Thank you so much for telling us what you charge. I hate it when someone says, "It's a great seller and high profit." then refuse to say how much they charge for it.
I don’t mind at all sharing what I charge!
@@ACoastalMagnolia is resin safe to use with food. If someone was using the spoon to stir food I mean
@@sandyo8675 It depends on the resin you use. I use KS resin and it is considered food safe but to be on the safe side I think I would go up higher and just paint/resin the top. Love watching her videos!
@@sandyo8675 I would use them with food. Just Kitchen decor.
Tks for all the tips
You could cut a slit in a pool noodle, place the utensils in the slit and use masking tape between each one to keep them held in place while your working on them. I love the abstract quality of the designs. These are beautiful.
Thatis a brilliant idea!
Great idea
That sounds like a great idea & I think it would stay in better than taking it to the wood.
Great idea!
Wow! You are such a GOOD SOUL for showing your craft and listing all materials! I hope your business flourishes!
Thank you! ❤️❤️
@@ACoastalMagnolia They are very pretty. This is a great idea. Do buyers ask for tips on washing them?
they do, and I tell them hand wash only!
Very niiiiice! Next time I think you should make all Without the wire. Just my opinion . The others are better aesthetically in my opinion . Overall, they’re all beautiful.
What a great idea. I agree with the person who mentioned team colors. I would make some holiday themed. Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July with holiday charms ❤️
I think I will do some Christmas themed for sure! Being in Florida, I have to be careful on team colors, especially for the Gator/Seminole rivalry! 😂😂
@@ACoastalMagnoliacolors should be ok as long as it doesn’t have a logo on it.
These are lovely I think I prefer the unwired ones.
Reqlly? I'm kind of suprised to see so many people saying they prefer the unwired. The unwired are really pretty, but I know how much time, effort and cost can go into a wired piece, so I gravitate towards those. 😂 To me it took them right out of the realm of wooden utensils and dropped them squarely into being pieces of handmade art (aka a little piece of someone's soul/essence). Or, maybe OOAK kitchen jewelry!!! 😍
Try using a straw for blowing. You can control where the air goes better.
And it would save my hair! I decided last minute to blow the paint.
I made some of these. I taped mine to a pool noodle, attached to the arm of the tumbler Turner. Added the resin. Worked perfect!
That’s a grand idea!
Can u explain the pool noodle I don't get it
I see you struggling with the tape, and saw the pool noodle suggestions. But you could also use a second strip of wood across the bowl portion of the utensils, and use clamps on the sides. That way you would still have the weight of the board for stability, but they could be sandwiched between the boards and would be very stable. Just a thought.
That is a GREAT idea!
I was thinking the same thing! If you wanted to get really fancy, you could even take some non slip furniture pads, the rubber type, and create a little cushion for each utensil that would also have a little give for the unique shape of each. Then use a couple of adjustable toggle clamps on the end of your 2x4s…. That should give you a fairly sturdy, adjustable and easily flipped or positioned wherever you like, inside, outside…. Clamps are reusable if you need to replace the wood at some point for some reason… the rubber non slip pads are fairly cheap should they lose their memory after a while and not fill in the shapes….
On that note, this is a great idea…. So cute… and you’re right… I could see these being a hot selling item… really cute!
I agree with another piece of board like a jig and more stable.
Those are really pretty spoons. The charms give it an extra compliment. Great colors. Just my 1 cent
Oh thank you!
Beautiful. You always have new creative ideas. I work all the time and wish i could try to make stuff. Since i dont have time to do them, i just enjoy watching you create.
Thank you! I work a lot too, so this is my therapy!
I also live by the ocean and love love love ocean themed art.
I Love Those! I am going to make some red and white with strawberry, cherry and watermelon charms using the wire. Thanks for an exellent presentation.
oh, send me a picture! my email is acoastalmagnolia@gmail.com!
Some black, red and gold, athletic team colors burgundy, mauve and cream. Love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
Any colors you want!
These are such a great thing to sell! Ty for the idea. It looks so so cool! Good luck in your craft shows. I’m sure you will do great!!
