    Hi Kerry-Lou! I am a minimalist in both skincare and makeup…I seem to dislike any ‘heavy’ feeling on my face…often sunscreens and moisturizers actually feel like I’m wearing a mask, and it feels as if my skin can’t breathe. I often sweat even in cold weather after applying them. I have combo skin and am 57…so I find my best options are products for sensitive and acne-prone skin, even tho I have never had issues with acne. 😁 I love CereVe products best for this season of life for ease and budget. My gramma and mama always just used dove bar soap and a delicious smelling almond face cream {can’t find the name/brand for the life of me…both have transitioned, so even my ‘daily seances’ with them have revealed nothing 😁 Both had beautiful skin! Thank you for the video, and your calming, beautiful way of sharing.

      Thanks for sharing, yes, I know what you mean about the heavy feeling, that's why my daily moisturiser is the moisturiser/sunscreen combo dermalogica. My daughter loves the Cereve also, and she has lovely skin. Love that you "chat" with your loved ones, I do too, usually while I'm driving and I have some down time. ☺️

    I absolutely LOVE your philosophy about aging comfortably! I, too, choose my skin care products carefully and thoughtfully, enjoy the skin care routine, and then forget about it. I'm a total minimalist when it comes to makeup. ❤😊

My favorite is the CE Serum I use every morning. They bundle products too, which makes them affordable. Thank you for sharing your skin care regime.❤

    Great video, Kerry Lou! I had lots of sun exposure in my younger years when I felt a tan looked "healthy!" At 68, I am definitely paying the price now! I began using Elta's Tinted Sunscreen on my face and neck some years ago! And, I also like the feel and price of the CeraVe Eye Cream. However, I AM interested in trying the DRMTLGY, during its 25% off sale! Thanks for the information!

    So good to see you again and happy to know you visited the Southwest as I live in New Mexico. So true about the dry, hot heat in our area. I love how you reframed age, and it is so good to get rid of the term anit-aging. Kudos to you and Prai for using the term ageless; so much better. I am 61 and trying to age as best I can. So great to represent us women of a certain age. Great platform. Many blessings.

    Hello beautiful Kerry Lou. You keeping growing younger and looking even more gorgeous with every new videos... I have been a very meticulous person from my young age... Start with moisturizer, sunscreen and was off to work, but after coming back, cleansing was a must, the pollution over here is bad.. but as am aging iam so not into any anti ageing products..As you say, I want to age with all my wrinkles and spots😂. But yes..started using serum. Frankly speaking i had to keep changing my creams bec during my menopause my face was just not accepting my normal cream. I am an ardent fan of forest essentials its an Indian brand and very good. I also use Cetaphil cleanser ..it's a must for me. Thank you dear Kerry for such a wonderful and detailed video... As always sending you loads of love and positive energies 💕💕💕💕

I like what you said about protection from POLLUTION! that is a very important thing, and we don't really consider that aspect of skincare enough, after all, our skin is an organ that needs to be taken care of. I will check out Forest essentials 😘 Take care love! xx

      Hi. This was a very informative video. I lived in Costa Rica for many years and was unable to buy my favorite items. Dermatology was one. I have been trying many new creams and serums. I'm 62 and never leave the house without sunscreen, but my skin is oily and dry. Cetaphil did not clean adequately for me so I made my own cleanser. Its a foaming cleanser that is delicate, but you feel the clean and I love it. But I think I will save your video and return to dermatology and try prai. Thank you

    I have used Olay on my skin for years. I do use Curology at night for wrinkles. But in the morning I wash my face and put on a Vitamin C, and my moisturizer with sunscreen. Olay has an SPF 15. But I put a lot on my face, neck and ears. I moved to the south five years ago. And I haven’t had any problems. I was afraid it wouldn’t be strong enough. I do have a lot of other sunscreens. But I always go back to my Olay. My husband was always commenting on how much I buy. But I use the same thing everyday.

