I have modded fallout 4 to become a horrible, punishing zombie apocalypse.
Weapon Mods, Armor Mods, Loot Changes, Spawn Replacements, AI Changes ETC
In this video I will be trying to survive as a Sniper who is over-watching a crossroads. Sniping anyone who travels along it.
KEY MODS:
Zombie Walkers - Ghouls are slow and spawn loads
True Damage - Damage based on bullet, not gun
Scourge - Health does not increase on level up, no scaling for it
Player Undeath - On death, loose caps, drop gear and respawn random/settlement
Fallsouls - the game does not pause at all
Damn Apocalypse - Loot is location dependent and rarer.
Chemfluence - AI combat changes

Two things, one, you may want to consider getting the Night Person perk ASAP, and two, you’ve straight up made a raider's sniper nest.

Added some of my own horror music also. 😅
Its originally a happy upbeat piano track. the same track is playing in both ears, slowed down to 0.1, one is reversed. Creates utter disgust. 🧑🍳
most likely the reason you have problems with enemies being nearby and being in combat is that there are zombies in the car park next to you that havent died, so when you walk around they aggro onto you.
EDit: wrote this before the end of the vid, also maybe placing some barrel fire lights around the intersection would help light it up for night sniping.

you deffinetly need a better scrapping mod and a location damage mod for those extra headshots
Like the "scrap everything" mod?
He could try the true damage mod, where headshots are basically instant kill, but that’ll also affect him too, so he’d need to be way more cautious in fights with people and super mutants.
@@decimation9780 that's a little riskier than the reward in my limited opinion. Xbox version was real buggy unless it was real selective against the AI when I used one. Also gotta balance viewer experience, and his own as well.
@@wackjob3758 Well considering the vibe and play style he’s after, True Damage wouldn’t be a bad choice, and he’s said that this isn’t a permadeath play through, it's just that he’s basically playing by Survival Simulator rules, where everything he has on him stays where he dies when he respawns back at base.
@@decimation9780 True. But still, I think we all want him to enjoy his gaming at the same time too, right? Best we leave it up to him. Not like we're gonna stop watching over a choice in a mod. HE'S GOOOOOOD. God tier good in my opinion (Edit: What do I know though, Xbox mods ain't PC mods)

I believe the enemies they keep making you not be able to sleep or work on your guns is because there are enemies in the parking garage.

Man after my own heart, love the role play, love snipers, LOVE LOOT TOO 😆 …highly entertaining video cool calm, funny and well narrated/edited. I’m on Xbox doing similar plays of F4. Just a suggestion I use the mod “Anarchists cookbook volume 2”, it has concussion/flashbang grenades…bouncing Betty’s mines, throwing knifes, throwable flares and the 1 that I think will interest you is the “signal flare alarm” which is a landmine type device (powerless) that shoots a flare into the air,when an enemy trips it, be useful for the roads leading to the crossroads,alerting you to incoming targets and the bounce Betty will protect your azz on the stairs like the old Cod sniper days. All the mods explosives are craft only and take ingame components to craft. FYI the signal flare alarm needs either ring stands or beaker stands, which are hard to find…but may work well with your loot mod you use, making loot locational, I’d expect beaker stands to be in science/medical facilities. Where you’ll probably go for your meds. I also use a mod called handmade turrets, 3 craftable turrets made out of pipe weapons (more homemade looking), but 2 of them need power, and I build a fall back area incase I get over run using the turrets connected to a tripwire. I can see a sexy little kill zone at that crossroads, putting tripwires at locations where npcs use it for cover ie next to sandbags, once you open fire and they scatter for cover. You can even place cover for them 😉 😉 baiting them up.

I do! I stream a guy trying to become a Raider/Bandit Highway man. Setting up at County Crossroads, trying to make a base with settler's dressed up like raiders.