I'm so glad you like them!
Maybe use a little mermaid trash on them. Super cute thanks for sharing this, love your work
Great idea!❤️
What is mermaid trash?
@@cindydavis597 it’s what she makes with sand and glitter it’s really cool, she has a video on how to make it
Such a great idea I’ll have to try this. love the colors you used. Thank you for the information Pat Pelfrey.
Wired for sure. A 2X6 with large binder clips attached would hold the utensils nicely. At least that's what mine will be. lol
Yes, that’s a great idea!
Absolutely gorgeous 🎉💣💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤑🤑 I like the wired and non wired. I want to try this!
Thank you for the inspiration and for telling us your prices, every area has different economics but it really helps me plan for my fairs! Ty
You are so welcome!
What great ideas you have, thank you. Those turned out beautiful
Thanks so much! 😊
❤thank you for the tutorial and revealing your pricing! ❤Very pretty project!
You are so welcome!
Love these!
I prefer the ones without wire but that is just preference.
Great idea! Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I really love those but prefer the ones that were not wired. These will make my list of Xmas gifts I need to make. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you like them!
So wonderfully artistic! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing idea, thanks for sharing, they are beautiful! I'm going to try this technique on some wooden handle bottle openers I have, I was feeling uninspired as to what to do with them, not anymore, thank you! xx
Thanks! have fun!
Great vlog, love the end result. I prefer the unwired embellishments, think they look more polished. Thank you for sharing. I will be giving this a try soon.
I do too, honestly. I made more - no wire!
Thanks for showing your process. They're really beautiful! 🎉
You are so welcome!
Really beautiful colors.. they look great, brilliant idea, thanks for sharing 👍 ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Thankyou they are really beautiful and colourful lovely idea for gifts ❤
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful. I am going to try this but I think I will just use UV resin to secure the charms, thanks for the idea
Great idea!
Those are gorgeous!
Thank you!
That looks like fun. I’m gonna try it out too. Thank you for sharing. 🩵🌹❤️
Hope you enjoy it!
Really cute idea! ❤
Thank you! 😊
These are gorgeous❤️Super nice job! Thank you for showing us❤
You are so welcome!
HELPFUL HINT BEAUTIFUL LADY:
1. cut a pool noodle and attach that to the board with a slit. Tape it all the way around in between the spoons to keep them more secure and separated.
2. Wrap the whole spoon area, this will take more time but less drip worries in the long run. After applying the resin, then set it up straight and let the left over just run straight down the wood and noodle because the spoon will be protected and just peel off after.
3. I wouldnt put the paint all the way down the whole handle. Leave more space, at least and inch more for those wanting to use it to stir sauces. People will be worried about the resin getting into the food.
All very good ideas!❤️
I don't get the pool noodle idea 😢
@@HydroPlant It basically becomes a second hand. Look at what she has and put tape inbetween the spoons to hold the tighter?
Those are so cute. Thank you for teaching us.
You are welcome!
Hi, I’m new to your channel. These turned out amazing thank you so much for sharing. I will definitely be back to watch more of your videos. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Thanks so much! 😊
Viewing from the caribbean wow love the ocean theme beautifully done 🌊🌊🌊
Aww, thank you!
great idea and techniques! I too like the look of the wired ones. Thanks for sharing!💖💖💖💖
Thank you! Cheers!
I love these! You are so creative, thank you for sharing your talent!
You are so welcome!
brilliant the way you mounted them to make it less of a potential paint mess.
thank you!
They are BEAUTIFUL!
thank you!
Very nice and what awesome artwork!
Thank you so much 😀
they look very pretty!
Great job!! Love the resin for the finished & wire.
Thank you! Cheers!
I am gould to try some for gifts. Am going to add string for a natural element. Maybe some sand.
Will probably use a different resin.
But great idea. ❤❤❤
Sand is a GREAT idea.
Beautiful.❤. Greetings from Cajunland South Louisiana. Gotta love the beach. Lol
The best!
