@@thenotsoamazinggracetnsag3463 I think they mean that larger cat breeds (as opposed to your typical DSH) tend to have shorter lives. It was explained to me when I worked in an animal hospital that big animals' organs have to work harder to maintain life, so they die younger. IDK if that's true, but that's what one of the doctors told me.
They do feel disgust. I was sharing a place and got a cat. One day messing around in the bathtub,- the other cat walked by, and wrinkled his face, and bent back his ears at the new guy.
I love the way while he's getting his 'Brazilian' his tail just flicks up and down, but he has a look of resignation his face... sort of 'if it's got to be done, okay, but I don't like it... just be careful with the tackle, lady.'
the matting reminded me of when I told my dad our cat had a mat at his bum, and he sat down, cat in his lap (his favorite human was my dad), and he tolerated my dad undoing the matting methodically for like an hour. Like, no freaking complaints. He looked at us from dad's lap with HUGE eyes, but nah. No claws, hissing, struggling, nothing. Important to note, he was our loudest cat XD
That's awesome. I have a guinea pig named Mae, she let's me touch all over her. She once had hay stuck in her eye and I was able to slowly take it out without holding her down or even holding her at all. It's real amazing to have an animals trust like that.
I can do that with most every of the cats I've encountered, except for the 18yo at my parents farm due to the severity of the matting - she's patient for about five minutes before getting enough. We just cut it out instead, and then I can weed out the smaller bits.
Mamma woke me up at 5am in the morning with our dear old Keekee. She had just taken her home and as I am best with the cats between us she needed me to help her out. Poor baby was dumped and had poop impacted on her tush because of her long fur. Nearly vomiting and a bathtub scrub later she was clean and in relief.
Wow, he took that Brazilian like it really was just another day at the spa! The razor sounded pretty loud and he didn't even seem to mind it at all. Impressive !
My Maine Coon was never great about grooming herself, all that hair was more than she could handle and at about 12 years old wound up so matted I had to take her to a groomer. By the time they snipped off all the clumps she had so many bald spots they recommended just shaving her whole torso. She put up with it surprisingly well, and though she looked silly with just her head, legs and tail fluffy Summer was coming up and she LOVED her new buzz cut, and being petted like that seemed like a heightened sensory experience for my sweet old girl. And as her fur grew back I learned to brush her good every day BEFORE she got tangled and.... bitey.
I've got a giant floof, he looks like he probably has Maine Coon in him (foster fail, so no idea). He's only one and regularly gets mats, so I've bought clippers and a brush to try and keep on top of it. His fur is literally the length of my hand in places, so it's difficult for him to keep on top of. Though watching him try to bathe the really long spots is hilarious... *lick.. keep licking.. ahhh finally got to the end*
I've got a flame point Siamese mix of some sort (he was a stray baby with his two siblings and mama cat when my fiancèe found him) and he is FLUFFY. We have to brush him with a Furminator every few weeks and when we do we end up with enough hair to make another cat...
Have a 17 pound maine coon mix. Lol He tries, but can't keep groomed because his fur is longer than his neck. 😂 thankfully he enjoys being brushed. Our other long haired cat (all 8 pounds of her lol) won't let you near her with a brush.
my partner and i adopted a persian mex a year or so ago and we got her shaved down for the summer. if we had known how much she loves it we probably would have done it a few weeks sooner
Our younger norwegian forest cat behaves the same when we groom her, no biting or scratch, just meows of complaints to tell us when something hurts, they are a very tolerant and intelligent breed, a delight to have her in our life 🥰
I loved how he blinked at her after she realized combing the matting was too much for him. The communication between her and the animals never ceases to amaze! He gave her a slow blink 🥺👉👈
Since he is a Norwegian, and what wasn't told in the video is, that Norwegians (and Maine Coons afaik as well) have a quite thick undercoat, so it is quite hard to get the skin wet and cold... Also their paws have more fur between the toe beans - snow shoes :). I know one Norwegian Forest Cat who goes into the shower with its owner by his own choice....
@@sallywhite7678 as they get older, sometimes it's hard for a cat to clean him or herself, and if they can't clean that area, it can get very bad, especially if they also have long hair.

