My biggest cleaning hack that I follow is cleaning along with a TV show. I have a specific TV show that I put on my TV in the background while I clean (if there isn't a hockey game on cleaning night, that is! LOL I'm so Canadian), and so I sit down to watch the show like a normal TV night and then I clean during the commercials! It's kind of like your laundry hack, where I see how much cleaning I can get done during each commercial break. Then, because I have arthritis, it's nice to know that when I'm cleaning, I have a specific time that I can sit down and relax during the cleaning process (when the show is actually on). And my other biggest hack is to just clean as you go! If you use a dish, put it in the dishwasher immediately after using it or at least return it to the kitchen so you can load them all that night. If you spill something, wipe it up immediately, and dispose of any food wrappers immediately after opening them

@@KiaraMadisen My biggest issue when I'm cleaning is getting bored. I have ADHD and I'm really bad at actually doing the adult tasks I'm supposed to because I find them boring, so I try to always have something playing in the background!

My goal is always to clean a little each day so that it never gets too bad in our home. We purchased a home recently and it is much bigger than anywhere we have lived before so cleaning a little each day has turned into making sure the main spaces aren’t completely filthy 😅

Baking soda + warm water + vinegar is my go to mixture to clean every surface in the washroom (except for mirrors/glass that I use water and vinegar or windex) also works well with kitchen sink

My cleaning hack is that organize & clean in a way that serves you not in a "pretty" way. For example if you have a key hook but you leave your keys on the entryway table all the time. Maybe put a bowl for the key on the table.

I just cleaned my dorm last night, put away clothes I won’t be wearing any time soon, bc tbh not a lot of clothes space in dorms lol and just reorganized. My hack would be I love cleaning when others aren’t there so I can put in my headphones and blast music. You don’t want people watching you dance and scream sing and stuff lol! I hate cleaning my shower/tub so I keep a dish wand in my shower and use it to scrub the tile a little bit every time I shower while I let my conditioner set in!

My favorite cleaning hack is I use coffee filters to wipe Windex on my mirrors and glass, it literally leaves zero streaks!

My cleaning hack is very specific but if you have a ceiling fan you want to clean without moving the furniture below or covering it up, put a damp pillowcase on the end of a broom and run it over the blades. The dust will stick to the pillowcase instead of spreading all around.
I need to send this hack to my parents asap...they have a very dusty fan lol
Question. Before you make a video, which stage do you like the most when you make a video: pre-production, production, or post-production? And which one takes the longest?
Production is my fav, post-production def takes the longest and gives me headaches 😂
How is Dustin, the vacuum, working out for you? Does he pickup a lot of dirt? He seems to work in smaller areas. I think my house is too big for him. He might work in like an apartment and not a house. I might have to still vacuum myself. You gave him a perfect name.
Haha yes Dustin is doing great...he's fab for my apartment, my parents use theirs a ton too...especially for the hardwood floor because the vacuum just spews it...but yes they still need a good carpet vacuum too ;)
@@KiaraMadisen I was curious if Dustin would work for my house because it's 2200 sq ft. Only my bedrooms are carpet and the rest of my house is hardwood flooring. I love owning a house but maintaining it is so much work. I don't mind vacuuming it by hand. I'm afraid a vacuum like Dustin might miss some spots.

Do you fry food a lot? I learned that when you wipe down the cooking oil right after you fry like fish, it doesn't harden and a lot easier to clean. Why do write a list of things to do? Just in case you don't miss anything? I just recently lived in a apartment and now have just bought a house and boy what a huge responsibility in cleaning. My house is twice the size of my apartment. Not fun doing house cleaning but I enjoy living in a house way more privacy. 😀

When I need to soak something with a stain I start that process with some Zote soap bar and leave it while I do something else. So not really a hack but more like organizing the tasks to get more done in a certain amount of time.
And depending on the cleaning task I'm doing I either have music or a podcast playing.
Yes I love that! Stain removal to me is one of my least favorite tasks...hence why I always convince my mom to do it 😂

Why did you decide to buy a nice car over a house? You seem well off. You can't get a decent house in Portland for 800k, unless you live outside of Portland. Some people are predicting a housing crash coming. Maybe if that happens, you can buy a more affordable house within the time you want to buy your house.
I wasn’t ready to buy a house when I bought my car at 20 and was still in school. I may seem well off but all the money I saved has now been spent on school and I’m very stressed about the next few years finding a job as a nurse, paying all my bills, and working to pay off my student loans before I buy a house, lots to think about and yes I totally need a housing crash if I can even afford a fixer upper 😂