Beautiful! Try using a 2nd 2x4 to sandwich the spoons with big clamp on each end ... if can't find big enough clamp, just drill hole at each end of 2x4 and use lag bolts to clamp them in the sandwich.
That's a great idea!
I love that there beautiful and look fun doing. it . Thanks for sharing your beautiful work I am going to try this out thanks again have a good day and please be careful out there
Thanks so much 😊
Very cute...thanks for posting!!!
Thanks for watching!
Wow there are beautiful, can you use it to cook,I ask because you used resin
It's food safe resin?
Thank you
Yes you can!
Maybe on the top or bottom use sand and then a seashell on top of the sand,so its a beach/ocean scene😊❤
I love that idea so much!
What a great idea!! They turned out beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, and thanks for stopping by!
This is a great idea. Only thinking of using them I would do the the handles higher.
YES I AGREE on that!
Very beautiful 👍🏽
Thank you! 😊
Love the spoons and love the colors! Both are beautiful, one's with wire and those without. You could do these in so many colors and charms. I would have to get me some of $Tree Large pink clips - use some of your resin put them in place. The spoons would be steady and would not fall off. Wonderful idea! TFS - Crafty Hugs!
Thank you so much! I love that idea!
Wow! This is so beautiful ❤Thank you❤
Thank you too!
Another really cute idea!😍
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for the great idea! 💙 I'm in FL and beachy items are great at shows. I really need to do some in person shows. The people love my art, and I always do items that are more affordable even though I will bring my bigger resin paintings. Functional art is a PLUS! What I really appreciate about you is that you give an idea of a price point which is always my issue. What to charge? I also will do a Two-fer as well.
I love in-person shows. I love setting up and meeting my neighbors, and I’m often set up in the same spot so we become friends! And then meeting people and talking about my art is so much fun. I love all of it! Have fun!
@@ACoastalMagnolia my last show was at the end of March. I really prepped for it .. got a professional banner matcvhing my bus cards. I made some money. It was fun! I'm in Okeechobee FL
The Vero Beach shows that Latitude 88 puts on is not too far from you! I do the fall show there in November. TONS of traffic.
I love these!! How did you display them at the fairs?
I have a pretty glass water pitcher that I display them in, handle side up, and then a few on an antique enamleware tray. I’ll do a video of my setup with them.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful video. You have a great talent 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Great idea, thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful idea and finished pieces. Thanks so much for sharing ❤❤
Thanks so much 😊
Hi! Nice to meet you. I don't know how I stumbled on to your channel but I'm glad I did. Love your idea! They turned out so beautiful! Have you thought of adding just a tiny bit of silver glitter or German glass on top? Thank you for sharing your process. GOD Bless 😊
Welcome!! I really love that idea!❤️❤️
I really love them… so cute
Thank you!
These are super cute❤
Thanks!
Love love love these!!❤❤
Thank you!
Very pretty...great ideA! ❤
Thank you! 😊
Very nice , I am an Artisan Jeweler and Crafter . I like your designs , I myself would rid yourself of the wire wrapping . And just glue beads down . As for practicality , I dont see them lasting long from washing them . But beautiful for wall decor. I do paint dipping in water . Swirling in different colors of paint , then dipping my project in and out .Let air drip dry and add coat. Also, I do resin ink painting on woodworking decor . I do love your creativity, and the colors are lovely.
Thank you! 😊
I absolutely love these. ❤❤❤ Great job 🎉😊
Thank you! Cheers!
I see Christmas money making idea right here! Along with great Christmas gifts too! Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and creative idea! This is the best thing I’ve seen in I can’t even tell you when…
🩵💙🤍🖤
Yes! These are HOT and you can make them in any color, with any beads (or no beads!). Have FUN and make $$$$
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work. Did you sell these as sets?
no, I sold them as singles.
They look great! I’ve done this to those wood bbq scrapers and used sports team’s colors for Fathers Day or for random gifts for people who do things for others.
That is so neat. Love the no wire look, but can you use them and wash them? One day i will have patience to do fun stuff like that.