Some cats are deeply attached to their humans, they want to be arount them all the time. Also, some cats are very sociable. My 2 cats are always around when I have guests and are very happy to blend in the "group". Laying on the floor belly up or paying attention to what we say, trying to cuddle their favorite guest or inspect someone's bag, if open. Mine are former strays, but Norwegians are by nature sweet, sociable, loving kitties. So fear of missing out might happen to those adorable fluffy angels.

He is majestic & beautiful and I think he has a wonderful temperament! Good job 👍
He's really alert for his age, hope that means he's got a couple more years left in him! 🥺
some cats can live past 20, so he has more than a couple years in him
@@myheartbelongstowhat Unfortunately bigger cat breeds have the same fate as big dogs: they usually live a shorter life
@@Diskuli But Isn’t your average cat smaller than a larger dog breed?
@@thenotsoamazinggracetnsag3463 I think they mean that larger cat breeds (as opposed to your typical DSH) tend to have shorter lives. It was explained to me when I worked in an animal hospital that big animals' organs have to work harder to maintain life, so they die younger. IDK if that's true, but that's what one of the doctors told me.
My big boy kitty lived til 21. I had him since I was 7
Am I the only one who enjoys that look of disgust in a cat’s eyes when they’re irritated with you? Such personality!!! 😍🥰
Felinality personality
ha ha, the look of disdain is priceless.
He's got the look!😅😅😅😅
They do feel disgust. I was sharing a place and got a cat. One day messing around in the bathtub,- the other cat walked by, and wrinkled his face, and bent back his ears at the new guy.
And the best part is how it only lasts for a few seconds before they forget they just hated you
he looks like a very distinguished gentleman
Very distinguished, I see
look at the way he is sitting
Mmm, yes, very distinguished indeed
Looks like he's wearing a tuxedo.
He's a very handsome gentleman!
He definitely looks like a cat that gives you quests out in the forest haha
I love the way while he's getting his 'Brazilian' his tail just flicks up and down, but he has a look of resignation his face... sort of 'if it's got to be done, okay, but I don't like it... just be careful with the tackle, lady.'
it was very much a "im to old for this shit"
the matting reminded me of when I told my dad our cat had a mat at his bum, and he sat down, cat in his lap (his favorite human was my dad), and he tolerated my dad undoing the matting methodically for like an hour.
Good Dad. Good Cat. ❤
@@amalgamfrostpink5030 Aw thanks for saving a sweetheart ❤
Such a regal kitty.
Wow, he took that Brazilian like it really was just another day at the spa! The razor sounded pretty loud and he didn't even seem to mind it at all. Impressive !
He’s not ashamed of what he’s got
@@allyenderman1502 it's possible to take all that excess fur and turn it into fleece and yarn!
Our younger norwegian forest cat behaves the same when we groom her, no biting or scratch, just meows of complaints to tell us when something hurts, they are a very tolerant and intelligent breed, a delight to have her in our life 🥰

What a beautiful kitty!! And he had a very even temperament during his bath. The blow drying is really a lot to ask of any cat, in my opinion 😊
Bandit getting blow dried: “This wind makes me look like I’m running fast!”
What a cutie 🥰
Auditioning for a cartoon action movie
I love how during his brushes he’s all, “Ow. OW! Seriously. Ouchie!” Then he’s fine with getting shaved.
I loved how he blinked at her after she realized combing the matting was too much for him. The communication between her and the animals never ceases to amaze! He gave her a slow blink 🥺👉👈
What a beautiful chill cat…..
Hello Linda how are you doing today
"I can't tell if he's enjoying this, or if he has no thought." Priceless!
Hello Liz how are you doing today
We used to have a Norwegian forest cat, he passed away when he was 17. He was such a sweet boy and just so chill and lovely
That was the most calm cat I've ever seen get a bath in my entire life.
My long-hair calico is chill when a groomer takes care of her, but NOT when I do. The bitch...
@@katho8472 Good to know. They're beautiful cats and it's interesting to hear history on various breeds.
He’s so handsome
Majestic air ballet and majestic blep, all from a majestic cat
The blep was majestic indeed 🐱💕
The contrast between his perfectly cool, calm and regal demeanor and his wall dancing in the happy hoodie has me in absolute stitches.
Maybe he is claustrophobic! Or just tired of being groomed. lol
The dramatic music while he was dancing is what really makes it 10x times funnier
His distant stare when you're shaving his junk is perfect
"Tomorrow I will take a good dump in your shoes."
"Think of happy thoughts. This is _normal,_ this _is fine._ I'm fine."
I didn’t know their “junk” had to be shaved. 🤭Beautiful cat!❤️🐈
@@sallywhite7678 Well, these metro-kitties these days... whatcha gonna do?
@@sallywhite7678 as they get older, sometimes it's hard for a cat to clean him or herself, and if they can't clean that area, it can get very bad, especially if they also have long hair.
1:11 what a cute little mamushka.
14 years old and Bandit still has the eyes of an innocent kitty. That’s how I know he’s been loved and pampered his whole life❤
i love his calm "hey, that hurts!" meow and hiss and you switching to the razor to make it easier
Ohhh my god, I absolutely lost it when the cat got dried off!! The headpiece making it look like an old russian lady, the attitude of the cat, the body size compared to the head size, the epic music while it is calmly scratching the glass! It is perfect! My god, does anyone else find this at least a little bit funny?! xD

