists and runaway cowboys in the west… etc! Long term stories could be a ton of fun, especially if you post online when the story changes, and give out hint cards to visitors to look for the stories, and then maybe just post the stories online just before you change them so people who didn’t visit can keep up/catch up on the stories. That’s just my idea.
regarding your question at 6:00 in the video about whether to add the tree, I think anything you put there will look like it's growing out of the roof of that building from certain angles. So maybe if you put a sidewalk cafe or an outdoor restaurant on that part of the street (with some umbrellas, people sitting around, a few potted plants, etc), at least from some angles it will just look like that building has a patio on the roof.
I think would be nice build up an other floor of these buildings with the front side on the street with some shops to better integrate that part of the lego city rather than just closing the gap with vegetation. Anyway it look amazing!
Maybe instead of a tree you can put a small water fountain / statue to break up the landscape. Also I would recommend instead of adding more rocks on the shoreline you can build a few of those concrete wave breakers with spikes. Hope this helps!
Yes add a tree! Also I whould love to see like a big Ferris wheel or observation tower in the city center, or things like a playground or skatepark whould be great!
The factory and the run down area is great! I think maybe adding a sunroof/see thru glass on top would give a nice idea about what is happening outside.
LOVE the factory! The different colored pieces and the ivy really give it an old look- GREAT job! (and I vote keep the tree above the house- maybe make it a bit taller?)
The added rocks sticking out of the water by the diving cliff are perfect! They fill the space in a way that makes the area look more interesting, it adds a vertical variety instead of the rest of the harbor, which is all the same height. It's also more realistic that bluffs and cliffs on a coast have.
I stumbled upon this channel a while back, and I am always so excited when the RUclips algorithm recommends a new episode. I love your passion, I enjoy hearing your thought process and how you are willing to break down and try something new, and the CreAtIvity to think of so many ways to visually represent such complex things! I am not a LEGO person at all to be honest, but I love seeing how you take an ambiguous problem and artfully "solve" it with time, effort, and creativity; all while using LEGO bricks, which are what they are, and it's up to YOU to use them in their intended and unintended ways. I also enjoy hearing about "illegal" builds, because it makes sense how they may not be "proper" and yet they work in the ways you build them. Please keep it going!
Your Lego city is really coming together in leaps and bounds, I like the hidden inner story of a local Mafiosi operating within the city limits too, adds fascination.
Instead of a tree in that gap, you could add a large lamp post that has hanging baskets on it. That way you keep the tree and the colour it adds. But you also don't have something that looks like a bush on the roof.
A solution for the tree: remove the strunk and replace it with some people who are planting some trees. The space beside the strunk is also a little bit empty. There could fit a tree or a little park! You are the best lego builder i have ever known. Keep on going!
i think some flat tiles covering the old factory windows would work perfectly! just like in the set 60009 robber's hideout! amazing job as always! love the tree btw
Love the factory!! I have a suggestion, on the gap between the buildings, is there a way you can re-angle the one building and move the buildings back to fill the gap? It would give more space in front for the pizzeria outdoor dining area as it’s still really tight with the train. Just a thought!
I love coming home from school grabbing a snack and watching a new amazing Brickcrafts upload. The videos are really well-made so that you always understand what’s going on. The LEGO city it self is one of, if not the best I’ve ever seen. Keep up the amazing work!
I think you should add like windows boarded with wood to give the feel of a more run down place and give more privacy to the operation, also maybe a snitch or a spy which is ruining this operation, maybe filming or looking through the window
The three houses in the lower row definitely need one more level up so you dont have that weird moment, that whoever walks on the higher level, has a flat roof on the level of his eyesight (Also could work as a 2nd house entrance from the top)
I think the rock formations look great, I would definitely add them! And what about making the tree behind the house a bit taller? I think that would fix the problem with the perspective.
