That was great!!! You can't say Dominicans aren't lacking in humor! I loved it! The fast-track film reminds me in a way of 'Benny Hill' and his silly antics! LOL
I really enjoyed this. I am living with Frars, in the Bronx, New York and though I am not of any order, I live somewhat as you do. All the best Shaun of New York
Here in Oxford we used to have a weekday evening Mass with the community at Blackfriars but now it's in the morning which for some like me isn't great. There's still an evening Mass but not sung with the community as previously. I even remember when the Liturgy of the hours was combined with the Mass. I loved the sung Mass rather than simple low Mass.
I pray to Jesus, with the intercession of St. Dismas, for more vocations to the Dominican order from Spain, UK, Ireland, Sweden, France, Germany, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Hungary, Czech, Slovak, US, Canada, Australia, NZ, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Angola, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Haiti
dont forget to metion DOminican repupublic and santo domingo we literally are dogs of God lmaoo for real Dominican republic catholics are something else rlly use by the spirit
In the US I am currently a teen and am considering a vocation in the Dominican Order. Pray for me on my journey and for others also contemplating it. God bless
It's funny, I thought, "'Ooo, they have a snazzy coffee maker!", then I realized it is not in the states, so for Europe it's a regular cafe maker🤣🤣🤣 we drink our coffee in giant mugs, not shot glasses 😂😂😂
It is is irreverent to film Holy Mass in this way. Please respect Our Lord's Presence in the Blessed Sacrament by not filming in a casual manner. Pax et Bonum.
Sean Casie Chitty actually the only part of the mass that was filmed was with the incense, if you look in the background there is no one present when the act of consecration is shown. They just filmed it separately from the mass and didn't actually film the consecration.
Because there's such a thing as being appropriate to the subject at hand. And also because being a relentless hater and bigot who isn't actually interested in the latest historical research and a more nuanced view of history is a thing of the past except for right wing and left wing extremists, fundamentalists and ignoramuses, and of course, internet trolls.
The entire Roman Catholic Church has, for at least 800 years, acted in a sociopathic manner, murdering, sodomizing, and extorting money from those stupid enough to believe their dogma. The Domenicans are an agent of the Roman Catholic Church, manifesting in blood and suffering the sociopathy of that Church. My proof for that statement lies in the many apologies for vicious acts, essentially admitting the those acts. My proof?? ruclips.net/video/wMRuCS7MCG8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/1SJ6AV31MxA/видео.html
David Behrens, let me ask you this question--since the ability to apologize (e.g., Pope John Paul II's systematic purification of memories program leading up to the year 2000) far from proving unique badness indicates the absence of true sociopathy (yes, some people do understand psychology better than you!): Can you cite any of the many great, prosocial acts of service to humanity especially connected to the Roman Catholic Church? If not, do more homework or admit that you are constitutionally incapable of giving credit where credit is due.
The 'purification of memories program'?? ROFLMAO!! Sounds like George Orwell's novel 1984, where history was 'corrected'. The RC Church, a LARGE ORGANIZATION, has admitted performing collectively sociopathic decisions which resulted in the death and suffering of millions of people. This is NOT the stupid mistakes of an individual. These acts of sociopathy by the RC Church were decided by the leadership of that Church, after collective deliberation. The Church leadership, promoted from within, clearly expressed in those decisions the ideas placed in their minds over a long period of indoctrination into Catholic dogma. Giving a nine year of boy a baloney sandwich, after you sodomized him, is not in my mind great charity. Burning a person at the stake, whom some delusional group has declared a heretic, is not my idea of mercy. I’m interested in becoming a Dominican priest, I’m just wondering if they are diocesan priests, as that is how I would prefer to serve. Thanks again.
They are considered religious priests. Not secular (diocesan). I hope that helps!:)
0:38 ad Orientem worship? Nice.
Amusing video, but I am pretty sure that's not how the life of a dominican usually looks like. This is more like a "free day" hahaha
I recognize Bologna and the cardinal Zuppi 👌🏻
I thought this video was gonna be about the Dominicans from the Dominican Republic....... 🇩🇴🇩🇴

Probably that was a encenation, and not really the consecration.
Thanks for the comment - glad I wasn't the only one who felt rubbed the wrong way about that shot.
Encenation? Don't know that word, to do with incense?
*NO MENTION OF THE DOMENICAN'S MANAGEMENT OF THE INQUISITION. WHY?*
lol