He's Fabulous!❤❤
Hello Linda how are you doing today
My sisters Norwegian cat is just like him. He's around 4-5 and never heard him say anything. He's so intelligent and has severe case of FOMO (fear of missing out)! 🤣 He doesn't like pets, but he is so curious of everything. His favorite activity is watching when you're making food and sniffing the ingredients. ❤
Uh, FOM? 😁
I also ask, FOM?
I’m assuming “feeble old man”
Some cats are deeply attached to their humans, they want to be arount them all the time. So fear of missing out might happen to those adorable fluffy angels.
do you mean FOMO? "fear of missing out"
I love that you changed what you were doing when he hissed, respecting an animals boundaries is so important!
That is one beautiful chilled cat (most of the time!) At 1:30 he looks like a little old lady in a headscarf, trying to walk home in a storm!!
His face! During the bath! "What is happening? Is this normal? Am I in space?" 🤣
He is gorgeous and so well tempered.. You know a cat is big when even after all the fluff is wet, they still look like a full cat.
no hip bones showing him ! He's a healthy boy.
The tongue tip sticking out gets me. My kitty does that sometimes when she wakes up from a deep sleep, and never fails to put a smile on my face.
It’s called “blepping” when they do that
The look of complete indifference on his face as you gave him a Brazilian- priceless! 🤣
What a gracious and lovable cat Bandit seems to be.
"I can't tell if he's enjoying this, or if he simply has no thoughts"

'Typically quiet and rarely meow'
My Norwegian Forest cat doesn't stop, he screams at everything. He'll do laps around the house and meow at everyone before he poops, just to let everyone know where to find him
Can confirm
Don’t you love the celebratory poop songs? Cats are great. 😂
@@batacumba I love it. The songs of his people
yeah ours incessantly meows at everyone for belly rubs, where he'll run in front of your feet and roll around
DD from Kittisaurus is a big boy and he doesn't typically meow. When he does it is usually a tiny 'mew.' Love those cats.
Ok this cat was very well behaved and docile as far as cats being bathed goes. Even when he hissed it was more like him saying "ow that hurt"
He displayed no aggression and simply let himself be heard
Right bro. My cat would NEVER 🤣
That's what I was thinking, he was definitely saying that one hurts!
He was such a go9d boy! He's been groomed a lot! What a pretty kitty!
Seeing that title made me tear up, we had a Norwegian forest cat when I grew up and she was the sweetest thing, she had the same colouring as bandit. Though she would not have sat still while you put water on her. I miss her, she's been gone for years, but something in seeing Bandit brought it back. She turned 13 before she passed, and she was a proper old lady
Ok, but the look on his face, when you said he might not have any thoughts 😹
I can see the look of,complete disgust on this cat’s face! Just trying to be patient with the bath!
I think i know what he might be thinking.
Bandit thoughts: If the bats are flying mice so what are the mice? A bats who's wings have fallen apart?
i know exactly what he was thinking... "what fresh hell is this?"
That look on his face when you were giving a brazilian is classic.
Absolute gold... that face of the things i have to endure!
his whittle toof.. ❤
The little snood was cracking me up! Never seen a cat allow a paw trim before. What a good boy he was. Also, the names of those poodles were perfect. 😂