If you wanna add some police officers to the build for the factory, maybe put them in one of the houses across the street looking out the windows like it is some operation where they are gathering evidence and surveillance them
In one of your interiors, something I like doing for the floors is having tan 1x2 tiles as flooring but one or a couple of them have the sock printing from the lego harry potter sets to make the room look dirty
definitely add those rocks. They look awesome! Also, as to motorizing the doors, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult with some gear racks. You could even hide the motors and stuff in the top part of that empty tower
Great video ofc, and I personally wouldn’t keep those little rocks by the cliffs, and I would get rid of the tree and add a bush that doesn’t make it look like it’s growing on top of the house 😊, thanks for the amazing video!
completely understandable. maybe with any premade set you get or as a sort of quick "here's how to build this cool little thing" at some stage. have you considered maybe having a fixed mounted camera overlooking the whole of the city? could make for a cool timelapse/before-after shot? none the less it is quite interesting watching the city grow.@@Brick_Crafts
Crazy idea, add a police/swat helicopter attached to an invisible string right above the factory, then add a rope from the helicopter on which police officers are climbing down on top of the factory roof
Amazing!!! I really liked how we saw the different angles in this video, it really feels like we were in the room exploring all of the little details!! I think adding in the rocks to the water would make the cliff feel more realistic, and it would explain why the city has a lighthouse, too! And maybe there could be a seagull sat on one
I definitely say that you keep the smaller rocks in front of the big cliffs. It's a little silly, but if you're looking for contrast, you can make the tops of them white and put a few seagulls on them lol.
For viewing purposes I think it’d be nice to add a semi-large hole in the factory’s walls looking into where the mob boss is closing a deal or something. Awesome vid!🔥
1:06 To make the future visitors be able to see inside the factory you could add some windows in the roof which also would give it some more realism as the "plantations" would get sunlight that way. Anyways, i really love this project! Love from Sweden
You could also have a fun mini story with the windows still in place but some ivy pulled aside by a police officer so visitors can see through the windows and it's plausible they didn't cover the windows because the ivy was already covering it
I like the additional rocks, the only edges of ocean I’ve been too with rocky cliffs always had a few rocks popping out of the water further ahead. I think keeping it as a tree trunk behind the houses on the upper level is the right call, the last thing someone wants is a root growing through their exterior wall. Maybe to help break up the monotony of the stone work continue some gardens behind the houses, or maybe some bushes/hedges for privacy if the houses have windows up there.
Hi, awesome work! About these houses in the gap - you could put there some kind of a small shop, or a stand. Sometimes houses on such cliffs have two entrances.
1. The windows of the factory could be blacked out/boarded up or some other way to block it for more realism, in such a way it's pretty clear that illegal stuff is being hidden. Then the doors open to reveal what is going on. 2. I like the rocks but maybe not so many, like 2 or 3 only. 3. I love this city, keep it up!
Well done!, one suggestion for the 'fruits' make them 3 green flowers tall hehe. Looks really good, fan was nice touch too! Light is good color for flowering, as orange i think would be too dark!
The layout is always just getting better and better! Hands down this is the best city build in my opinion. Would love to see some rooftop patios' or gardens on some of the buildings if the height and perspective angles suit them!
The tree looks great there. I say keep it! If it is an old warehouse maybe add a part of the roof missing or skylights so visitors can see done into it from above.
If your going to motorize the door, could you add a Lego character peeking their head out, they’ed look nervous and cautious, which would hint to people who don’t know that what they are doing is bad
Always great stuff! I do like the tree behind the house, like many have said, it maybe just needs to be a different kind of tree or a bit taller to see the trunk. Another option would be to convert that into a walkout patio for the house. Then you could have a table, chairs, people enjoying the day, or whatever other story you want to tell.
Maybe you can add roof terrace, where people can have a bbq or a party. Or a roof garden, with a greenhouse where tomatoes can grow and different kind of vegetables? Just an idea. I really like what you do with your city! Keep up the good work!😊
I think it could be very cool to have the roof of the old factory have a mostly glass roof so guests can easily see into it. It's actually fairly common for factories or warehouses to have large glass skylights, or even be mostly glass to let in natural light. It also would give more natural growing light for the "medicinal" plants they're producing
Great video. Love the factory. Got a great laugh out of that. For the tree, you made a great point about it growing above the house and I think it blocks the view of the street. Maybe put a garden or a hotdog/food cart? Good luck with that area. Enjoy the videos keep it up.