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for sharing! I used to use Olay with sunscreen for years when my kids were living with me, and I didn't have as much of a budget. High end products are very seductive, but you can get great results with drugstore brands, the key is being consistent as you are! Regarding your husband thinking you're buying a lot - man, he should see my bathroom cabinet 😂 My husband thinks I'm crazy - but he loves my skin! Also, it's a lot cheaper than so many treatments you could be doing. Keep up the good work!

  • @rabaile1

    This is so helpful, Kerry-Lou! I'm 65 and am ashamed to say I really didn't do much in the way of skin care until maybe a year or so ago - ha! The only good thing about that is, what you do use, lasts FOREVER. Anyway, in the last year I've started using the whole shebang. I've been ordering from Paula's Choice, I guess just because my cousin gave me some of their samples. Oftentimes, I'll get a free gift when I order, and I've got so much stuff now, I don't know WHAT I'm supposed to be doing WHEN or WHY, for that matter. :o) So now I know I only need to do one serum at a time (which I was anyway, but now I know I can rotate a.m. and p.m.). The one thing I'm really bad about (and have the sunspot on my face to prove it) is sunscreen. It just seems so HOT to me. And I haven't used an eye cream or neck cream. Your neck is just PERFECT. I've got your recommended serum and creme in my cart as we speak. Thanks a million. You're as BEAUTIFUL as ever. :o) Annette

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  5 месяцев назад +1

      So glad you found this helpful Annette! I wish more skin care companies offered samples. Some of the companies do sell small sizes now, so that's good. Regarding the sun screen, the DRMTLGY sunscreens are very lightweight, I think you'll like them. I hope you enjoy the neck treatments, I think they're a game changer!

    • @rabaile1

      @@kerrylou3 Well, I'll try the DRMTLGY sunscreens then. :o) I ALMOST ordered some in the other brand last night, but stopped myself, since I'd had those before and wouldn't use them. Thanks again!

      Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind comments. Your observation of hollow eyes is interesting, I believe that sometimes when people have an eye lift (blepharoplasty) a certain amount of fat is removed. I have seen that when done incorrectly, a person often trades hooded eyes for hollow looking eyes. I generally don't mind a little puffiness, but when I eat chinese food, I know the next day they will be REALLY puffy! 🙄 Sometimes you just gotta have that shrimp roll!

But I hear you, it's a lot of money to spend on ones face 🙄

    Anti-aging IS ageism. The Boomer generation is in full swing. Whatever! I am as relevant as ever and take care of my skin, mind and body at almost 66. Consistency is key. Question: do you believe we need 1/4 tsp of sunscreen? The DRMTLGY Day Dream sunscreen doesn’t seem to follow that axiom.

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  5 месяцев назад +1

      YES! I like that - full swing! Nice to hear your aging philosophy. Regarding the measure of sunscreen - honestly I've never really thought about how much I'm using - I just make sure I have a thin, even coat all over my face.

    • @MusicLover-sb7mo
      @MusicLover-sb7mo 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@kerrylou3 the hype from the other influencers is sunscreen doesn’t give you the full SPF factor unless you use 1/4 tsp. Often that equally 5 or 6 pumps. Another method of measure is a strip of sunscreen the length of 2 or 3 fingers. The volume of sunscreen is based on applying 2mg per square centimeter of skin as that is how it is tested when it is formulated. “They” say if you are only using a little bit, you are getting a fraction of the benefit on the label. Example: SPF 30 is 30 with a quarter tsp. But if just a pump or two, you are only getting the equivalent of SPF 10 from your 30. I just read a bunch of articles that backs this up. It seems excessive especially since it feels goopy and greasy. I personally only wear sunscreen if I am going to be outside for more than 30 minutes at a time. I don’t wear it inside even though UV rays go through windows. I often wonder if it is marketing so you go through it faster. I mean it is a multi billion dollar industry. Just curious what you thought.
