Thanks for the video. I have the Same background started as a mechanical engineer to data scientist. For me having a domain knowledge in mechanical engineering especially in energy sector really helped in providing edge to others in competition. Sometimes background helps!
1) completed a basic course on python in udemy at the very beginning . Did not made me a pro but help in knowing the extend of python. 2) I started with easy challenges on Leetcode to see I am getting better in implementing my base knowledge.Than moved to medium. 3) created various functions/class(in python) while doing Kaggle projects or projects I took outside Kaggle to enhance modeling performance, for analysis and performance. 4) for getting a stronghold kept looking for RUclips videos like codebasics to have a full grasp on anything I could not implement with basics .
what other things required after learning python, to get a starting job in data science for a mechanical background student who also have idea of c and c++
sarvam chaurasiya SQL/any cloud knowledge(the one that the company use AWS, Azure,Google cloud)/projects relevant to the job you are applying for. This could help in starting .