Thank you! Yes, you can use them and wash them, by hand only! I use mine everyday!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
These are absolutely gorgeous and I really appreciate your step by step instructions. I don’t know the safety of the resin you use but it would concern me to just use a rubber glove and no special mask for your safety. Also I always understood that resin takes at least a month to fully cure. I do use the UV resin in the same manner as you. I can certainly see how you can’t keep those in stock!
Thank you! I have superb ventilation in my studio so I do not wear PPE. But you certainly should if you are concerned.
@@ACoastalMagnoliaI’m glad. Your spoons are gorgeous
These are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Is this food safe?
Yes 100%
I always enjoy your videos and especially like this one! Your setup is very functional, and I'm glad I still have some wood. Did you use a 4×4? I viewed your products but didn't see the guage of wire you used... and I also couldn't find the UV resin you used. I would like to purchase it so you can get the commissions. I sure wish I hadn't sold my gel light... It's so fun finding uses for my art with miscellaneous items around the house! Have a blessed day! 🙌
Argh! I forgot to add those links in the description! Thanks for the reminder! I used a 2x4 for this. I updated the description with the JDiction resin that I have upgraded to, as well as the new light I just bought. The wire I used in the video is a 22 gauge, but I have just bought a 20 gauge stainless steel wire that should work MUCH better. I have a link also for that. Have Fun!
@@ACoastalMagnolia Thanks.. I felt like an idiot after I asked what size of wood you used to mount the kitchenware. 🙄
New subscriber here. 👋 The spoons turned out so pretty!
Thank you!
Suggestion: glue a layer of foam, about the same thickness as spoons on two pieces of wood and then sandwich the bamboo utensils and clamp together and then you can flip and they will also be the same distance from table.
That’s a really good idea! I could use a pool noodle.
Love these. I have wanted to try Resin but haven't yet. I was just wondering if it is possible to leave the hole open so they can also be hung. I just recently found your videos and love your creations. Thanks so much for the videos.
Yes, absolutely!
Really cool idea thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Have you tried to do a “dip” with these handles. When you were showing how you paint one side then flip over, I thought she should dip. The dip is spray paint on water
I have tried a hydro dip before, but I like this better! Hydrodips are awesome!
Very pretty!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi love these! I never worked with resins. I understand to the point when you applied the resin, coated each utensil , checked for drips - then I’m lost! Do you need to use the up light to cure each one? How long ?
Thanks I’m going to try them as gifts
I used regular resin that cures over time, not UV. But you definitely can use UV resin!
Really clever! Love❤❤❤
THANK YOU!
very cool. Quick question about using the spoons with the resin coat? Do you need to use a special non toxic resin coating, since the spoons will be used with food. TY for any feedback.
They are meant to be decoration only
KS Resin is food safe when fully cured.
@@ACoastalMagnolia thank you so much for your reply.
Try drilling small holes on the sides for the wire wrap. That way u get the look on the designer side while not the other.
Great idea!
Have you tried clamping two boards to sandwich the utensils?
I did, and it worked really well.
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 😊
Is this a food grade resin? I do not even know if there is such a thing. Just wondering? They are beautiful!
Yes, this resin is food safe for incidental exposure.
Different colors I have green in my kitchen or tiny succulent charms I prefer no wire .
I’m thinking no wire, or wire after resin, like the thicker wire that I can twist and wrap in a. design.
🎉what do you mix with the paint? Thanks for sharing.
Floetrol and water!
Gorgeous! Are they sold as a set?
thanks! I sell them individually
Very nice ! Thank you
Thank you too!
Wow love this idea!!! How much do you sell them?
Not sure yet, but probably $10-12. Maybe a bundle if you buy more than 1? What do you think? This would be fun for your girls!
@ACoastalMagnolia I've already talked to the girls about it, and they love the idea too! Would definitely do bundle deals. Where all excited to start are Christmas projects. Will send you pictures 😊
Very pretty 😊
Thank you! 😊
I love it. ❤😊
Thank you!
Nice!💙
Thanks! 😄
is it food safe like sticking into deep fry or boiling pots?
Yes, these are food safe.