If you wanna add an extra layer of immersion/difficutly make it so that you only choose to eat processed/cooked food. Change your flashlight to the tactical red lense (or just change the settings that your pipboy light is red). Set up redlights in the base that you can throw on with a switch to illuminate your 'nest' in tactical red light.
That rug really tied the room together.
This series makes me wanna hit the Lucky 38 and join the NCR, and also explode Gamorra

If possible, for the lil kill alley you could remove/block the concealed cover the ai typically uses and place intentional cover for them to go to like shopping carts. It would prevent them from rushing and you could take advantage of the ai path finding to give you easy shots, or set it up so it helps funnel large groups so once they’re close enough you can rain grenades on em. I think it would fit the ambush sniper roleplay pretty well
I hear you, but if i make it toooo easy it will become boring. I will do a little improvements to the crossroads.
Then again, if its too easy i can just turn settlement attacks on
Did you think about taking over part of the car park. The traps already in there would make for good defence and immersion
Personally I'd add a fence/barrier around the bottom of the stairs with a gate on it

You not thought about adding a wall on the stairs to help defend your turret. It's only there to defend your door & not to shoot down. Stops you having to keep using recourses to repair it. Block others from noticing it then shooting at it like that raider did.

Another thing that you could easily do is add traps that catch enemies which are relatively immersive and check them in the morning or whatever.

Every player probably knows this but I like that you knew to put spare mods on the gun you were scrapping *after* getting Scrapper 3
This interpretation of the game is great! Made me rethink about all my gaming experience with Fallout! Now I need to be a stealth sniper too
I'm glad you didn't just scrap all the M14's, I have a soft spot for them since the civilian model is one I've been shooting since my childhood.
edit: Idk how the AR10 is in game, but I'd have to imagine it's a fairly good weapon for mid-range combat given its use of a larger caliber and being a carbine
I can see why you'd want some lights after that night raid, and those were some great grenade tosses to boot!

Hey bro, really enjoyig this series, your laid back vibe is much appreciated. I think your flickering textures may be caused by scrap everything. It tends to break precombines which can cause flickering textures. I've had precombine related issues from other sources and in some cases complete areas (im talking about you concord) can become an absolute shit show. flickering ground, walls, everything. some stuff outright becoming invisible. Just something to consider in your modlist, keep up the great vids!

The darkness in the bridge interior really tanks the video quality, kinda blurry and pixelated.
Some spotlights into that intersection would look nice and help you shoot the "totally-not-evil-people" when they jaywalk.
This actually makes me want to pick up fallout 4 again, your great sir.
Mods are a powerful drug
I'm trying something similar but the travelers and caravans are so few and far between but it seems that you get one somewhat regularly. I'm using travelling npc's as well but still very few travelers do you have some specific settings or certain mods that increase frequency?
I have changed the setting so that the max number can spawn, and that they respawn fast.

Might want a night vision mod and the mini workbench mod so you can more easily craft everything
Double check make sure nothing is wandering around in the car park, It might be whats triggering the enemy detection if so.
Further investigation of the car park is planned

There needs to be some sort of mod that makes high calibres like 50. Cals and such to dismember limbs much easier

May want the scrap everything mod? If i remember correctly itll let you scrap spare weapons and random junk you find. Will add some realism while still giving that little boost thats needed for metals and screws and stuff

I have scrap everything. When you use mobile workshops you dont have as many options as if you were in a settlement

But i thought it still gave better scrapping options for random stuff you pick up as well
Is there anywhere youd have a list of what someone would need to do to be exactly like your playthrough regarding spawns and stuff? Minus that specific location? I have problems finding and setting everything using the pip boy

I would also hide the turret around the corner more & maybe use the shot gun turret instead. Am also shocked you've not added some lights that you can turn on & off when you want to. Even add a flame trap.

Is there any way you could brighten up the night segments in post? I have the brightness maxed on my phone and it’s still super hard to see what’s going on. I could barely tell what was happening when you were fighting the gunners.

Hey why not make a night vision scope for your sniper or night vision glasses? But only use it when you sespect something near by and make booby traps near cars and sit back and watch the firework lol.
