      Thanks!! First one we've done in 4K, it came out cleeeeeeaaaan. I had to throw out a lot of the footage from the trolling motor perspective though unfortunately, the footage was really wonky.

    You guys rub it in lol. Got 70 fish the other day and one bass. Chatter bait hasn’t work for me this year. Great job guys

      Thanks bud. Give it time. This is by far the hardest time of the year to fish, it's never easy, and exceptionally rare for it to be this good!

    Where the heck are u guys finding consistent fish that big up here?!? I had a day like this in Orlando w my father using shiners when I was 19 but I have never seen fishing like this up in mass, it doesn’t even look like a big lake!!! Any suggestion on a fishery north or Boston in the lowell Nashua area??

    • @ReelNorthernBass
      @ReelNorthernBass  Год назад

      lol thanks man, just years and years of fishing different spots a bunch of times to understand the best times to hit them at the best times of the year, and finally being lucky enough to be on the water when everything hit right. There's sooo many places in Mass and NH that can kick out a bag like this here and there, it's not often but it does happen enough times it's not a rare thing either. I'm not too familiar with anything to fish in the Lowell area, but I do know that most places near there or just west of it in quieter towns, those ponds are mostly private places so you'd have to know someone to get on them. For Nashua area, there's the Nashua River with a public ramp off exit 5 behind the DPW, that whole stretch of the river can be a real pain but it also had BIG largemouth in it, it's worth the grind. NH has a really good source on the Fish and Game website for showing all of the state owned ramps, as well as town owned ramps (which each depth map will also tell you if the ramp is public or private, and if it can handle a bass boat or just cartoppers). I believe Mass has something similar too!

    Hi guy’s, BassBrainiac from Fishbrain here. I’m from Mass and was born with a fishing pole in my hands, but when I went away to College I stopped and didn’t start up again for 20 years, in 2020. To say it simply, the sport has evolved A LOT! What is the best way to send questions to you related to equipment/gear suggestions? Thank you

      Hey Marc! If you hit me up on Fishbrain I'll get back to you on there, I've been slacking keeping up with that app and some other things due to the new job change recently. Back into the full swing of things now though! If I don't answer there quickly enough, you can always hit me up on Instagram!

    I’ve learned two very important things from this channel:
    1. Vary your speed
    2. Wear a helmet when your co angler is aboard

    Where are you without ice?

    • @ReelNorthernBass
      @ReelNorthernBass  2 года назад

      Pretty much everywhere in Mass now, everything in New Hampshire from lakes region and south at this point too, especially south and east of Laconia area. But most of that area isn't far from ice out now!

    Im not seeing other boats in the background- so I assume where you are doesnt get much pressure- I hope your not just hauling Ladies off their beds- Thats not sporting to the fish

    • @ReelNorthernBass
      @ReelNorthernBass  2 месяца назад

      This was in March, when the water temp was still 45-47 in the main lake, and when the majority of bass anglers in the northeast still aren't fishing yet. I loathe bed fishing and go out of my way to avoid it at all costs, which is a big reason why I travel so much during that time of the year. I chase that prespawn bite as far north as the Canadian border of Champlain, then I go back south into Massachusetts or Connecticut to find the post spawn bite. If I find I'm still stuck fishing in the spawn, I'll catch a couple just to make the long drive worth it, then head home very early in the day. It's just not for me, there's nothing to be gained from it as it's literally the easy thing any angler can do. I've posted a few Shorts on here showing people you can catch smallmouth on a bare hook, no bait needed, just to prove how easy it is to catch a spawning fish off of their bed.
