Hi. I am a patient with lifonsitic vasculitis, my tests sometimes give me positive ANTIBODIES (SSA) and protein c, it varies. But, Ro ANTIBODIES (SSA) always come out positive. My hair falls out a lot, any wound takes time to heal, I often get urinary infections, I feel exhaustion, weakness almost every day, pain in my knees, etc. I take prednisolone and chloroquine. Thanks for your video :) I like to read , watch videos and dialogue with my rheumatologist at every visit. (sorry for my English)
Hello. We are trying to get pregnant and I have recurring implantation failure. My clinic done lots of tests and I was told today that I am positive for Anti-Ro/SSA (SSA/RO60). I don’t have any symptoms. What does it mean? Should I see a specialist? She is a fertility specialist so didn’t know much about this condition and I am quite in the dark.
Great Video! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Ganrayden Peerless Gratification (do a search on google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for eradicating your urticaria minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend finally got astronomical success with it.
please : I have positive SSA, neg SSB, positive ENA and ANA but neg Double stranded DNA. I have malar rash, joint pain and fatigue but i have no diagnosis. may i ask what the possibilities may be? Thank you kindly
Hello! Great video as always! Was just wondering, in the SLE chapter in Harrisons 20E (Chap 349) Table 349-1, it says BOTH SS-A and SS-B are associated with DECREASED risk for nephritis. Can I get a clarification on this? Thank you!
Thanks for your informative video, lack of this kind of educational videos on Lupus lab tests on RUclips or google. How about ANA 1:80 and SSA 8 and all other antibodies are negative. Lupus nuclear Speckled pattering, All other blood tests are normal. Is it big chance of SLE?
I'm SS-A + 2.5 Al, negative SS-B, Negative SCL-70. I have been diagnosed with ineffective motility disorder as well and am being seen for heart palpitations and low heart rate. I'm otherwise healthy active 35 Y/O male. Trying to figure our what's going on. What do you think :)
I have been diagnosed with lupus SLE and sjorgrens syndrome SSA. And I cannot get into a rheumatologist until probably June what can I do until? Then? I have tried hydroxychloroquine and it does not react well to my body.
If a lip biopsy test is negative in someone with anti-ssa who has no disease syndrome, then what disease can trigger this antibody? Is it possible for someone with anti ssa not to get autoimmune disease?
My AnA and ssa sjogrens was positive in april and i just had labs again and my ssa is higher and my ana is negative but have lots of symptoms of lupus. Im really confused on why that is.
Only a doctor can help you with this...Your doctor will need a detailed history, a thorough physical exam and many labs (and repeated labs),...etc...So, please talk to your doctor.
I’m SSA positive sjorgrens, my dsdna has been coming back inderminate, what’s they likelihood that I will end up with a positive and develop lupus? Also I have positive NXP2, SRP. Polymerase 3 antibodies, what’s the likelihood that will develop into disease? I love your videos, they are fun and love your sense of humor 😊
@@gogolekolon5663 I’m still in the same boat but diagnosed with sjorgrens but being watched for everything else, my rheumatologist who has been following me moved out of state so I have a new one that I will see in a couple of months. Do you have any antibodies and if so are you diagnosed? I just wish someone would answer my question as to what is the likelihood of developing the disease if you have the antibodies.
@Taiwo Omotosho Yes I am aware. However I was tested for ANA and SSA/SSB and was negative for both test. However since last week, I have discovered that this patients are considered seron negative and usually test positive via the Early Sjogren’s Test by Quest Labs or a lip biopsy. Trying to avoid the lip biopsy but my doctor is refusing to send me for the early Sjogren’s test.
Thank you so much for your question! No one can diagnose you online based on a single lab test. This test alone is meaningless. It needs to be interpreted in light of medical history, physical exam, and other labs. Only a good doctor can help you with that! I wish you the best of luck!

I’m highly positive for SSA anti ro 60 and have an ANA titer of 1:320 with speckled pattern. I’m negative for DSDNA

"Ro" antibodies were coined in 1969 by Clark. et al., named after the patient from which the antibodies were extracted
Is that right?
Wow 😯
cytoplasmic ana pattern, for positive tpo and ssa. Elevated d-dimer and esr.
