  • The Tamiya 1/350 scale USS Missouri is a good kit and it can be greatly improved with some basic scratchbuilding techniques, photoetch details and 3D printed parts. In Mike’s seven part series he will show you step by step how to improve and super detail this kit to produce a beautiful replica of the USS Missouri as she appeared in 1945.

What great timing, even though I'm working on the modernized New Jersey, a lot of your tricks and tips can be applied to it. Thank you, I'll be waiting for the next six parts.

      Glad to help
Although the Very Fire Missouri has more surface detail, the Tamiya kit is still a good kit despite its age.

Ooof! This kit has sat on my shelf since 1996. I've been scared of the commitment, I think. Maybe your series will motivate me. I have built wooden ship models before...this has got to be easier, right?
Beautiful ship, btw. I look forward to the rest of the videos!
