There are a lot of people with good genetics that look crazy. Let's be honest, even if it's genetics, she does take good care of what nature/mama gave her. No shame in being good to yourself.

I think that's true for people who just look good for their age, but when someone doesn't look their age at all, it's both. Skincare is healthcare and when you maintain it, like any other aspect of your health, you will look younger (because effectively you *are* younger - see horvath clock).

She looks great. This routine is a bit too much for me and I’m almost 49. I look like I’m in my 20’s. I believe my youthful look has a lot to do with my oily skin. Our beautiful melanin enhanced skin is a natural protection for us! Love your skin and for those who are trying to lighten your skin, STOP damaging your protected layer.

I knew an African with nice skin. Asked her what she did. She said unprocessed black african soap and raw unrefined shea butter. Her skin was flawless. Both of those ingredients have a majority of those nutrients in it from a natural standpoint which is really good for the skin.

Absolutely amazing! You do not look 49, you look like your mother would be 49. I can tell you take wonderful care of yourself and that goes a way, but frankly, when you look this good at 50 it's mostly genetics. Lord, were you ever blessed!

Think genetics and taking care of oneself is key to looking younger. People don’t believe my age but that goes with over 20 yrs of taking care of myself. As within, without. What goes into your body is as important as what goes on your body.

I'll be 55 this year and I get many compliments on my skin. I don't do anything other than soap and lotions. My friend fussed at me the other day asking what am I waiting on to start skin care so here I am looking for products and what to do with them.

I use olive oil soap fresh aloe raw and unfiltered honey as a spot treatment and acv diluted in water facial massager and ice roller twice a day plus vitamin c scrub and a clay mask once a week

Well at 35 yrs, I only cleanse,toner,serum /vit c, mosturiser and then argan oil! I want to introduce retinoids on my skin care cos I read that it fights aging! My face can't handle acids unfortunately but am glad I haven't wore foundation for almost 2 years now cos my face cleared up

Woooow that's a lot of steps. But if i can look this good when i'm 49 then let me take notes, lol !! Now do you follow this routine on no makeup days or would also put foundation/makeup routine on top of all those products? Also, have you ever had a negative skin reaction to layering all those products together such as the different ingredients and acids interacting?
I remember I used a Olay moisturizer years ago and it broke me out bad on my forehead. But other than that I have not. I typically do a little patch test before any new products. And yes I put this on under my makeup. It looks like a lot but in person it doesn't look like a lot. As you know these steps are not required. I have hyperpigmentation plus anytime I get a pimple it turns black so that why I use those products to help keep everything reasonably checked. Thanks a million for watching!

Cleanser: Iunik centella
Retinol: Drunk Elephant A-Passioni 1% (only at night)
Brightening: Murad
Cream: First Aid Beauty, ultra repair firming collagen cream
SPF: Kiehl's ultra light daily UV defense
I'm going to change to Unsun sunscreen now, because the one I use has a white caste (it's SPF 50 so expected, but I think SPF 30 will be sufficient).
