Not exactly a speed demon but it runs everything well: Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovie, etc. With Leopard I had a few crashes, but now it's running better than ever. Mountain Lion is a great OS. The onoff button on Mac Mini M4 is a joke! That is BAD design. Seen so many people defending this bad design, I don't know why.
I agree that we can put the Mac into sleep so it's almost shut off and we can wake it up anytime, so we almost never need the onoff button. But when we actually need that onoff button, it's important to have easy access! I hope Apple will fix this ASAP and to be realistic we have to wait for Mac Mini M5 or M6... so 1-3 years!

Should anything in that image fail, it can easily be replaced, even if anything internal fails. PCs, Especially custom built ones, give you the freedom to open it up, and replace any defective parts. Can you easily do that with an iMac? No, you can't. That's a deal breaker.

The first Mac I used was the original from 1984. I grew up using it, and even back then I laughed in my diapers at people who were scared of Macs cos they thought they might be too complicated or something. I shook my rattle and laughed I tell you!

I can imagine one day it will literally be a 5mm thick sheet of glass with the aluminium stand and that’s it the entire iMac is just 5mm all over Face ID curved corners on the display no chin could have a 4mm bezel all the way around

Heat on the outside comes from where? Sure in some cases, exterior heat caused by the internals is better... But when your macbook pro gets hot enough that touching the palm rest becomes uncomfortable, to an end user it is a bad thing.
    And yes, palm rest.