Everyone is saying to just make the tree bigger, but that might break the scale a bit. Perhaps changing the tree type to more of a coniferous pine tree like you have in the village would allow you to go taller without looking oversized.

I like the tree in that area, and an idea to the house is to make it a small rooftop deck for the residents' house
i think some flat tiles covering the old factory windows would work perfectly! just like in the set 60009 robber's hideout! amazing job as always! love the tree btw
Super clever addition, with realistic "greens" and a fantastic-looking factory.
The attention to detail is what makes this build so very good
You know it’s a good day When he uploads

6:17 maybe you can turn it into a small garden for the apartment.
+1
Haha you don’t live in a hilly place do you?
Add the rocks on the water. And keep the corner tree but make it a tad taller. Or maybe a different type of tree. Love everything. 🥳
In my opinion, the tree above the building's roof should be higher and the branches should be tilted to the viewer, so the leaves hang above the roof
Those plants look like the 420 variety. I see why the minifigures always stay happy!
definitely add those rocks. They look awesome! Also, as to motorizing the doors, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult with some gear racks. You could even hide the motors and stuff in the top part of that empty tower
For the old factory you should add wood planks over the windows to give a run down and allow some light inside!
Great video ofc, and I personally wouldn’t keep those little rocks by the cliffs, and I would get rid of the tree and add a bush that doesn’t make it look like it’s growing on top of the house 😊, thanks for the amazing video!
That factory building is absolutely gorgeous! Great job
That factory is perfect!!! have you considered using ball joints to achieve more interesting rock patterns? maybe something you could consider
It looks like this factory is made to produce joints... So that might work.
I hope when you will finish city area, you will do the underwater part of harbour with marine life and maybe sunken ship
you mention the design process and, honestly, i wouldn't mind watching a (short?) mommentated timelapse of that sometimes.
impossible to film a Timelapse of me constantly destroying and rebuilding things :D I tried it, but you don't see any progress ;-)
completely understandable. maybe with any premade set you get or as a sort of quick "here's how to build this cool little thing" at some stage. have you considered maybe having a fixed mounted camera overlooking the whole of the city? could make for a cool timelapse/before-after shot? none the less it is quite interesting watching the city grow.@@Brick_Crafts
I hope the lego Police can catch up to this Criminals 😅
Zaza plantation lmao

Amazing! Now that’s high quality content. Super entertaining
I definitely say that you keep the smaller rocks in front of the big cliffs. It's a little silly, but if you're looking for contrast, you can make the tops of them white and put a few seagulls on them lol.
that might be my favorite building in the lego city yet! the color palette is immaculate! incredible job as always
The little rocks in the water look great! They give extra depth!
Great update.
At 03:39 you nail the transition! And it gives a good view of the scale
Totally for the rocks near the diver
To keep with the kid-friendly vibe of LEGO, having the police wield lawn mowers and weed wackers would be a cute addition.
Tree looks great! 👍 I’m happy with it
That factory and surroundings is absolutely amazing!
Yea add greenhouse type windows on top on at least the side facing out to audience.
Yes! That would be a perfect solution. That way the viewer can see inside but the minifigures can’t
Great idea!
You could also have a fun mini story with the windows still in place but some ivy pulled aside by a police officer so visitors can see through the windows and it's plausible they didn't cover the windows because the ivy was already covering it
I was thinking more along the lines of having a weathered hole in the roof.
I think the rocks in the water look wonderful! A seagull or two sitting on the rocks would be a nice detail as well.
The factory is incredible! The tree would be great, but make taller and thinner, like a birch! Cheers and great work
Well done!, one suggestion for the 'fruits' make them 3 green flowers tall hehe.
The angle philosophy is really making your city one of the best I have seen on youtube.
